Synopsis[]

The day after Sora loses her powers, she is absent from school. After school, Mashiro buys some chocolate chip melon and bread and tries to check up on Sora, but she's not there. Sora has returned to Sky Land and left a note saying that she couldn't become a hero. When Sora arrives at her house, her mother Remi opens the door and is surprised to see her devastated daughter. She thought that Sora was helping lift the curse of the King and Queen. Suddenly, Sora's little brother Red comes towards him and is excited to see her. He thinks that Sora has become a real hero, causing her to feel guilty. Her father Shido tells the rest of the family to come in so they can eat.

Sora discusses everything that has happened to her over dinner. She thinks that the Mirage Pen first appeared because of her feelings, and her fear of the plan to help Shalala failing caused it to vanish, as did her hopes of becoming a hero. Red protests Sora giving up on her dream, but Shido tells him it's wrong to meddle in a decision someone thought hard about. Red then runs back to his room and calls Sora a scaredy cat, but her parents tells her to ignore him and enjoy her tsew.

Back at the house, Tsubasa and Ageha are about to cross the tunnel to Sky Land, but Mashiro stays behind, thinking they should all leave Sora alone. However, Tsubasa is upset that Sora didn't talk to them first. Nonetheless, the two of them go to Sky Land while Mashiro is told to wait. She goes back to Sora's room and closes her notebook while remembering how motivated Sora was to become a hero just before she learn about what happened to Captain Shalala. Yoyo wonders how someone could move forward if they lose sight of their dream.

Tsubasa and Ageha arrive at Sky Land and go to Sora's house, but Remi tells them that she and Shido are away right now. Sora and Shido arrive near a lake that brings back memories for Sora. She remembers coming there one day and wishing to become a hero after she confronted a group of bullies who were picking on weaker kids. She is doubtful at first because she felt she wasn't strong enough and hated fighting, but Shido asks her what her heart is saying and suddenly, a lot of shooting stars appeared in the sky. Sora then wishes on the stars that she will become a hero. Back in the present, Sora is at the verge of crying because her wish didn't come true.

Back at Sora's house, Remi tells Tsubasa and Ageha that Sora is still Sora even though she didn't fulfill her dream and that she needs more time. The two agree to leave, but not before Ageha tells Remi that they love her very much. Back at the lake, Sora gets ready to throw her powerless Sky Tone into the water. At Sorashido City, Battamonda is glad Sora can't transform anymore, but he decides to devastate her even more by hurting her friends.

The next day, Mashiro writes a letter to Sora. Soon after, the Cures learn that the Shalalaborg is now attacking the city. Mashiro gives Yoyo the letter to deliver to Sora and the Cures transform to confront Battamonda. At Sky Land, Sora is chopping wood when Yoyo and Ellee-chan arrive with Mashiro's letter. She doesn't know what to do at first, but Red encourages her and she nervously takes it. She then slowly opens it and reads the letter. Mashiro writes how Sora was against her becoming a Cure at first because she wanted to get stronger, but now it is Mashiro's turn to be strong. The others can handle the Shalalaborg and that she doesn't have to be a Cure and fight. Finally, she writes that Sora has already become a hero in her eyes. When Sora finishes reading the letter, she realizes how cowardly she was and that a hero would never run away, but she regains her resolve and wants to help her friends again. Having recognized her dream again, Sora's Mirage Pen reappears. With encouragement from her family, Sora starts her return to the city after Yoyo tells her about the Ranborg attack. While traveling through the tunnel, Sora decides she will become a hero again if that's what's meant to be.

While that happens, the Cures struggle against the Shalalaborg, who has been strengthened with more Undergu Energy. Battamonda tries to goad them to give up, but they continue to fight. They eventually reach their limit when none of their attacks work and the Shalalaborg easily defeats them. Just when Battamonda has won, the tunnel opens up in the sky and Cure Sky makes her triumphant return. Prism tearfully watches, knowing her words have gotten Sky back on her feet. Sky charges into battle with Sky Punch and declares that even if she falters, she has friends that will help her push forward. With her newfound strength, Sky manages to destroy the Shalalaborg's cape and knock its sword out of its hand. Everyone is delighted that Sky has found her will again. Sky then asks Prism to perform Updraft Shining to purify the Shalalaborg, and after they do so, Yoyo gathers the last bit of Kira Kira Energy needed to complete the potion and Butterfly uses the power of recovery on Captain Shalala.

While the Cures wait for Shalala to wake up, Battamonda attempts to attack them again, but Prism orders him not to do anything. Sky takes Shalala's hand and tells her that a hero will always get back up again and again as long as others believe in them. This causes Shalala to finally wake up, which thrills everyone. Sky cries happily as she embraces Shalala, happy that they're together again. While this happens, Battamonda tries escaping, but the Cures angrily stand in his way. Sky walks away, saying that she will become even stronger so Battamonda won't even stand a chance against her anymore.

That night, Shalala rests in their home and asks Yoyo if she raised the Cures, and she says it was actually them that some things to Yoyo. Outside, Sora says she may still be naïve, but she will continue to work towards her goal in that way. Mashiro then presents Sora with her notebook, and she happily accepts, looking to the sky as she declares once more that she will become a hero.
