Magic Crystal (魔法の水晶)?, also known as Cathy (キャシー)?, is a sentient crystal ball from the Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure! series. She is owned by the headmaster of Magic School.

Appearance[]
Magic Crystal takes the appearance of a crystal ball which lies on top of two layers of purple cloth and is kept in place by gold handles. Within the ball, she is shown as a young woman wearing a black witch hat with shoulder length curly hair and black top.
When Kouchou uses up all his power, she looks much older.
Personality[]
Despite being a crystal ball, she can be rather moody and is good at understanding how Kouchou feels.
Relationships[]
- Kouchou: Her owner. She understands him pretty well. She is also one of the few people who is aware of Kouchou's past with Kushe.
- Kyoto: Magic Crystal is often annoyed by Kyoto's rigidness, even calling Kyoto out before.
History[]
Throughout Mahou Tsukai!, Magic Crystal serves as Kouchou's trusty assistant. She is also often being used by Kouchou to communicate with the girls.
She is briefly used by Liko to help Liko cover up her secret as a Magic School student from Katsuki Kana, while also pretending to be a normal crystal ball.MTPC34
Magic Crystal would eventually tell the girls and Mofurun about Kouchou and Kushe's past.MTPC45
She temporarily reveals her true age as an elderly in episodes 22 and 37, but in both instances returns being young after Kouchou drinks some herbal tea to restore his youth.
In ~MIRAI DAYS~, Magic Crystal predicts a new calamity appearing to Kouchou. She also gets to meet the mysterious little girl named Hisui, who she tells the girls to protect from Ire.MTPCMD02
Abilities[]
Magic Crystal can be used as a source of communication to people from the No Magic World. She is also able to predict premonitions about the future.
Trivia[]
- She is the first item in the franchise to have the ability to talk and have a human appearance within herself.
- When her owner, Kouchou, ages quickly due to expending his magical power on fighting Dokurokushe, Magic Crystal ages with him and shows an image of an old woman.
- Magic Crystal shares her voice actor with Bicine, a former villain from HUGtto! Pretty Cure.
