Hanadera Takeshi

Hanadera Takeshi (花寺たけし, Hanadera Takeshi^?) is a minor character who appears in Healin' Good♥Pretty Cure. He is Nodoka's father and Yasuko's husband.

Appearance[]

Takeshi has dark brown hair with eyes of the same color. He wears black framed glasses. He wears a navy gray jacket with a white shirt underneath. His pants are bright blue and his shoes are brown.

Personality[]

Takeshi is a supportive and caring father, encouraging his daughter to carry through when she was extremely ill. He is also quite friendly and easygoing, eager to befriend new people.

Relationships[]

Hanadera Yasuko and Hanadera Nodoka: His family. He and Yasuko love each other and also their daughter dearly, going as far as looking after Nodoka with the best they could back when Nodoka was sick.
Fuurin Asumi: A house guest he and his wife took in. Like his wife, he is unaware that Asumi is a wind spirit and at first is confused by her strange behavior, but has a good relationship with her and is sad when Asumi has to leave.

History[]

Prior to the season, Takeshi and Yasuko's daughter Nodoka had a severe illness that brought about Nodoka's hospitalization. When Nodoka was hospitalized, he and his wife supported her so that she could overcome her illness and recover faster. He and his family then moved to Sukoyaka City in episode 1 so that Nodoka would have faster recovery in a rural city. He and Yasuko soon allowed Nodoka to look after Latte in episode 2.

In episode 4, Takeshi is delighted Nodoka having a new friend Chiyu, but he is a bit disappointed that he can't get to know Chiyu better as Nodoka drags Chiyu away.

In episode 14, after he and Yasuko were told by the doctor that Nodoka's health was improving, they were both happy. When Nodoka wonders why she is feeling healthier, Yasuko and Takeshi simply tell her that the cause doesn't matter as long as she is healthy.

In episode 21, Takeshi meets Fuurin Asumi for the first time. He and his wife think it is best to contact Asumi's guardians before letting Asumi stay at their house, but eventually let her stay after Nodoka tells them she's a foreign backpacker who got separated from her group. Takeshi gets very confused when Asumi refers to Latte as "sama" and when she shows confusing ways of eating.

In episode 28, Yasuko and Takeshi are upset that their daughter has once again fallen ill, but they are overjoyed when they realize she has recovered.

In episode 43, he is among the affected citizens when King Byogen infects the Earth, but later joins in with the others to support the Cures in episode 44. As a result, he and Yasuko realize their daughter was a Cure the whole time, but choose to keep their knowledge a secret from Nodoka.
