Take Off! Memories Connected By Airplanes (テイクオフ! 飛行機でつながる想い Teiku Ofu! Hikōki de Tsunagaru Omoi)? is the 26th episode of Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure and is the 944th episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.

Summary[]

Mashiro's parents are finally returning from overseas for a visit, so Sora and the gang go to the airport to pick them up. While exploring the airport, they meet a girl named Shoko who knows a lot about airplanes.

Major Events[]

Synopsis[]

Mashiro is having a video chat with her parents, who plan on returning to Japan to visit her after completing a project. The other Cures overhear the conversation from outside and celebrate her parents' return once they regroup in the house. Mashiro tells everyone they are landing at the Momozora Airport in a couple of days, which Sora remembers is where they took Midori. The Cures then all agree to go to the airport together.

The Cures arrive at the airport and have a look around while waiting for Mashiro's parents. Sora and Tsubasa are especially ecstatic to learn about the crew. They eat melon bread at the food court and check out the souvenirs at the gift shop. They then go to the observation deck, where they watch a plane take off. Tsubasa is the most interested, as he still admires airplanes even though he can fly on his own now.

Still, Sora doesn't know how a plane could fly without flapping its wings. Happy to show his knowledge on the subject, Tsubasa explains that while birds use their wings to get wind under them, airplanes use jet engines to go fast, and the wind they generate makes it fly. While Sora thought he was referring to carrots, Tsubasa adds that both birds and airplanes fly by catching the wind. He is about to say the scientific word for it when a little girl suddenly shouts it. The Cures turn to find the girl explaining that no one can see the wind but they can see anything that floats on it, demonstrating by blowing bubbles. Tsubasa asks the girl if she's also interested in airplanes and they all begin using the telescopes to watch the planes land.

While taking a break, the girl introduces herself as Amana Shoko, which means "child that flies high". Tsubasa then tells her his name, which included the surname "Yuunagi" he and Ageha came up with. Shoko then says that she wants to be a pilot like her mother and will be riding an airplane piloted by her for the first time. Ageha asks Shoko if there was another adult accompanying her, and she remembers going to look around while for father was checking in. Shoko realizes she should have obeyed her father and starts crying. Ageha promises Shoko they will help find her father. Just then, an announcement comes over the loudspeakers concerning a lost child, and they all start going to reunite Shoko with her father. Sora carries Shoko on her back, but doesn't know where the information desk is. Meanwhile, Minoton arrives at the airport.

The Cures are able to find Shoko's father and the two reunite. Everyone is relieved and her father thanks the Cures for bringing her back. He also explains how their family can't always be together, which Mashiro instantly relates to. It is then time for Shoko and her father to leave, and they all wave goodbye. Tsubasa thinks of how airplanes connect the passengers' memories while flying them. Just as they are about to go wait for Mashiro's parents, another announcement about lost children is made, but it's actually just Minoton looking for them, so they head back to the observation deck.

The Cures reach the deck and Minoton summons a Ranborg from a fan he was using to cool himself off while waiting. He then has the Ranborg use its wind to darken the clouds and cause turbulence, delaying the flights. Still, the Cures make sure Shoko can ride on her mother's plane and Mashiro's parents arrive, so they all transform. During the fight, Wing struggles the most because the strong gradient winds made it difficult for him to get much altitude. Prism and Butterfly then create a diversion, allowing Wing to dizzy the Ranborg by flying at low altitude. Minoton then has the Ranborg increase the strength of its wind, blowing the Cures away, and the strong turbulence prevents Wing from reaching them. Just then, Wing remembers Shoko blowing bubbles, and asks Prism to use her Prism Shot on the wind so he can see its flow. Prism launches her attacks and Wing follows its path. After Butterfly casts the power of protection, Wing uses Wing Attack to purify the Ranborg. The skies clear and Minoton retreats.

With everything back to normal, Shoko's plane takes off and the Cures watch, hoping she has a good trip. Then, they begin waiting for Mashiro's parents to land, and she is excited for the others to meet them. They arrive and after greeting everybody, they all go back to her house where they are given shirts with Mashiro's face on them, much to her embarrassment. They then eat lunch and go shopping together. Not long after, Mashiro's parents had to go back overseas, and despite being sad that their visit was brief, she now has lots of friends to keep her company.
