Aoyama Mitsuru (青山充 )? is an animation director, animator and character designer affiliated with Toei Animation. He has worked on every season of the franchise thus far. He also worked on Ojamajo Doremi, Yume no Crayon Oukoku and many more.
History[]
After working for a few subcontract production companies, Aoyama became freelance and started working for Toei Animation. He made his debut as an animation director in 1983 with "Bemubemu Hunter Kotengumaru," and since then, he has usually been the animation director of at least one episode per anime where he is the sole person doing key animation. He debuted as a character designer in 1987 with the "Bikkuriman" series. He was a character designer again in 1993 for "Ghost Sweeper Mikami," an anime that aired in the same TV Asahi Sunday 8:30AM timeslot that Pretty Cure would eventually air in, working in some role for every anime in that slot from 1993 onwards.[1]
