The Baton Pass (バトンタッチ lit. Baton-Touch)? is a short scene that plays at the end of each series since Happiness Charge Pretty Cure!. There, the two lead Cures from the current and next season meet and talk to the audience.
Happiness Charge Pretty Cure! to Go! Princess Pretty Cure (HCPC49)[]
The message starts with Cure Lovely expressing her gratitude to the audience for their support over the past year. Then, Cure Flora calls out Lovely's name from off-screen, and Lovely moves aside to allow Flora to enter. Lovely then introduces Flora to the audience, and Flora greets them. She promises Lovely that she will do her best to lead their team. After Lovely speaks again, the two of them form a heart using their hands and shout "Happiness Charge!" while waving at the audience.
Go! Princess Pretty Cure to Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure! (GPPC50)[]
The message begins with Flora standing in a flower field and thanking the audience for their support over the past year, saying many flowers have bloomed thanks to them. Just then, she notices her magic dust floating down and looks up, seeing Cure Miracle sitting on her Magic Broom. She then jumps off the broom and lands beside Flora, and Flora introduces her. Miracle then introduces herself, saying that Flora passed the baton to her. She then casts a spell to change the background into a pink one with flower petals flying, which impresses Flora. The two then put their hands together and say "Gokigen'yo" as the scene changes to a red background with the Mahou Tsukai insignia.
Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure! to KiraKira☆Pretty Cure A La Mode (MTPC50)[]
The message begins with Miracle thanking the audience for their support and that it made them happy. Just then, Cure Whip falls from the sky and hits Miracle's head before landing on the floor. Miracle recognizes her from earlier, to which Whip formally introduces herself to her. The two then hold hands and Miracle casts one last spell, and the two of them wish that tomorrow will be filled with smiles.
KiraKira☆Pretty Cure A La Mode to HUGtto! Pretty Cure (KKPCALM49)[]
The message begins with Whip standing with the cake she made with the rest of the team and thanking the audience for their support over the past year. Just then, Cure Yell and Hugtan arrive and the two share a laugh. The two then chant "Kirakirakirarun♪Kirakiraru♪," causing Kirakiraru to fly from the cake. The message ends with Whip telling the audience that she loves them.
HUGtto! Pretty Cure to Star☆Twinkle Pretty Cure (HuPC49)[]
The message begins with Cure Yell and Hugtan thanking the audience for their support and that their cheering has made them happy. Then, Cure Star and Fuwa arrive, and Yell thanks her for helping earlier in the episode. Star then introduces herself and Fuwa to the audience and hopes to become a stylish Cure like Yell is. Then Yell cheers on Star while Star does the same for Yell. The message ends with Yell cheering for everyone before waving goodbye.
Star☆Twinkle Pretty Cure to Healin' Good♥Pretty Cure (STPC49)[]
The message starts with Star and Fuwa expressing their gratitude to the audience for their support. They then introduce Cure Grace, who appears alongside Star and Latte. Grace proceeds to introduce herself and Latte while Star announces that it is time for the horoscope, which typically plays at the end of every episode. However, this time, the horoscope predicts that everyone is lucky. Star and Grace then reappear on the screen, with Star expressing her hope for a "twincool" future.
Healin' Good♥Pretty Cure to Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure (HGPC45)[]
The message begins with Grace thanking the audience for the support over the past year, and Rabirin adding that it resonated with their heart paws. She then introduces the audience to her new friend, Cure Summer. Summer then introduces herself and asks the viewers to cheer her on while showing off her Latte Heart Kuru Ring. Grace then tells Summer to have fun while hoping for a healthy future. The two then high-five and tell the audience to take care while Latte says goodbye as well.
Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure to Delicious Party♡Pretty Cure (TRPC46)[]
The message begins with Summer thanking the audience for their support over the past year and that it was super "tropica-shiny". She then introduces Cure Precious, to which Precious enters, introducing herself and Kome-Kome and saying she is glad to be part of the team. Summer then says it is "tropica-shiny", which Precious finds to be yummy. Summer then says now that they are full of motivation, the two Cures put their fists in the air and shout about getting tropical. Summer ends the message saying that she will see everyone again.
Delicious Party♡Pretty Cure to Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure (DPPC45)[]
The message begins with Precious thanking everyone for their support over the past year. She then introduces Cure Sky, who lands beside her before introducing herself to the audience. Precious then flexes her arm while Kome-Kome floats next to her. Sky then says that a hero should always eat their breakfast. Hearing that word causes Precious' stomach to growl as she gets hungry again. Sky says that it is nice meeting everyone when Precious takes out two riceballs to share with Sky. The message ends with the two shouting "Deliciousmile!" while Kome-Kome and Ellee-chan appear in front of them.
Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure to Wonderful Pretty Cure! (HSPC50)[]
The message begins with Sky thanking everyone for their support over the past year while Ellee-chan floats in her sling while wearing pink and blue paw-print ribbons in her hair. Sky then introduces Cure Wonderful, who pops up in front of the camera before barking and greeting the audience. Sky comments on how much energy Wonderful has. Wonderful then introduces herself and tells the audience she can't wait to play with everyone. Sky then says that it is up to Wonderful to help carry things on. Then Sky says that there is one more thing to do: she and Wonderful take Ellee-chan's hands and as they say "Hop, step, jump!", they leap into the air, ending the message.

- Early messages featured the instrumental of the opening theme playing in the background. Current ones feature a BGM track from the season that is ending.
- The message between Lovely and Flora is the only one to not have any scene changes.
- The message between Whip and Yell is the only one where the incoming Cure does not address the audience.
- The Baton Pass messages tend to get cut out in international versions.
