Maruyama Kouta (円山孝太)? is a minor character who appears in Healin' Good♥Pretty Cure. He is the son of Maruyama Kyousei.

Appearance[]
Kouta has messy brown hair with brown eyes. He wears a red long sleeved hoodie, brown shorts, yellow socks and green shoes.
Personality[]
Kouta is rather self righteous, thinking people must agree with him otherwise they can't be friends. However, he eventually changes his ways and learns to accept differing opinions. He is also very knowledgeable about animals.
Relationships[]
- Maruyama Kyousei: His father. He loves Kyousei, and is distraught after watching Kyousei being turned into a Gigabyogen. He is relieved when Kyousei is returned to normal.
- Shuichi: His friend. At first, both Kouta and Shuichi argue over their differing opinions, but they make up afterwards.
History[]
He appears in episode 30, where he visits the Sukoyaka Zoo with his father. He had an argument with Shuichi, about whether a tiger is stronger than a lion, where he spends most of the episode questioning why people can be friends despite having different interests. When a Megabyogen attacks, he bumps into Shuichi who is injured, and helps him evacuate. While evacuating, he apologizes to Shuichi. However, when at the exit, Shindoine approaches him and summons a Nanobyogen to infect him. But then his father appears to protect him, and he witnesses in absolute horror as his father becomes a Gigabyogen.
In episode 31, Kouta is traumatized over what he witnessed and hides in the zoo. But when Nodoka and the others talk to him, he cheers up and also mentions he knows that the Pretty Cure exist because his father had bought one of Masuko Michio's newspapers. At the end of the episode, he is cries tears of joy when he is reunited with his father.
