Katsuki Kana

Katsuki Kana (勝木かな Katsuki Kana^?) is a minor character in Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure! and she is one of the students who attend Tsunagi First Middle School. She is in the same class as Asahina Mirai and Izayoi Riko.

Bio[]

Appearance[]

Kana has light skin and downward-slanting brown eyes. Her darker colored hair is worn in low pigtails over her shoulders, held by green scrunchies. She has short bangs evenly split at the center and thin forelocks.

She is usually seen wearing her school uniform, and she wears white knee-socks with it.

Personality[]

She always seems to be around whenever Mirai and Riko use magic making her wonder if witches exist. Every time she says she sees a "witch", everyone tells her she is seeing things. Later on, it is revealed that she believes in witches and dreams of seeing one which happens in episode 46.

Relationships[]

Nagase Mayumi: Her classmate. They become closer friends after Kana helps Mayumi to confess, and later comforts a heartbroken Mayumi.

History[]

Throughout the season, Kana has witnessed several magical happenings, such as Mirai and Riko riding on broomsticks and Ha-chan and Mofurun exiting from a storage^MTPC11, Ha-chan as a dragon ^MTPC15, and a magic carpet ^MTPC16, much to her surprise.

In episode 16, Kana and Mayumi become friends with Jun, Kay and Emily, although both of them are confused about the three girls' unfamiliar terms and excitement regarding their surroudnings during their trip. Both Kana and Mayumi also notice their magic carpet during evening after they leave with François.

In episode 34, Kana learns that Mayumi has a crush on a boy from another middle school, so she along with Mirai, Riko and Kotoha, encourages Mayumi to confess, only to see Mayumi heartbroken afterwards. After learning that Mayumi was rejected by the boy, who already had a girlfriend, she comforts her even when she cries harder than Mayumi, and both girls become closer friends.

In episode 46, she and Mayumi are attacked by Benigyo during Christmas, until the Mahou Tsukai! Cures rescue them. Both of them promise the Cures to keep their rescue a secret.

In episode 49, as a college student, she mentions never seeing any witch since middle school.

In episode 50, Kana and Mayumi are walking through the streets when they witness the floating strawberry melon breads in the sky. They are then surprised and overjoyed to watch the Rainbow Carriage fly by.

Trivia[]

Though Kana is aware of the existence of magic and witches, she does not know the identities of the magic users on the brooms.
She is the only character to see magic occurring in No Magic World.
She and Mayumi made a cameo in Pretty Cure Miracle Leap.
