Cure Oasis (キュアオアシス)? is a legendary Pretty Cure from Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure.
Her real name is revealed to be Aunete (アウネーテ)? in episode 44.
Bio[]
Appearance[]
As Aunete, she had medium-length sandy blonde hair and gentle turquoise eyes. Her hair hung on her shoulders and her bangs were open and spread apart. She wore a dark lime dress with a long-sleeved, dull mint green swan-neck blouse underneath, dark bordering on the torso plus magenta crisscrosses, a pale lime apron with a triangular dark teal and pink pattern with gold trim to accent the waistband, and olive boots.
As Cure Oasis, her hair grows longer, turns bright yellow, and is styled in a high ponytail that looks like a palm tree with a turquoise ombre. The rest of is split into two thin, curled knee-length sections. Her eyes also have yellow heart-shaped flecks. Her dress has a green band at the top, a light blue bodice, and a magenta heart-shaped lower half, plus a light blue pumpkin skirt, similar to Cure Papaya's. The top and bottom of the skirt are decorated with green and light green leaf-like frills. The skirt has a magenta band while the downward belt is gold. She also wears a floor-length green cape fastened with a magenta flower brooch on her chest. The cape ends with light green scalloped segmenting. Her thigh-high boots are light green with darker-colored toe-tips resembling leaves from spiking out and split tops. Additionally, she wears frilly light green wristbands, light orange cuffs, green leaf earrings, and a tiara on her forehead made of a crimson bead and deep green droplet pieces adjacent to it.
As Tropical Paradise, her dress is larger and has a midriff, resembling a Hula or Samba dancer. Her dress consists of a green strapless bandeau top with pink leaf-like frills, and her retained brooch. Her skirt is layered with four different types of fabric: blue petal-like frills at the top, pink ones at the bottom, a pale green frilly layer, a spring green puffy layer, and light green triangular laces at the bottom. She also wears four shades of palm tree leaves (pale green, chartreuse, green, and dark green), which resemble feathers from the Rio Carnival.
Personality[]
Aunete was a kindhearted girl, and always did her best to help the needy. She also deeply cared for the Witch of Delays.
Relationships[]
- Witch of Delays: When the Witch of Delays was injured, Aunete took care of her and nursed her back to health. However, she was forced to fight against the Witch, who was destroying her town. But in the end, she and the Witch finally got to become friends in the afterlife.
Etymology[]
Aunete shares its pronunciation with the Danish name Agnete, which is a derivative of Agnes, meaning "chaste" or "sacred". The name is also found in Agnete og Havmanden, a Danish ballad in which the titular Agnete's relationship with a merman breaks off, just as the Witch of Delays and Aunete are separated.
An Oasis is a small fertile or green area in a desert region, usually having a spring or well.[1]
History[]
In the distant past, Oasis was once a normal girl named Aunete, who one day encountered the injured Witch of Delays in a cave by the seashore. Out of kindness, Aunete nursed her back to health, fed her some homemade rye bread, and gave her a ring made out of an anemone flower. However, when she returned to the cave, the Witch had already left, and she later had to fight against the Witch who was destroying her town. A mermaid later gave a pact and ring for her to transform for the first time into Oasis. Without any choice, Oasis was forced to fight with her, though the Witch decided to delay the fight for the next day.TRPC44
With her defeating the Witch, there began centuries of peace, until the Witch returned when a villain, who would later be revealed to be Butler, tried to free the Fool's Casket and got a cup of Motivation Power.
Cure Oasis appears during the toughest battles to give the Cures the Land and Marine Rings.TRPC29 TRPC36 Before these battles, she also appears in Manatsu's dreams fighting the Witch of Delays. She has a chat at one point with the Mermaid Queen about wanting to awaken the heart of the Witch of Delays. She appears before Manatsu after the latter was swallowed by a blue whale Yaraneeda, and recounts part of her past with the Witch.TRPC42
Oasis and the Witch's past is later fully revealed to the Cures via Laura. Oasis then tries to touch the Witch, only for her own hand to phase through the Witch's body, much to her sadness. Through Summer's successful persuasion, Oasis finally gets to meet the Witch again, and both of them reunite and disappear together, and she only gives out her alter ego name before ascending to the heavens with the Witch.TRPC44
She appears for one last time as part of Super Tropical Paradise as an entity named Tropical Paradise to help the five Cures defeat and purify Butler once and for all.TRPC45
