Surprise! Asumi and Latte's Diary (びっくり！アスミとラテ日記 Bikkuri! Asumi to Rate Nikki)? is the 26th episode of Healin' Good♥Pretty Cure and is the 808th episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.
Summary
Asumi wants to write a diary about Latte. However, no one is around for her to ask questions on Latte's past experiences.

Synopsis
Asumi curiously approaches Nodoka and Rabirin as they take care of a morning glory outside of her home. She shows her the observation diary she is doing on it as homework, in which she is taking notes of its growth. The first one she tried growing withered away but now they have seeds, and its growing steadily. Time has gone by so fast, in and in saying that, Rabirin recalls when they were given their mission to protect the Earth and locate their human partners. Asumi is surprised as Nodoka points out it has been some time since they met, and she asks about her experience becoming Cure Grace and what made her choose Nodoka. Before she can answer, Nodoka has to leave for school, so Rabirin decides to continue the story without her. She was trapped and Nodoka came to her and Latte's defense, and their hearts resonated.
Rabirin takes off for her own plans and Asumi becomes inspired to write a diary about Latte. She will have to ask everyone what happened prior to her birth, which for some reason worries Latte. She attempts to distract Asumi but it doesn't work, and she leaves Nodoka's place against Rabirin's order to stay there. She admires the weather when she happens to come across Pegitan, who was carrying a bamboo stick. He greets Latte and Asumi asks him how he met Chiyu, explaining her desire to show Latte's mother the diary some day. Pegitan approves of the idea and she pulls out her pen and notebook. Pegitan expresses that he lacked confidence when he arrived on Earth. Their hearts resonated when Chiyu offered to share her courage with him, allowing her to become Cure Fontaine and help Cure Grace during battle.
Asumi wants to speak with Chiyu but Pegitan rejects the idea. He suggests she visit Hinata's place instead and points her out in the direction, and she arrives just in time to see her leaving. Nyantoran is still there though, so she asks him about choosing her for his partner. He laughs as he recalls how hectic Hinata was when they met, and how excited she was over realizing he could speak. He thought it was strange initially, but as he got to know her, he realized that she possessed what he wanted in a partner. Nyantoran cuts his story short after realizing the time and he takes off. Asumi remarks on how busy everyone is and she decides to stop by the juice stand for a drink before they leave. Latte seems anxious as she asks Mei why she is too is so busy, and she reveals that there is a firework festival that evening.
While walking, Asumi wonders what fireworks are like when she happens to spot a pair of girls donning yukata. She smiles seeing how much fun they are having when Chiyu sees her and curiously wonders why she isn't home. She approaches Asumi and reveals that Pegitan informed her of what she was doing. Asumi is surprised they aren't together, and Chiyu explains that they aren't always with their animal partners. She was separated from Pegitan more than once, but it was because of that she was able to grow closer to Hinata at a time when they weren't seeing eye-to-eye. Since then the three of them have gone on to form a close bond.
With that Chiyu decides to leave, and she warns Asumi to return home before dark. Asumi begins to observe the girls once more before she resumes heading home, only to bump into Hinata, who is on the phone talking to someone. She momentarily panics upon seeing her and quickly tries to cover-up the conversation she was having by bringing up Nyantoran telling her of Asumi's plan. She brings up the time she almost quit being a Pretty Cure, but Asumi feels a little disappointed. She is very strong, but the three of them have each other to rely on, while she does not feel that way. Hinata runs off and as Asumi approaches the middle school she is located by Nodoka. She asks her about their ability to perform Healing Oasis, but listening to her story causes Asumi to feel a little saddened again. She attempts to explain her feelings but Nodoka is called by a classmate, so she leaves for home as she thinks about the festival again. It makes sense that the girls would attend it with her classmates and friends, which is why they are so busy today.
At home, Asumi thinks about her birth as she holds Latte. She was born to protect her, and she loves her very much. So as long as she has Latte, she isn't lonely or in need of anything else. At least she thought so. More than anything she wanted to attend the festival with the girls. Just then Nodoka arrives to her room to see that Asumi is partially transparent. She takes her hand and leads her outside, where the girls reveal their surprise for her. They put together a flowing noodle machine with the bamboo, and they even got her a yukata. Everyone dresses up and they begin to enjoy themselves, admiring the beautiful fireworks in the sky.
The following day, Asumi has added another entry to her Latte diary. She thanks Queen Teatinu for sending her to Earth.

Trivia
- This is the first episode where Latte does not fall ill because of a Megabyogen attack. The Cures also do not transform, nor was there a battle. However, the Cures are seen transformed in the flashback scenes.
- This episode was designed as a recap as it was originally supposed to air after a three-week break because of the 2020 Olympics[1], but because of the COVID-19 pandemic pushing the Olympics to 2021 and putting the series on hiatus, it instead aired the week after episode 25.
