Synopsis[]

It is almost the end of the summer holiday, so the Cures head to the beach. Sora has never seen an ocean up close before, so she is completely awestruck by it once they arrive. She learns from Tsubasa that the Earth is made up of 70% ocean, which shocks her even more. Mashiro then decides that it's time to go swimming, but Sora nearly drowns, and they soon learn that she can't swim.

They return to their spot and Sora says she was attempting to walk on the bottom of the ocean because she could do so at Sky Land's lakes. However, now she really wants to learn how to swim and asks everyone if they could help her. Tsubasa is first, having learned how to swim back in Sky Land. He tells Sora to use her wings, but Sora doesn't have any. Next, Ageha gives it a shot, but her lesson involves more walking than swimming.

Finally it's Mashiro's turn. She demonstrates that she's a great swimmer, having taken lessons when she was younger. First, they practice floating. Sora tries to relax her body so she can feel like she's floating in the sky, but she tries too hard and ends up falling. She tries again, but is still too tense. Nonetheless, Sora still wants to overcome this. Then, Tsubasa joins them and tells them to focus more on having fun and shows Ageha and Ellee-chan playing on the beach. They then decide to make the lesson fun.

Mashiro gives Sora a snorkel and the two go underwater to look at the fishes, and Sora is marveled by the bottom of the ocean. After they came back up, the others join them bringing some swim rings they rented. Sora is given one, allowing her to float. They then all enjoy the beach and do different activities such as swimming, riding on a boat, enjoying a watermelon Sora had split up, eating shaved ice, and playing volleyball. Elsewhere, Minoton is doing some training when he spots the Cures playing in the sand.

While watching the others make a sandcastle, Sora realizes that she forgot to practice her swimming amidst all the fun they had. However, Mashiro assures her that she can swim, as she was learning while they were playing instead of trying too hard. Then, Minoton appears, and he is angry at them playing on the beach instead of training. He turns one of their swim rings into a Ranborg and after everyone activates, the Cures transform. Sky realizes that she is floating above the ocean and starts to panic, but Wing brings her back to dry land before she could fall.

Sky tries to fight the Ranborg, but because it was made from a swim ring, it can float on the water easily. Sky gets the idea of letting the air out of the Ranborg, but it traps her between its feet and sends her into the ocean. Luckily, the other Cures are able to pull the Ranborg away from her, but they couldn't get to Sky and she is left sinking. While she drowns, Sky remembers everything Mashiro had told her earlier and starts to think she can swim, and starts going back up.

On the surface, the Ranborg has trapped the other Cures, when suddenly Sky starts swimming towards it. Everyone is glad to see that she has finally learned how to swim. She punches the Ranborg and has it release the others before throwing it across the ocean. Sky is thankful for everyone helping her discover the love of the ocean, and she and Prism use Updraft Shining to purify the Ranborg. Minoton decides to find another place to build his muscles and retreats. Later, the Cures enjoy the sunset while Mashiro writes a letter to her parents about her summer.
