Dancing☆Star Pretty Cure The Stage (Dancing☆Starプリキュア The Stage)^? is a stage play to celebrate the Pretty Cure franchise's 20^th anniversary.

Directed by Hosa Kayou and supervised by Washio Takashi, the stage play will be held in Fall 2023 in Tokyo and Osaka. The stage play is based on an original story filled with dancing and battles, that follows 5 male high schoolers who transform into Pretty Cure.

Production

Dancing☆Star Pretty Cure The Stage was first revealed on April 28^th, 2023^[1], along with an animated key visual. On May 30^th, 2023, the cast was revealed with an updated visual to feature the stage play actors^[2]. On July 3^rd, 2023, new cast members were revealed^[3]. Later, on August 29^th, 2023, the new cast members were revealed wearing their characters' costumes^[4], as well as the civilian names for the main Cures^[5].

On April 5^th, 2024, it was announced that a sequel stage show would be taking place in February & March 2025^[6].

Synopsis

Hoshikawa Gaku loves to dance! He also specializes in dance!
He's a second year high school student who dreams of winning the national championship in the dance club of his dreams.

While on his way to the regular selection test, Gaku meets a young boy wearing a strange costume【Pas De Deux】, and a man in a suit with a blank expression.
The man in the suit suddenly starts to feel the rhythm to eerie music, where his appearance changes before going on the offense.
Just as he thought he had no escape, Pas De Deux's pendant shines brightly and a light surrounds Gaku...

"Pounding in my heart, a beat of hope! Cure Top!"
