Nozomi's Wish (ノゾミノノゾミ Nozomi no Nozomi)? is the 5th episode of Kibou no Chikara ~Otona Pretty Cure '23~.
Summary[]
Kurumi informs Coco and Natts in Palmier Kingdom about the Shadows. When Natts learns that another of the sinister Time Flowers has bloomed in Cure Rose Garden, he heads to the town where Nozomi and the others live.

Synopsis[]
Nozomi is giving a lesson about dreams when after her students tell her what they want to be, one of them asked her why she decided to become a teacher. She proceeds to tell the class about how a middle school teacher she met when she was younger helped her gain confidence in herself and realize her potential.
That night at Café and Bar Time, the girls discuss the recent attacks from the Shadows and how they need to find out what is causing them to appear in the first place. Nozomi finds that the Shadows were first mentioned on Dark Night Light's streaming channel, while Kurumi says that she has contacted Coco and Nuts about it. The mention of Coco's name makes Nozomi smile, which the others comment on after she leaves the café.
Back at Palmier Kingdom, Coco discusses what is happening at the Doughnut Kingdom, which has lost most of its trees due to deforestation and its reservoir is nearly empty. Knowing that there is also a drought at Palmier Kingdom, Coco felt helpless. Meanwhile, Kurumi asks how things have been between Nozomi and Coco, and Komachi explains how they used to see each other often before Nozomi graduated from college and became a teacher, with them now communicating mainly through letters. At the kingdom, Nuts mentions the letter that was sent to him about an emergency on Earth when Syrup arrives to tell Coco and Nuts that another Time Flower had bloomed. After remembering learning about the sinister nature of the flowers, Nuts plans on going back down to Earth to warn the Cures about them as well.
Komachi and Kurumi discuss who Dark Night Light were after Kurumi watched several of their videos, and Komachi, who is also in charge of planning activities at the shopping district, suggests they could help revitalize the town. Just then, Nuts arrives in response to the letter, turning into his human form. Nozomi later meets the three of them at the café, but is disappointed to learn that Coco isn't there. Later, as they are eating dessert, Bell attacks again, sending more orbs into the city. Natsu senses something is wrong and finds someone's silhouette being turned into a Shadow. Natsu, Komachi, and Kurumi give chase at one of the Shadows while Nozomi spotted another one in the alleyway. She then arrives at the exact same alley where she first met Coco when Bell suddenly appears and transports her into another dimension.
Nozomi finds herself in her classroom where a shadowy version of her tells her class that dreams are a waste of time. Nozomi argues that she is wrong, causing Bell to drop the illusion. Meanwhile, the other three look for Nozomi while trying to avoid the Shadows. Kurumi transforms into Milky Rose to fight them off. Bell introduces herself to Nozomi and tells her that she is only putting weak-hearted humans to sleep when summoning the Shadows. She then tells Nozomi that her heart is wavering before turning into a wavering version of her wondering if Coco even cared for her anymore. Nozomi tries to argue about his duties at Palmier Kingdom, but Bell retorts that even so, he should have checked on her anyway. Nozomi attempts to transform, but due to her doubts, it disappears.
Back in the real world, Natsu says that he sense something even more powerful than the Shadows that disappeared along with Nozomi. Just as Nozomi is about to be consumed by the Shadows, Coco arrives, turning into Kouji and rescuing her. Bell, still as the wavering Nozomi, accuses Kouji of ignoring her and losing interest in her, but he tells her that he thinks of Nozomi every day. Bell then turns into a wavering Kouji, calling himself powerless for not being able to protect then Palmier and Doughnut kingdoms, but Nozomi rebukes Bell by telling her how much of a hard worker and caring king Kouji is. Angered, Bell has the Shadows combine to form a larger one. Wanting to protect everyone's future, Nozomi regains the ability to transform into Cure Dream and purifies the giant Shadow with Shooting Star. Bell then retreats, but not before flapping her wings to create a wind gust, which Kouji protects Dream from as they return to the real world. Nozomi then begins to cry after Kouji asks her if she's OK. Komachi, Kurumi, and Natsu arrive to witness their reunion. Back at the clock tower, Bell declares that she won't give up.
