Hasekura Kazuki (支倉一樹)? (Hamilton in the Canadian English Dub) is a minor character in Futari wa Pretty Cure. He is a second-year student at the boys' division of Verone Academy that belongs to the basketball team.

Appearance[]
Kazuki has short spiky chestnut-brown hair with matching eyes. Outside of school, he wears an egg white unbuttoned dress shirt, with a red t-shirt underneath, denim jeans, and black sneakers.
Personality[]
Kazuki is shown to be rather pushy, such as when he interrupts Nagisa as she tries to reject his advances by asking if she liked chestnuts, and saying that they'll go chestnut picking tomorrow. Despite this, he is not really a bad person, as in the end, when he realizes he likes another girl, he is greatly apologetic to Nagisa for stringing her along that day. As Honoka puts it, Kazuki is a free and easy-going person overall. He is shown to be quite nice, such as when he bought bento lunches for both him and Nagisa on the day of their trip.FwPC35
He seems to be attracted to girls full of spirit, those that are strong and powerful, which was why it was love at first sight for him when he saw Nagisa competing in the sports relay,FwPC34 and when he saw Cure Black carrying him in her arms.FwPC35
History[]
He first appeared in the thirty-fourth episode of Futari wa Pretty Cure. During the school's sport festival, he, along with his seniors, Fuji-P and Kimata, watch the girls participate in the hoop dance event. Despite Nagisa tripping up, Kazuki becomes interested in her. Later, Kazuki notes that Fuji-P was the one who told him about Nagisa, the girl who would be participating in the upcoming relay race. Kimata teases Kazuki for being interested in her, but he tries to deny it. During the actual race, as Kazuki watches Nagisa compete against Yuka, he notes to himself that he's fallen for her.
In the following episode, Kazuki waits outside the gate to the girls' division of the school. As Nagisa, Shiho, and Rina walk to school, they notice him and wonder who he's waiting for, only to be surprised when he reveals that he was waiting for Nagisa, confessing his love to her and asking her out on a date. Suddenly, several girls crowd around the two, and a flustered Nagisa is unable to respond to his request. Later that day, Nagisa waits outside the boys' division gate to respond to Kazuki. However, the boy pushily interrupts by asking if she likes chestnuts, saying that they'll go chestnut picking the next day, to which Nagisa is not given a chance to say no to. Kazuki claims to go chestnut picking every year, as the chestnut rice his grandmother makes is delicious.
The next day, Nagisa waits for Kazuki at the bus stop. Not seeing him at first, she's relieved, only for him to suddenly appear behind her, with box lunches for the both of them. The two enjoy themselves picking chestnuts. Kazuki tells Nagisa that when he first saw her at the sports relay, he liked what he saw, that being "a girl with lots of spirit." Nagisa is flattered, but remembers that she planned on rejecting him today, so she runs off flustered. After a disguised Honoka gives her some courage, Nagisa is about to reject Kazuki, but they are suddenly attacked by a strong gust of wind. As the Zakenna approaches, Kazuki grabs Nagisa and the two run away. Juna appears and knocks Kazuki unconscious. As the spiky Zakenna chases after the girls, Cure Black notices Kazuki's body lying ahead, so she tries to grab him, but she is almost squished by the rolling Zakenna, only to end up running on top of it while carrying the boy's body. Kazuki begins to wake up slightly and sees a mysterious girl holding him, before falling unconscious again. Cure Black lies him down by a tree before she goes back to the battle.
Once the battle is over, Kazuki awakens to see Cure Black in front of her. He tries to reach and call out to her, only for her to be suddenly gone. As Nagisa and Kazuki continue to pick up chestnuts, the boys tells Nagisa there's something he needs to tell her, with Nagisa also bringing up she has something to say. He apologizes to Nagisa for forcing her to come pick up chestnuts with him, as he just found his "ideal girl" here, that being Cure Black, a "strong and powerful girl who looks good in black." Nagisa then says that she had been planning to turn him down, with Kazuki saying that despite all this, he still had fun, to which Nagisa agrees. Kazuki then runs off, calling out to his "ideal girl," leaving Nagisa behind with all their chestnuts. Honoka notes that Cure Black left a stronger impression on him. Once the girls return home, it's revealed through Pollun, who ate the boxed lunch Nagisa stayed up the previous night making, that she was planning on food poisoning Kazuki with chocolate and candy-stuffed rice balls to make him dump her.
In Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart, Kazuki does not appear in-person, but he is mentioned in episode 15 by Tabata Nao, a friend of Hikari's, who says that he is her idol, with their friend Kagayama Miu, concurring. Nao also plays basketball like Kazuki.

- He shares his given name with Aono Miki's younger brother, Ichijo Kazuki.
