He is originally an unofficial mascot of Funabashi, Chiba, created by a citizen of Funabashi to promote his/her own website and gaining widespread popularity in Japan through film, festivals and television.[2] You can see Funassyi's information here.
Appearance
Funassyi is an anthropomorphic yellow pear, wearing a light blue shirt that has a red bow on the front near his collar.
Personality
History
Funassyi was shown with the civilians scrambling from a Saiark. To strengthen the energy for the Pretty Cure, he, along with several of civilians, summon the Miracle Lights given by Ribbon and Glasan.
Later during the film, he uses the Miracle Light one last time to power up the Pretty Cure inside the fictional Doll Kingdom.
Trivia
- Funassyi is the first real life person (or in this case, prefecture mascot) to officially debut in any Pretty Cure Movie.
- Hiroaki Shibata, the producer of the anime stated that Funasshi "has a positive attitude in any situation and a policy of appearing anywhere to spread joy to people." Those aspects go hand-in-hand with Happiness Charge Pretty Cure heroine Cure Lovely, striving with all her might and a positive attitude for everyone.
