Eyecatch (アイキャッチ )? is the name of the sequence that separates the first half of the episode from the other half by showing commercials in-between. This element is also present in the Pretty Cure series.
Futari wa Pretty Cure[]
Eyecatch 1
The first part of the eyecatch begins with the season's logo, then Mipple and Mepple interacting with the fairies from the Pretty Cure Cards, after Mepple opens up in his Card Commune form. It ends with Nagisa noticing the dizzy Mepple in the end.
The second part of the eyecatch has the Prism Stones gathered together, and ends with Mipple and Honoka looking at Wisdom from the Prism Hopish.
Eyecatch 2
The first part of the eyecatch has a mini demonstration on Mepple and Mipple using different cards, with a transition from Pollun, before ending with Nagisa and Honoka smiling to the viewers.
The second part of the eyecatch has Pollun opened in his Pretty Commune form, with Nagisa, Honoka, Mepple and Mipple interacting with one another. The eyecatch ends with Nagisa tripping over, with Honoka worried about her, while Mepple mocks her.
Notes
- In both eyecatches, the series' title, the Card Communes and sometimes the Pretty Cure Cards are animated in a CGI version.
- Nagisa and Honoka break the fourth wall by smiling at the viewers during the second eyecatch.

Futari wa Pretty Cure Splash Star[]
Eyecatch 1
The first part has Flappy and Choppy reverting into their normal forms from their device forms, when they realize a wrapped box is about to burst open. However, it turns out the contents are only Mai and Saki, who are with some accessories and sweets, making Flappy sweat while Choppy smiles.
The second part has the two girls and the fairies use the Fairy Charafe, only end up getting a lot of excessive beads landing on them afterwards, leaving them dazed.
Eyecatch 2
In the first part, Foop and Moop are playing with the Crystal Communes, when the communes suddenly summon Flappy and Choppy in traditional Japanese garments. Choppy is pleased with her clothing, while Flappy is embarrassed. Saki, Mai, Foop and Moop end up laughing of Flappy, until Flappy lashes out and chases after them, much to Choppy's disappointment.
The second part has the four fairies watering a plant, but they are surprised when the plant turns out to be a cake. The part ends with Saki and Mai holding the Splash Commune, which the four fairies are in.

Fresh Pretty Cure![]
Eyecatch 1
Miki, Inori, and Love do the heart gesture, and then present themselves as Berry, Pine and Peach respectively. The second part of this eyecatch has Chiffon being dressed in different clothes by the three girls via their Linkruns, and she laughs happily afterwards after wearing her last outfit and the chibi version of the girls transform automatically.
Eyecatch 2
Miki, Inori, Love and Setsuna do the heart gesture, before presenting themselves as Berry, Pine, Peach and Passion respectively. Chiffon is then shown playing with the Clover Box, which summons the Cures. The eyecatch ends with the four Cures gathering with Tarte and Chiffon.
Heartcatch Pretty Cure![]
Eyecatch 1
In the first part, Fairy Drop is shown, before the scene switches to Tsubomi and Erika trying out different outfits. They then use their Heart Perfumes and Heart Seeds to transform into Blossom and Marine.
In the second part, Tsubomi and Erika use their Heart Perfumes to spray Chypre, Coffret and Coupe after Coupe gives them the Heart Pot, and Coupe stares at the screen after the girls and the two fairies smile.
Eyecatch 2
In the first part, Tsubomi and Erika come up with different dress-up combos for Itsuki and Yuri, and the four girls transform after the dress-up.
The second part shows the Tree of Hearts and Tsubomi using the Heartcatch Mirage, then the four girls, along with the four fairies, land at the Tree of Hearts' location and relax together. Chypre, Coffret and Potpurri are then seen hogging the Heartcatch Mirage as the eyecatch ends.
Notes
- Despite the Heartcatch Mirage's first appearance in episode 32, the second eyecatch, which debuted in episode 25, shows it preemptively.
Suite Pretty Cure♪[]
Eyecatch 1
In the first part, Miry, Fary, Lary, Sory and Shiry are happily wandering, until they come across Hummy. Hummy then proceeds to sing, ending the part with Hibiki and Kanade, and also the five Fairy Tones.
In the second part, Kanade is trying to keep her cupcakes away from Hibiki, but gets distracted after Hummy eats one of the cakes. This gives Hibiki the chance to steal another cake, causing Kanade to angrily chase both Hibiki and Hummy.
Eyecatch 2
The first part has Hibiki, Kanade and Hummy taking turns playing the Cure Modules, and Hummy ends the first part with gathering with Hibiki, Kanade and Ellen after playing music to the Fairy Tones.
The second part has the Crescendo Tone summoned from the Healing Chest, and the three girls chase after them.

- This is the only season with two eyecatches to be updated twice.
Smile Pretty Cure![]
Eyecatch 1
The first part has Miyuki inserting a gold Cure Decor into her Smile Pact. Depending which Cure showcases, the Cures will speak out the names and cheer. If it showcases an Akanbe, the Cures and Candy. will panic. The second has Miyuki inserting a gold Cure Decor into her Smile Pact, showcasing Candy this time.
The second part, which normally shows Candy, sometimes shows an Akanbe instead, scaring the girls in the process. This happens on episodes 10, 17, 28, 33, 39, and 47. For all episodes that featured this Akanbe version, the commercial that aired before said eyecatch was for Tanoshii Youchien magazine. The only exceptions are episode 39, which featured two SunStar products (Color Wonder and Secret Jewelry Box), and episode 47, which features a Seiban backpack.
Notes
- This is the first season to feature varying eyecatches, and the season's upgrade form for the Cures. Also, the main Cures speak during the eyecatches.
Doki Doki! Pretty Cure[]
Eyecatch 1
In the first part, Mana is sitting on a chair, feeding Ai as the other girls and mascots gather around her. They then notice and smile at the viewers.
Eyecatch 2
In the first part, Sharuru, Raquel, Lance, and Dabyi are holding crayons, making a picture of the Cures, until Ai chases them with the crayons. The picture comes alive as Ai flies into Aguri's arms. The rest of the mascots show up, and are covered in crayon stains, much to everyone's exasperation.

Happiness Charge Pretty Cure![]
Eyecatch 1
Megumi and Hime take out their PreCards, slide their PreChanMirrors, and transform into Cure Lovely and Cure Princess respectively. They pose together after their quick transformations at the end of the eyecatch.
Eyecatch 2
Glasan and Ribbon contact the four girls, who are originally doing different activities. The girls then arrive and transform into Cures together, ending the eyecatch.
Notes
- Starting with Happiness Charge!, the eyecatches will be one-part. The first half of the eyecatch is now replaced with an animated logo of the series.
Go! Princess Pretty Cure[]
Eyecatch 1
Cure Flora, Cure Mermaid, and Cure Twinkle pop up successively. Pafu then presents herself with a different hairstyle each time at the end of this eyecatch, with the Cures usually calling out the name of the featured hairstyle.
Eyecatch 2
Pafu cranks the dial on the Music Princess Palace, which causes a burst of light pink petals to appear from it. The Cures one by one jump to their positions when the logo appears. Pafu and Aroma then fly in holding the palace while the Cures turn and smile at them.
Notes
- There is no eyecatch in episode 39. Instead, it is replaced by a black screen.
Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure![]
Eyecatch 1
Mirai, Liko, and Mofurun use the bead machine to make beaded necklaces. Liko's necklace then flashes, and Mofurun can be seen wearing the necklace on her head, as Miracle and Magical enter the scene to fix the necklace's position. They all smile to end the eyecatch.
Eyecatch 2
Mirai, Liko, and Kotoha are in their Magic School uniform with the Linkle Stones, when a giant Mofurun, also in a hat and shawl, picks Mirai up. It is then reveal to be Mofurun's imagination, with the eyecatch ending with Miracle and Felice smiling at Mofurun, and Magical sighing in relief.
Eyecatch 3
Mofurun dreams of helping the Spirits cross the road, with the three Cures on the Rainbow Carriage. She is then woken up in shock and falls off as the carriage flashes. The carriage opens to reveal the Spirits inside, with Mirai, Liko and Kotoha smiling with Mofurun, ending the eyecatch.
KiraKira☆Pretty Cure A La Mode[]
Eyecatch 1
After finishing their food, Ichika grabs Pekorin. They then brush their teeth together happily, ending the eyecatch.
Eyecatch 2
Pekorin is hungry, so Ichika surprises her with a plate of donuts, but the plate is becoming too heavy for Ichika to carry when more doughnuts appear. The eyecatch ends with Pekorin chowing down the donuts, while Ichika is struggling.
Eyecatch 3
Pekorin watches a sandwich being made. The eyecatch then ends with Pekorin eating sandwich at a picnic with her five human friends.
Notes
- Starting with this season, the eyecatches will now display randomly without the episode necessarily focusing on the featured character.
- Kirahoshi Ciel was never featured in any of this season's eyecatches.
HUGtto! Pretty Cure[]
Eyecatch 1
A beam of golden light flies towards the Cures, with Etoile and Ange, shown from the back, turning towards the camera before the light finally hits the Mirai Crystal on the spoon Yell is holding. A light pink heart flashes from it, transitioning to Yell feeding the Tomorrow Powerer to Hugtan. The crystal and the heart on Hugtan's forehead glow with flower-shaped lights, transitioning to a light pink background where the logo appears.
Eyecatch 2
The Melody Tambourine falls and bounces off Hana's head. She then catches it and plays it, causing Hugtan to shout happily. It is then revealed to be a dream, as Hana and Hugtan are asleep. This eyecatch uses a piano version of the background music.
Eyecatch 3
The Mirai Pad opens up three bubbles, with four of the girls doing different jobs; Saaya being a nursery teacher, Homare being a waitress, and Emiru and Ruru being singers. Hana then scoops up the bubbles with both her hands, with the Cures alongside her, before revealing the picture is inside the Mirai Pad.
Eyecatch 4
Hugtan is sitting in an empty field thinking about the Cures, who are shown in a thought bubble, and starts to cry. Just then, the five Cures in chibi form fall from the sky in a circle, landing on top of Hugtan's head as she smiles. This eyecatch uses a woodwind version of the background music.
Notes
- This is the first series to feature different music in each eyecatch, but with the same melody. The first and third eyecatches use the original version while the second and fourth ones have different instrumentation.
Star☆Twinkle Pretty Cure[]
Eyecatch 1
Fuwa is seen with Madoka, Elena, Lala and Hikaru with different desserts. Fuwa and Hikaru end the eyecatch behind the Twinkle Book.
Eyecatch 2
Hikaru and Fuwa are eating donuts. The scene zooms out to show Prunce at the big donut's hole, and meets up with Fuwa and Hikaru as he flies out. Both Fuwa and Hikaru are happy to see him at the end of this eyecatch.
Eyecatch 3
Yuni and Hikaru are looking through their telescopes. They then see each other, and Yuni smiles at Hikaru before winking in the end.
Eyecatch 4
Fuwa flies past Madoka, Elena, Lala and Yuni. The eyecatch ends with Hikaru brushing Fuwa on her lap.
Notes
- This season's eyecatches follow the same format as KiraKira's, but two eyecatches are replaced with two other eyecatches half way through.
- There is no eyecatch in episode 48.
Healin' Good♥Pretty Cure[]
Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure[]
Eyecatch 1
Asuka, Minori, Sango, and Manatsu apply lipstick while chibi version of themselves pass by carrying their lipsticks, with Manatsu pulling Laura and Kururun in an open Heart Coffret Box before the two fall over. The Cures then stand in a row in front of their lipsticks as Laura sits on Kururun.
Eyecatch 2
The girls are watching Kururun balance different Heart Kuru Rings with their nose. The last one is always a transformation Heart Kuru Ring that changes depending on who the episode focuses on. The scene then transitions to the respective Cure in chibi form appearing.
Eyecatch 3
The scene transitions between Asuka and Sango, Minori and Kururun, and finally Laura and Manatsu, all of them wearing either a Pretty Amulet or Perfume Shiny Brace. The amulet itself appears in the corner and rotates between different refills as the scenes transition. It ends with the logo appearing with chibi versions of the Cures on it.
Eyecatch 4
Chongire makes pancakes while Elda, Numeri, and Butler watch. After the finished pancakes with their faces on it wipes downward on the screen, the four are seen eating the pancakes. This was only used in episode 33.

Delicious Party♡Pretty Cure[]
Eyecatch 1
The Energy Fairies are flying on a hot air balloon, before showing that they are sleeping in glass cups, with their three partner Cures watching them.
Eyecatch 2
Yui, Kokone and Ran point out different Recipepes in the sky, and they happily smile at each other on top of a hill.
Eyecatch 3
Kome-Kome enjoys different meals, as she grows up in her human form. She then grows into her teenager stage, and gathers with her friends to have a feast.
Eyecatch 4
The four Cures run around with their shopping trolleys in a supermarket, before Cure Precious takes out her rice ball themed bag. The four Cures are then shown inside a basket, where the Energy Fairies watch over them.

- This season marks the first time a supporting character appears in the eyecatches.
Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure[]
Eyecatch 1
Sora and Mashiro are shown tapping the puff of the Shiny Powder Fragrance. It then transitions to Sora and Mashiro applying the perfume on their wrists and smelling it, with them then turning and smiling at each other.
Eyecatch 2
Sky, Prism, and Wing sit on top of wing-shaped clouds, all of them holding the Pretty Holic Stationery, with Wing also holding Ellee-chan. It then pans to a giant version of the stationery with Tsubasa, Ellee-chan, Sora, and Mashiro appearing and greeting the audience.
Eyecatch 3
At Mashiro's house during the night, the Cures pretend to transform in front of Ellee-chan. After they finish, Ellee-chan laughs before the group strike poses. The lights from the Sky Mirage wipe across the screen, showing the outside of the house.
Eyecatch 4
The Cures reach out for the Majestic Chroniclon before quickly the shot switches to the five Cures posing around the season's logo.

- This is the first season since Mahou Tsukai! to have eyecatches that run for a certain number of episodes before being replaced.
Kibou no Chikara ~Otona Pretty Cure '23~[]
Eyecatch 1
On a clock, Nozomi and Kurumi go from middle schoolers to adults, followed by middle school Rin and Urara becoming adults, and finally middle school Komachi and Karen becoming adults. The eyecatch finishes by showing the entire clock with the six adult women.
Eyecatch 2
On a clock, Saki and Mai go from middle schoolers, to Cure Bloom and Cure Egret, then Saki almost dropping her bread in front of Mai with both girls as adults. The eyecatch ends with Saki and Mai posing like they did as Cures, and then smiling at each other.

Eyecatch 1
Komugi puts on lipstick and looks at herself in the Wonderful Pact's mirror. Iroha then comes into view and puts on lipstick as well. The two laugh before they are shown in a different animation style with Komugi jumping up and down and Iroha watching. This actually turns out just be Komugi's dream as the camera pans down to reveal a thought bubble and Iroha petting Komugi as a dog. Next to them are four Pretty Holic lipsticks.
Eyecatch 2
Iroha and Mey Mey are watching the Kirarin Animals doing various activities through the screen of the Kiraniko Trunk. Just then, it switches to Komugi, who starts running towards the two, much to their shock. The portal then opens and Komugi, now in her human form, hugs Iroha while surrounded by the Kirarin Animals.
Eyecatch 3
Komugi and Iroha show off their Wonderful Pacts, followed by Yuki and Mayu showing off their Shiny Cats Pacts. It then transitions to them as a group with Komugi surprising Yuki behind her back while Mayu becomes startled and Iroha smiles.
Eyecatch 4
The Diamond Ribbon Castle is shown on Iroha's desk and its doors open. The Cures look inside and see Niko viewing the Niko Garden while massaging her face. Niko then turns to smile at the audience, and takes off her bathrobe before posing in front of a background with hearts and rainbows on it. The Cures continue to watch her while she does that.
Kimi to Idol Pretty Cure♪[]
Eyecatch 1
There is a split screen of Uta, followed by Nana, and Kokoro. It then ends on the three Cures as their Pretty Cure alias, waving their KirakiLights with Purirun and Meroron.

- Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure!! ~MIRAI DAYS~ is the first series in the franchise to not include eyecatches. Instead, the transition is replaced by the title's logo.
