  FICTION ◆ ◆ ◆ ◆ MERCHANDISE

The Fairy Tones (フェアリートーン Fearī Tōn)? are jewel-like mascots that provide aid to the Suite♪ Cures. They grant power and abilities when they are inserted into the Cure Modules, Miracle Belltier, Fantastic Belltier, or Love Guitar Rod.

Appearance[]

All of the Fairy Tones resemble each other but have different colors. They are small creatures with bodies that match their signature color. Each Fairy Tone has a heart gem attached to a gold crown and a larger gem on top of their head. Their faces are white and heart-shaped, featuring simple details.

Crescendo is a pure gold Fairy Tone and shares the same characteristics, but she has a relaxed expression, unlike the others who have excited, wide-eyed looks. Additionally, Crescendo has large wings shaped like musical notes, a more elaborate crown, and a tail ornament.

Abilities[]

The Fairy Tones can be inserted into the Cure Modules when the Pretty Cure transform, but they can leave the Cure Module and move around after the transformation. When a Negatone is defeated, the Cures and Hummy purify the notes, which are then stored in the Tones. The Fairy Tones also have the ability to disable the musical staff created by the Minor Land team by attaching themselves to the staff and playing their respective notes. In addition to sounding out their own notes, they can speak normally and imitate the sounds of other instruments, such as wind chimes, the school bell, a drumbeat, and a whistle.

Fairy Tones[]

There are a total of nine Fairy Tones. Aside from Dodory and the Crescendo Tone, the other seven were introduced at the beginning of the series. Dodory was first seen on Cure Muse's shoulder in the opening sequence, while the Crescendo Tone made its first appearance during the second promotional video for the Suite Pretty Cure♪ movie.

Trivia[]

  • The Fairy Tones are the first batch of mascots that also directly serve as transformation items without needing to change forms.
  • All refer to themselves with the first-person pronoun "boku", and have slight differences in their speaking voices.
  • The Fairy Tones' names are based on the Solfège scale. The bolded letters are a symbol of what they represent.
    • Dory = Dream (ドリーム Dorīmu)?
    • Rery = Legend (レジェンド Rejendo)?
    • Miry = Miracle (ミラクル Mirakuru)?
    • Fary = Fantasy (ファンタジ Fantaji)?
    • Sory = Soul (ソール Sōru)?
    • Lary = Love (ラブ Rabu)?

      • They end their sentences with the above bold letters repeated twice (e.g. Dory and Dodory end theirs with "~dodo!"; Rery ends his with "~rere!").
  • Dory, Rery, Miry, Fary, Sory, Lary, Shiry, and Dodory all share their voice actor with Kudou Mayu from Yes! Pretty Cure 5, and Heartcatch Pretty Cure!.
  • The Crescendo Tone shares her voice actor with Princess Crepe from Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo!, and Sharuru from Doki Doki! Pretty Cure.
  • For some reason, Fary's arms are shorter than the rest of the Tones, making him unable to cross his arms, as seen in episode 16.
  • Crescendo signals "a gradual increase, especially in the volume or intensity of sound" in music. This is indicative of the Crescendo Tone's power to allow the Cures to attain their stronger Crescendo forms.
  • Dodory's eyes have star-shaped pupils, instead of the regular circles that the other Tones have.
  • In episode 47, the eight Fairy Tones were able to combine together to become the Crescendo Tone.
