Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure!! ~MIRAI DAYS~ (魔法つかいプリキュア!!~MIRAI DAYS~ lit. Witchy Pretty Cure!! ~FUTURE DAYS~)? is a spin-off sequel anime series based on the Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure! team as adults.
The anime aired on ABC TV and TV Asahi's late night "ANiMAZiNG!!!" block on January 11th, 2025.

On March 14, 2023, Toei Animation announced two Pretty Cure anime series for adult audiences, the first which ended up becoming Kibou no Chikara ~Otona Pretty Cure '23~ and aired later that same year, and the other being the tentatively titled "Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure! 2," planned to air sometime in 2024 on the "ANiMAZiNG!!!" block at 2:00AM JST.[1]
No further news on the sequel was revealed until May 28, 2024, when the official Pretty Cure Twitter account revealed the actual title of the program, the logo, the premiere date, and the official website.[2]
On June 12th, 2024, Mirai's birthday, comments from the main cast were added to the website, alongside the new character designs. Moreover, a video of the cast reacting to the initial announcement back in March of 2023 was also posted on the official Pretty Cure YouTube channel. [3]
On August 29th, 2024, more visuals for the upcoming anime were released, along with information on the staff and opening theme. A special event meant to commemorate the broadcast was also announced for December 7th in the Tokyo area.[4] It was later revealed on October 28th that the event on December 7 would be a "miraculous screening" of the final episode of the first season, along with a preview of the sequel, featuring the main cast, and opening theme performer Kitagawa Rie.[5] Also that same day, the visual poster was revealed.
On November 12th, 2024, Liko's birthday, the first animated trailer was revealed, as well as information on the ending theme song, plot, and the voice credit for a new side character named Hisui.[6]
On December 7th, 2024, the main antagonist, Ire was announced, as well as Toyonaga Toshiyuki, who will be voicing him.[7]
Story[]
- "Mirai and her friends, who miraculously reunited after several years, begin to walk toward their respective futures in their respective worlds. Mirai is now a university student in the No Magic Realm. Liko returns to the Magic World and becomes a teacher at a magic school. Mofurun remains next to Mirai. And Ha-chan watches over the world from afar.
But then, a new disaster appears in the Magic World and the No Magic Realm world......?
Mirai and Liko meet again for the first time in months, triggered by signs of a new calamity. While fighting off a mysterious enemy, the two are confronted with their past and their future..." – Synopsis translation by Komatsu Mikikazu.[6]

- Asahina Mirai (朝日奈みらい )?
- A 20 year old living in the No Magic World. Mirai is brimming with curiosity, and isn't afraid to show interest in strange or interesting things. Mirai currently attends university, but also works as a "Magical Girl", secretly using magic to help people in need. When a new enemy appears, she transforms into Cure Miracle once again.
- Izayoi Liko (十六夜リコ )?
- A 19 year old living in the Magic World. Although she may be stubborn and dishonest at times, Liko is kind, friend-oriented, and a diligent hard worker. As a child she wasn't good at practical magic, but Liko is now a fine witch, and teaches at the magic school. When a new enemy appears, she transforms into Cure Magical once again.
- Hanami Kotoha (花海ことは )?
- A girl who was raised as a baby fairy born from inside the Linkle Smartbook. Kotoha has inherited the power of Mother RaPaPa, the mother of all life, and watches over everyone from afar.

- Mofurun (モフルン )?
- A stuffed animal toy given to Mirai by her grandmother when she was a child. Mofurun started moving and talking when Mirai and Liko became Pretty Cure. Mofurun helps Mirai with her Pretty Cure activities.

- A mysterious person who appears before Mirai and her friends. What is his purpose...?
- Time Beast Chronosto (刻の魔獣クロノウスト )?
- A beast that existed before life and chaos, whose main goal is to freeze space by eating away time so it can regain its complete form.

- A mysterious girl who appears before Mirai and Liko. She has beautiful jade green hair, but...?

- Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure!! ~MIRAI DAYS~ is the first season to:
- air after midnight at 2am, instead of in the morning at 8:30am.
- begin airing in January, instead of February.
- have the main characters transform and stay as adults in their Cure forms.
- not include eyecatches. Instead, the transition is replaced by showing the title's logo only.
- have the Cures' transformation sequence be cancelled.
- have every single episode scripted by the head writer alone without any secondary writers.
- The two exclamation marks in the logo are drawn to resemble the Roman numeral "Ⅱ", signifying this series as the second installment of Mahou Tsukai!.
- A collaboration with the SWEETS PARADISE chain of cafes was announced to take place on December 3rd to 13th in Tokyo, Osaka, Aichi, and Hyogo.[8]
- The official character profiles for Mirai and Liko state that they are 19 years olds respectively. According to the storyboard for the penultimate episode of Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure!, the girls are stated to be 19 years old. This would imply that Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure!! ~MIRAI DAYS~ takes place after Mirai's birthday on June 12 following the events of the first season's final episode, but before Liko's birthday on November 12.
