This page is about the character from the Heartcatch Pretty Cure! movie; for the HUGtto! Pretty Cure character, see Yakushiji Saaya. Cure Ange (キュアアンジェ)? is a mysterious Pretty Cure mentioned in Heartcatch Pretty Cure!: Hana no Miyako de Fashion Show... Desu ka!?. She is also the very first Pretty Cure according to Heartcatch Pretty Cure!'s history, and is suspected to be much more powerful than the current Pretty Cures.

Appearance[]
Cure Ange has long, blond hair and light blue eyes. Unlike the rest of the Cures who appear in Heartcatch Pretty Cure!, she wears armor. Her armor consists of silver bracers on her arms and a silver breastplate with large shoulder pauldrons. Her breastplate is decorated with a thorny vine motif, and the center is emblazoned with the Heartcatch Pretty Cure! insignia. On her left pauldron is a large, red rose with vines that twist around her upper arm.
Underneath her armor, she wears a long white dress, a black cape, and elaborate high-heeled shoes. Her shoes are white and gold, and each one is decorated with a small red flower. She also wears a silver crown that wraps around her head. There is a silver heart on the front of it, and large white wings on either side.
She also carries a long staff or scepter. There is a silver orb on its handle and a crescent moon at its tip.
Relationships[]
- Baron Salamander: Cure Ange fought and defeated him 400 years ago. She then sealed him inside the abbey on Mont Saint-Michel.
Etymology[]
Ange is the French word for "Angel".
History[]
No one knows the true identity of Cure Ange nor where she came from. During the fight between Baron Salamander and Cure Moonlight in the movie, he reveals that Cure Ange is the one who sealed him away 400 years ago. It is also mentioned that she is somehow connected to the creation of the Pretty Cure Palace and Heartcatch Mirage.
All of the other Cures in Heartcatch Pretty Cure! are shown to have fairy partners, but it is unknown if Cure Ange had one as well.
Trivia[]
- Cure Ange's armor may have been inspired by the Valkyries in Norse Myth. She could also be a reference to Jeanne d'Arc.
- She shares her Cure name with Yakushiji Saaya from HUGtto! Pretty Cure.
- However, this only applies to the English translations of their names. Cure Ange's name is spelled キュアアンジェ (Anje), while the name of Yakushiji Saaya's Cure form is spelled キュアアンジュ (Anju).
