Notes[]

  • One of the interviews in this book revealed details about Healin' Good's production:
    • The plan for Healin' Good started 2 years prior to its release, and this season was meant to be short due to the Tokyo Olympics. Even so, this season ended up being 1 episode shorter than what the crew members had expected from the then Olympics because of Covid-19.
    • The staff members were already planning the finale when the hiatus caused by Covid-19 started. How to present Healin' Good's story as they had planned became their first priority since the hiatus.
    • Even after the release date for Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure was decided, there was still no guarantee that Healin' Good's 45th episode could be broadcasted safely. Episode 44 was made to be the true ending, whereas episode 45 was made with cancellation in mind.
    • Despite the expected short number in episodes, the production of Healin' Good was greatly effected by the pandemic. As the studio can only have a max of four people dubbing at the same time, voice actors have to take turns to record. Staff therefore had a hard time arranging dubbing order to correlate with the story. Animators also had a hard time doing their work, because most reference data were stored in the studio, DMs couldn't be used freely to collect drafts either.
  • Series director Ikeda Yoko revealed in this official complete book that she was shocked to learn how episode 42 gained so much negativity. She explained that Nodoka made this decision to preserve her healthy body and life, and not all villains like Daruizen can be redeemed.
