Gamao sauntered up to Sasorina. She wanted to punch him. She didn't want to think about Nightmare right now.
"What I did with Kiriya is none of your business." She snapped, and marched off. Before she could get far she felt a large hand on her shoulder.
"You care about him don't you?" Gamao hissed. Did she? She felt herself grow light headed as Gamao circled her. "If you're going to be this way, don't worry you won't be missed. There are lots of villains who would love to take your place." If she tried the black paper once again, was it possible that nobody wouldn't even care? Why was being wanted so important to her now? Was it selfish. Dune and Sabaku would laugh at her if they knew.
"Just take the Black Paper and stop wavering. You might not be of use to us anymore, but at the very least don't become a traitor." Would she be a traitor if she switched sides? She didn't care about being a traitor to Nightmare. That actually sounded rather tempting. But if she was a traitor to the rest of the Desert Apolstals...
"L-Leave her alone. Her decision is hers." Kiriya?! He followed her? He cared that much to risk his life to stand up for her? Part of her felt it was foolish, but she felt also something else... She couldn't describe it. The best she could come up with was that it was something that the cures would be over zealous about and find worth protecting.
"Let's see where your loyalty really lies..." Gamao turned into his monster form. Sasorina gagged as he turned into a quite unpleasant looking orange toad. Kiriya dashed over to her. Sasorina wasn't sure what to do. She didn't dare protect him, but she couldn't bring herself to run away. As much as she tried to come up with excuses, she couldn't burry how it felt wrong.
Gamao dashed towards Kiriya, his tongue circling around them. Sasorina leaped over it, leaving Kiriya in the middle of the pink web, and ran to the edge of the room. Her gaze fell upon him. His figure shaking, looking at her for help. She turned to go, but she just couldn't. What was this queasy feeling holding her back? Was this what was called guilt? Sasorina knew from all the Heartflowers she had stolen that guilt often times came when you did something 'wrong', or didn't do something that you apparently should of. It esapilly showed up when you hurt someone you cared about.
Did she care about Kiriya?
She wasn't sure what it meant to care about someone. But he and Eren cared about her in a different way that she had never experienced before. It felt... nice. She knew it was rather pathetic and weak for her to like them, but Kiriya had told her that doing what is best for your happiness was strong. So maybe it wasn't as weak as she thought it was, despite this she didn't think he knew much. Turning the world into a desert was easier. It was a part of her identity. And besides she didn't know how to be any other way.
Sasorina snapped out of her thoughts as Kiriya let out a cry after Gamao flung him into the wall. Kiriya gazed up, dazed probably. Sasorina cringed at the scratches all over his body.
"Can ya summon a Kowania? I don't think I'll need to, as one more blow will probably kill him, but it'll be good to have a trump card." Sasorina froze. It felt like time did too. Gamao was almost about to kill Kiriya? No... She wasn't sure why the perspective of him murdering Kiriya shook her to the core, but it did. The monster thing formed a fist and hurled it at Kiriya's Prism Stone. Sasorina didn't know much about the Prism Stones, but she was pretty sure that if his broken it wouldn't be good.
She was done with Nightmare.
She had made her decision.
"No!!" Sasorina couldn't think straight. All she could think to do was run, and punch him. Hard.
It was all over in a moment, but that didn't stop her choice from changing everything.
Thunk. Gamao's body scraped the floor. A squeaky metallic sound followed him.
"Thank you!" Kiriya struggled to stand. Sasorina turned bright red. She had actually done that... She had actually helped someone who wasn't a Desert Apolostal. Her first instinct was to head over to Sabaku's and beg for forgiveness, but he lived with Cure Moonlight now. Dune was dead. Dark Pretty Cure wouldn't accept. Cobraja was... someplace, she wasn't sure where, and Kumojacki probably hanging out with Oresky over at the Phantom Empire.
"I still think it's odd and rather annoying how the villians take so long to deice to become good or not, that was the case with Eas, Regina, Siren, the Kiryuu Sisters, and now you. It's always clear that their in agony leading up to it, and want to be good, but they can't for some reason." Kiriya said.
"Who said I was purified?!"
"But you saved me?"
"Urgh, what did you do that for?" Gamao got up and started to rub his back. "I was just about to finish him off, but you interrupted."
"Well I wanted, uh, a raise..."
"I need to eat!! You don't! Why do you need money, huh? You're not foolin' anyone. You switched sides." Gamao huffed. She had done one nice thing, and now everyone decided she was with the Cures now?! Gamao went on the loudspeaker. "Kawarino, we have a situation over hear. Sasorina's gone with the Precure."
"I haven't!" She snapped. If Kawarino caught her, this would be it. The current policy of the villain union for the purified ones, was to kill them. If your team was weakened, the enemy shouldn't be strengthened with a new member. She wasn't planning on joining the Precure though. She supposed dying might be for the best, but she wanted to stay alive.
"You look anxious."
"Of course she is, you know the policy." Gamao snickered.
"How about you teleport to Eren-san and rescue her, then we join up with the others, and head to the Garden of Rainbows." Sasorina wasn't sure what to do, she wanted to help Eren and Kiriya, but frankly she felt off helping the Precure.
"Fine." Sasorina warped to Dark Pretty Cure's room, where Eren was keeped last she knew. She breathed a sigh of relief when Dark Pretty Cure wasn't there.
"Eren? Are you here?" Sasorina called out. She plopped on the ground. What was she going to do now? She had nothing. She had left Nightmare, the Desert Apostles were gone. She didn't know how to be anything besides evil, so, she supposed the only thing left was to join another villain group. She shuddered at the thought. Another possibility was to try and blend into the human world, and build a 'normal' life, that idea made her want to vomit.
"You're back, are you going to try and hurt me now?" Eren's muffled voice came out from under the bed.
"I guess not," Sasorina pulled out the box, and opened up the lid, a navy cat was crouched inside.
"I was right! You do care about me!" Eren started to cry.
"Stop jumping to conclusions!" Sasorina crossed her arms. After Eren transformed back into her human self Sasorina wasted no time teleporting to where Kawarino was.
