Dark Magic

Dark Magic (闇の魔法, Dark Magic)^? is a wicked power used by Dokurokushe and the Dark Magicians in Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure!, and later Ire in Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure!! ~MIRAI DAYS~.

Characteristics and Powers[]

Unlike Magic, Dark Magic, as its name suggest, is a dark force that causes living beings and vegetation to wither and die. It is usually presented in an ominously dark purple or black color. It is also used to summon Yokubaru. When Dark Magic reaches its maximum peak, it can infect both the Magic World and No Magic World. However, using too much Dark Magic can take a large toll on a user's body.

It was invented by Kushe when he and Kouchou were trying to find a way to prevent the crisis of Deusmast. However, Kushe lost his life in the process, while compiling the spells of Dark Magic into a book, called the Dark Magic Book.

It is later revealed by Orba that Dark Magic is actually a figment of Mugic, but he and the rest of Never Ending Chaos consider it inferior to Mugic due to the emotions involved. This is evidenced by the photo of young Kushe and Kouchou, which Kushe had hidden in the book of Dark Magic.

Despite being deemed to be weaker than Mugic, Dark Magic is still powerful even for normal humans. This is revealed by Ire, who plans to learn and use Dark Magic to travel through time freely.^MTPCMD05

Trivia[]

By the end of Mahou Tsukai!, Batty and later Yamoh are the only Dark Magicians who can still use Dark Magic.
