Kibou no Chikara ~Otona Pretty Cure '23~ (キボウノチカラ~オトナプリキュア‘23~ lit. Power of Hope ~Adult Pretty Cure '23~)?, also called Power of Hope: PreCure Full Bloom by Crunchyroll, is a spin-off sequel anime series based on the Yes! Pretty Cure 5 and Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo! team, and Futari wa Pretty Cure Splash Star team as adults.
Directed by Hamana Takayuki and produced by Toei Animation and Studio Deen, the anime aired on October 7th, 2023 on NHK.

The trademark was filed on March 13th, 2023[1], and was later officially announced on March 14th, 2023[2]. On June 20th, 2023, a new visual was added on the website, as well as a cast update that revealed the inclusion of Natsuki Rin, Hyuuga Saki, and Mishou Mai[3]. On August 19th, 2023, the key visual was updated to reveal Kasugano Urara, Akimoto Komachi, Minazuki Karen, and Mimino Kurumi as part of the cast[4]. On August 31st, 2023, the updated poster was revealed alongside the air date and official trailer[5].
Story[]
Nozomi may be a bit of a scatterbrain, but she is always cheerful and optimistic.
When Nozomi was an ordinary middle school student, she met Coco, a mysterious fairy from Palmier Kingdom.
In order to protect everyone's wishes,
As the Pretty Cure of Hope, Cure Dream, she joined forces with her friends to fight against a powerful enemy.
Time has passed since then, and Nozomi and her friends are now adults.
They all walked down different paths towards their own futures.
Work and private life, friends, family, love, having fun and being busy...
Everyday is a struggle with worries and hurdles to overcome after becoming adults.
Suddenly, a mysterious shadow appears and attacks humans...!
When the bell of the clock tower rings, a new story of Nozomi and her friends who have become adults begins to unfold!

- Yumehara Nozomi (夢原のぞみ )?: Although Nozomi is a bit of a scatterbrain, she is always energetic and lively. Nozomi leads others with her positive attitude. Nozomi has a past where she fought against many villains as a Pretty Cure in her second year of middle school.
- Natsuki Rin (夏木りん )?: Rin is extremely athletic, and is very reliable. Rin is Nozomi's childhood friend, and remained friends even as adults. She sometimes goes out drinking with her. Rin has a past where she fought against many villains as a Pretty Cure in her second year of middle school.
- Kasugano Urara (春日野うらら )?: Urara is cheerful and hardworking, but is bit of an airhead. Admiring her late mother, who was a great actress, Urara has been active in the entertainment industry since her school days. Urara has a past where she fought against many villains as a Pretty Cure in her first year of middle school.
- Akimoto Komachi (秋元こまち )?: Komachi's easygoing attitude and gentle smile leave quite the impact. Komachi is soft-spoken and friendly, but is also strong-willed, loves books, and is full of curiosity. Her family owns a traditional Japanese sweets shop. Komachi has a past where she fought against many villains as a Pretty Cure in her third year of middle school.
- Minazuki Karen (水無月かれん )?: Karen is calm and stoic, as well as smart. Karen has a strong sense of responsibility, and is the type of person who doesn't do things half-heartedly. Karen has a past where she fought against many villains as a Pretty Cure in her third year of middle school.
- Mimino Kurumi (美々野くるみ )?: At first glance, Kurumi looks like an ordinary woman, but her true identity is Milk, a fairy from Palmier Kingdom. Kurumi is strong-willed and full of pride, but opens her heart to those she cares about. Kurumi once transformed with the Pretty Cure and fought against many villains.
- Hyuuga Saki (日向咲 )?: Saki is a mood-maker who lightens the mood with her innocent smile. Her family runs the PANPAKA Pan Bakery, and she loves chocolate cornets. Saki once transformed into a Pretty Cure with Mai and fought against many villains.
- Mishou Mai (美翔舞 )?: Mai is quiet, and attentive to the tiniest of details. Since middle school, Mai has loved drawing, and had great awareness of the surroundings. Mai once transformed into a Pretty Cure with Saki and fought against many villains.

- Coco (ココ )?: Coco is one of the Palmier Kingdom's kings.

- Hoshino Kenta (星野健太 )?: Saki and Mai's classmate from middle school. He is also Yuuko's husband, and one of the co-owners of Cafe and Bar Time.
- Hoshino Yuuko (星野優子 )?: Saki and Mai's classmate from middle school. She is also Kenta's wife, and one of the co-owners of Cafe and Bar Time.
- Katagiri Rumi (片桐るみ )?: A student Nozomi used to teach, before moving to the countryside due to her father's failing business and her parents' divorce.
- Bunbee (ブンビー )?: A former villain and currently an ally of the Yes! 5 girls.
- Jii-ya/Sakamoto (じいや / 坂本 )?: Karen's family butler.
- Akimoto Madoka (秋元まどか )?: Komachi's older sister.

- Be made with the adult fans in mind as the target audience.
- Feature the main characters as adults.
- Be broadcasted on NHK Educational, instead of TV Asahi.
- Begin airing in October, instead of February.
- Be produced by not only Toei Animation but also Studio Deen.
- Have consequences for the Cures' transformations.
- Despite being a sequel to Yes! Pretty Cure 5 and GoGo!, Kawamura Toshie does not return as the character designer. The characters are instead designed by Nakajima Atsuko.
- Kibou no Chikara (キボウノチカラ )? is taken from Cure Dream's introduction after she transforms.
- With the inclusion of both Yes! 5 and Splash Star characters, it is indicated that the Land of Greenery and the unnamed town from Yes! 5 and GoGo! are located in the same setting.
- Garden of Rainbows is also implied to be the same setting of all three aforementioned seasons, due to Yukishiro Sanae from Futari wa Pretty Cure and Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart.
- According to producer Murase Aki, she only considers this series and its overarching plot to be one of the possible futures for the eight main characters, and that their futures are not fully set in stone.[6]
