Kise Chiharu

Kise Chiharu (黄瀬ちはる)^? is a minor character in Smile Pretty Cure!. She is the widowed wife of Kise Yuuichi and the mother of Kise Yayoi.

Bio[]

Appearance[]

Like Kise Yayoi, Chiharu is a pretty young woman with shoulder-length dark caramel-brown hair that has curls inwards around her head with long bangs parted to the right side and dark brown eyes.

She is normally seen wearing a pink long-sleeved top, with a white apron over it when she is cooking. Her normal attire is a light gold and brown jacket over a white shirt and a matching skirt, along with tights and brown heels.

Personality[]

In Yayoi's flashback, Kise Yuuichi describes Chiharu as a gentle and kind person who also has a fun-loving and sweet personality, which is implied when she told Yayoi about April Fool's Day and used a fib about making pancakes for breakfast to lure her out of bed. ^SmPC09

Etymology[]

Kise (黄瀬) - "Ki" (黄) means "yellow", while "se" 瀬 means "river rapids".

Chiharu (ちはる) - Although Chiharu's name is written in hiragana, it was revealed in Episode 19 that her kanji name is written as 千春 or "a thousand springs" and this is the inspiration that Kise Yuuichi got for Yayoi's name.

History[]

In Episode 19, it is revealed that Chiharu is a widow as Kise Yuuichi has died in an unknown accident or illness. Her most prized possession is a Father's Day card made by Kise Yayoi for her late husband when their daughter was four years old (it is unknown how Chiharu got the Father's Day card).

Chiharu works as an agent for a fashion company named Fairy Drop (from Heartcatch Pretty Cure!) and her job scope includes organizing fashion shows and keeping in contact with fashion designers.

Chiharu is the first parent to be shown in the Smile Pretty Cure! season.
Hikami Kyouko, Chiharu's voice actress, also voiced Momozono Ayumi (Momozono Love's mother) in Fresh Pretty Cure!.
