Japanese Confectionery Komachi (菓子小町 Kashi Komachi?) is a sweet shop of the Akimoto Family for generations and also a house for them. The sweets shop appears in Yes! Pretty Cure 5 and its sequel Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo!.
It is an old fashioned Japanese shop and has been running for a hundred years. Komachi and Madoka work there with their parents. In episode 20 of the sequel, Madoka explains that when Komachi was born, Madoka asked her parents to name the shop Komachi because her cheeks were so puffy that they looked like their Daifuku, and that's how they named the store, Komachi. They have a summer festival in the streets and put a stand there and sell new recipes/desserts every year.
