The Raging Feelings! Minami's Real Feelings! (湧き上がる想い!みなみの本当のキモチ! Wakiagaru Omoi! Minami no Hontō no Kimochi!)? is the 44th episode of Go! Princess Pretty Cure and is the 579th episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.

Summary[]

Minami becomes worried as she tries to decide whether to pursue her original dream of being part of the family business or her newfound one to become a marine doctor. Kirara senses this worry within Minami and tries to help her out.

Major Events[]

  • Cure Mermaid performs Coral Maelstrom for the first time.
  • Minami reveals her new dream is to become a marine veterinarian.

Synopsis[]

Minami dreams about swimming with Tina and sea creatures before her father's ship arrives and prevents her from swimming any further.

As the students are setting up a Christmas tree, Kirara goes to the library to study English and French when she finds Minami reading a book that picques her interest. After Minami leaves, Kirara looks at the book, Doctor of the Sea, by Asuka. Haruka finds Minami staring out the window, and asks if she is all right, but she says it's nothing.

Zama-sensei tells Minami that she hasn't turned in her career guidance survey, which is rare for her. Minami asks her why she became a teacher and if this was always her dream. Zama-sensei says that her dream in elementary school was to be an idol, in middle school a cop, and in high school, a cartoonist, until settling on a dream of educating, and indecision isn't a bad thing.

Kirara calls Minami to the beach for an "emergency", which is really to drink some tea before it gets cold. Minami is annoyed at this, but Kirara says that the real emergency is Minami being worried, and shows her the book she was reading, which she checked out so she could read it without sneaking around. Minami says that's none of her concern, and Kirara says that she wanted to return the favor for everyone supporting her dream. As they drink their tea, Minami tells Kirara about her recurring dream of being unable to get further into the sea. Kirara asks her if she wants to go and she says that she is not certain.

In Hope Kingdom, Shut angrily looks up at the yellow rainbow that appeared alongside the red rainbow.

Haruka tells Yui of her concerns about Minami, which is confirmed by Towa based on something Minami said in the past.

Shut goes to Earth to try to defeat the Pretty Cure. Zama-sensei asks him what he is doing here and tries to take him to the guidance office, but he imprisons her dream, to nurture the dreams of her students, and creates a Zetsuborg. Minami, Kirara, Pafu, and Aroma notice Shut and the Zetsuborg, and Minami and Kirara transform into Mermaid and Twinkle. Mermaid is not fighting as well as she usually does. Flora and Scarlet arrive and protect her from the Zetsuborg's attacks, but she is still unable to do anything, weakened from wavering in her dream.

Flora asks Mermaid why she didn't tell them anything. Mermaid says she has found a new dream and her concern is over which one she should pursue. Flora says there is nothing wrong with changing her dream, and Scarlet says she'd like to hear it. Twinkle says what you want to pursue is what counts. When Shut tells the Zetsuborg to attack Mermaid and it knocks Flora, Twinkle, and Scarlet aside, Mermaid dodges its next attack and kicks it into the water, saying she knew all along that her new dream was welling up inside her and she tried to turn away from it because of her childhood dream. She then dives into the water, punches the Zetsuborg, and spins and throws it, saying she will no longer hesitate to walk the path she believes in, as a bright light shines from her and she uses her new attack, Coral Maelstrom, on the Zetsuborg. The Pretty Cure then destroy the Zetsuborg with Grand Printemps. Shut angrily teleports away, and Mermaid releases Zama-sensei and her dream.

As Kanata finds the Castle of the Sea, Minami tells the other girls about her new dream to become a marine vet and understand the sea, to connect with the sea and its denizens directly. Towa suggests contacting Asuka for advice, who is in America and Minami has been reading her blog every day. Haruka says she and the others wish her luck and are rooting for her dream to come true.
