Matsumoto Rie (松本理恵)? is a director and storyboard artist. She started work on the Pretty Cure franchise as an assistant director for Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart and continued in that role up to Yes! Pretty Cure 5. Starting with Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo!, she was fully promoted to a main episode director and storyboard role, even storyboarding for that season's OP. She also worked on the movies, storyboarding for the last two films of the Pretty Cure All Stars DX trilogy, and directed the film for Heartcatch Pretty Cure!.
