Karasu Tengu (鴉天狗 Karasu Tengu,? lit. Crow Tengu) is the movie-exclusive main antagonist of Pretty Cure Dream Stars!. They are an evil demon who took over Sakura's world of Sakuragahara to steal all the beautiful things for themself.

Appearance[]
Karasu Tengu is a comical villain that has blond hair with three fan-shaped ponytails sticking straight up and sharp teeth. Their appearance is based on the tengu yōkai, including the bird theme, the clothing, the sharp teeth and the long nose. They dress in feminine red and black striped clothing and wear prominent, shiny make-up.
Personality[]
They speak in lavender linguistics with a falsetto tone, and refer to themself as "boku-chin" (ボクちん)?, which is a cutesy way of saying "I". They are also rather hammy, breaking the fourth wall in order to talk to the audience and act like an announcer.
Karasu Tengu views Sakura and the Pretty Cures as a threat.
Etymology[]
Karasu (鴉)? is the Japanese word for "crow" and Tengu (天狗)? is a type of yōkai.
Abilities[]
Karasu Tengu is shown to have mind control abilities, which they use on Shizuku to transform her into Samidare.
Trivia[]
- Karasu Tengu's design and speech aims at the japanese "okama" caricature, similar to Madam Momere and Leva. Though the depiction is less offensive, missing for example the 5 o'clock shadow beard that Momere and Leva sport. "Okama" jumbles ideas about homosexuality, transgender women and flamboyant men together and is considered derogatory. In this case, the voice actor is a comedian and the character was most likely designed and written with his performance in mind.
