Kasai Yuan (菓彩ゆあん)? is a minor character from Delicious Party♡Pretty Cure. He is Mitsuki's older twin brother and Amane's oldest brother. He is a black belt karate athlete and also works at Fruit Parlor KASAI.

Appearance[]
Yuan has black hair and dark indigo eyes. He also has a beauty mark beneath his right eye. He wears a light gray T-shirt, a gray necklace, a black leather jacket, dark gray-cyan jeans, and black shoes. When he's doing karate, he wears the white karate uniform with a black belt. When he's at work, he takes off his jacket and wears a mint colored apron that has pink straps, and an image of fruits with the word "KASAI" on the front.
Personality[]
Yuan is a hot-blooded and friendly boy. He is serious about karate. However, he cares about Amane and can be very protective towards her.
Relationships[]
- Kasai Mitsuki: His younger twin brother. Although they have a contradictory personality, they're always seen together, except when he's practicing karate.
- Kasai Amane: His younger sister who he does karate with. He is serious about her karate training but still cares more about her well-being.
Etymology[]
Kasai (菓彩)?: Ka (菓)? can mean many things, such as "candy", "cakes" and "fruit"[1]. Sai (彩)? simply means "coloring", "paint" and "make-up"[2].
Yuan (ゆあん)?: "An" (あん)? comes from "anmitsu" (餡蜜)?, a traditional Japanese dessert made from fruits. It could also come from "anko" (餡こ)?, which means "red beans".
History[]
Yuan first appeared in episode 13 along with his twin brother, Mitsuki when the girls visited their house to see Amane. Since the girls couldn't see Amane at that time, Yuan promised that he would tell Amane about their visit when she woke up. He also introduced himself after Kokone wondered who he and his brother were.DPPC13
After Amane woke up, he trained with her at the park to help her regain her strength. Later one afternoon, when he is working at Fruit Parlor KASAI, the girls visit them again. He greets them but goes back to work after Mitsuki shows them where Amane is.DPPC17
It is revealed by Amane that Yuan once had a fight with Mitsuki when the three siblings were younger, due to him having to share the same birthday cake with Mitsuki which didn't align with their preferences. Among the twins, Yuan is the first one to figure out what Amane is going, which embarrasses her. When Narcistoru steals their memories, he and Mitsuki almost get into a fight, but they make up after they regain their memories and happily enjoy the different birthday cakes with their sister and her friends.DPPC19
Both Yuan and Mitsuki are invited to Restaurant Du Lac by Rosemary, complimenting the girls as well. Together, they then dance with their sister.DPPC20
When Princess Maira visits, Yuan and his brother serve a parfait to the girls and Rosemary. While introducing the parfait, his carefree antics with his brother embarrasses Amane.DPPC31
At the school's cultural festival, Yuan and his brother decide to help Moe, but without much progress, until they get Narcistoru to help them. Both brothers, along with Moe, then give him the candied apple Amane had made, and are happy when Narcistoru enjoys it. DPPC37
