The End Of The Future (ミライノオワリ Mirai no Owari)? is the 11th episode of Kibou no Chikara ~Otona Pretty Cure '23~.
Summary[]
Bell's description of a not-so-distant future where humans cause the destruction of the town is terribly shocking. Because Bell knows what the future holds, she produced the Shadows to stop what humans are doing and save the town.

Synopsis[]
The Cures are shocked to learn that the town will be destroyed in the future because of a series of natural disasters caused by global warming and climate change, which humans are helping speed up due to their actions. Bell thinks all humans are selfish, even the Cures, and wiping them out will save the town from its destruction.
As Bell summons more Shadows, a storm starts brewing in town and the power is shut off. Kenta and Yuuko take in a couple of children who are being pursued by the Shadows, while Kouji and Natsu try in vain to wake the unconscious victims up before Michiru and Kaoru arrive to help. The Cures fight the Shadows and while they manage to defeat some of them, even more of them show up from the portals Bell opened. Bell says they will continue to appear as long as selfish humans exist.
Michiru and Kaoru explain that the Shadows are embodiments of negativity found in human hearts and they say the victims' true feelings. Meanwhile, the Cures wonder what they should do now that they believe the town will be abandoned and Bell attacks them and attempts to convince them to join her side so they can destroy the human race together. Even the Kiryuu sisters believe the town deserves to be destroyed if humans are this selfish. However, Kouji reminds them that even though there are good and bad humans, there are still those who are willing to sacrifice themselves for the sake of others. Natsu adds that there is still hope left within the heartlessness.
Dream attempts to attack a Shadow when her Time Flower starts acting up again. After regaining her bearings, she tells Bell that she can't just save the town by turning everyone into Shadows. However, Bell asks Dream what she's doing to protect the town and Dream hesitates before Bell uses her powers to combine every Shadow in the area into one giant monster. Bell declares she will continue to ring the bell for this town before having the giant Shadow attack the Cures. Dream attempts to reason with her, but Bell won't listen, not wanting the town she'd been watching over for years to be deserted by humans. Just then, more Shadows merged with the giant one, making it grow even bigger until it manages to reach their town thanks to a crack in the sky.
The Cures land back in town as the giant Shadow continues to absorb more Shadows and grow, even evaporating whole buildings and trees. Some of the Cures attempt to attack it, but they have no effect. Bell watches the rampage and wonders why it has come to this. Just as the Shadow is about to attack Bell, Dream uses Shooting Star to destroy its tentacles and pushes Bell out of the way. Dream then explains that she would always hear the clock tower's bell and never thought about losing this town before thanking Bell for showing her the future so she can change it for the better.
Dream rejoins the other Cures, who are wondering how they'll be able to defeat the giant Shadow. Dream then says she believes they all became Pretty Cures again in the first place because they wanted to do something, and that they can defeat the Shadow by combining their powers. Dream also remembers that she has promises she must keep and that's why she can't give up now. The others pledge to do their best and do what they can to change themselves so the future can change as well. The Cures then go into battle again as the darkness starts to swallow everything. They combine their powers, declaring that they have all gone through successes and failures and even fail to understand certain things, but they can still all make an effort to change.
Just as the Cures have the chance to defeat the giant Shadow, Dream's Time Flower loses another petal, causing her to drop to her knees in pain. The others try to rush to help her, but the Shadow resumes its attacks. It is about the attack a defenseless dream when suddenly, two more Cures arrive and topple the Shadow over. The two are revealed to be Cure Black and Cure White.
