Saaya in Doubt? What Is It That She Really Wants To Do? (さあやの迷い？本当にやりたいことって何？ Sāya no Mayoi? Hontō ni Yaritai Koto-tte Nani??) is the 7th episode of HUGtto! Pretty Cure and is the 691st episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.

Summary

After learning about Saaya's past as a child actress, the girls are confronted by Ichijou Ranze, who declares herself as Saaya's rival because of her anger of being given a smaller role in that same commercial. Saaya then prepares for an audition that Ranze also plans on attending, but is still nervous about performing in front of a group...

  • Saaya's parents are seen for the first time. It is also revealed that Saaya's mother, Reira, is a famous actress.
  • Ruru attacks the Cures for the first time.
  • Cure Ange receives the Navy Mirai Crystal, which strengthens her Heart Feather! attack and allows her to use it offensively.

Synopsis

Hana and the others discover that Saaya was a former child actress who became popular by starring in a vegetable commercial a long time ago. A girl names Ichijou Ranze, who stars as a backup dancing leek in the same commercial appears and declares herself as Saaya's rival. She then reveals to be the identity of Saaya's mother. She also reveals thay she and Saaya will have an upcoming audition. Hana is eager to cheer Saaya on, but Saaya is worried about her stage fright. Still, she practices for the audition regardless.

Later on, Saaya has the opportunity to practice whilst she is alone. Hana and Homare happen to see her, and Hana is udderly convinced that Saaya is like an angel. Hana and Homare are able to help cheer Saaya up. Just before the audition, Hana and Homare come up with an idea to give a Saaya a little boost just before she performs. Saaya has overcome her fear and she is able to perform her audition, though she deviated the script slightly.

Ruru then arrives and brings out an Oshimaida in order to attempt to defeat the Pretty Cure. The trio arrive and transform into Pretty Cure. Ruru analyzes their moves and Ange refuses to back down. Ange confronts Ruru that she will not let her desire to protect her friends and be overcome. This powers up her Mirai Crystal and does an upgraded version of Heart Feather!.

After Ruru retreats, Saaya earns her Navy Mirai Crystal. Saaya wins the audition and someone shows up out of nowhere hugging Homare.
