Meitantei Pretty Cure! (名探偵プリキュア！ lit. Star Detective Pretty Cure!)? is the twenty-third installment in the Pretty Cure franchise.
Directed by Kawasaki Kouji and produced by Toei Animation, the series premiered on February 1st, 2026, succeeding Kimi to Idol Pretty Cure♪ in its initial time slot.
Production
Meitantei Pretty Cure! was first trademarked on November 27th, 2025[1]. On the same day, the teaser websites launched. The site officially opened on January 11th, 2026.

Synopsis
Akechi Anna is a 14-year-old second-year middle school student living in Makoto Mirai Town!
Guided by the fairy Pochitan who appeared on her birthday and a pendant in her room, she time-slips from 2027 to Makoto Mirai City in 1999...!
There she meets Kobayashi Mikuru, a 14-year-old girl who dreams of becoming a detective!
Amidst all this, an incident occurs!? Someone seems to be in trouble after having something precious stolen...! Is this the work of the Phantom Thieves...!? We can't just ignore someone in trouble...! Driven by that feeling, Anna and Mikuru transform into Star Detective Pretty Cure!!
Star Detective Pretty Cure protects everyone's smiles with their deductive powers!

Pretty Cure
- Akechi Anna (明智あんな)?: A second-year middle school girl who time-slipped from the year 2027 to 1999. Anna has a very honest and warm heart who naturally moves to help people in need. She notices others' feelings from their expressions and actions, and encourages them with both deeds and words. Rather than thinking things through at length, Anna tends to rely on gut instincts and intuition to reach answers. After arriving in Makoto Mirai City in 1999, Anna meets Mikuru where the two begin living together while running the Cure It Detective Agency. Her catchphrase is "Perfect Marks!" (はなまる！)?. Anna transforms into Cure Answer (キュアアンサー)?.
- Kobayashi Mikuru (小林みくる)?: A clumsy yet honest second year middle school student. Mikuru joined the Cure It Detective Agency in Makoto Mirai City with the goal of becoming a star detective. She has plenty of detective knowledge, and works incredibly hard. Mikuru thinks carefully before she acts, so she tends to be cautious before getting moving. She is obsessed with cute things. Mikuru transforms into Cure Mystique (キュアミスティック)?.
- Cure Eclair (キュアエクレール)?:
- Moria Luluka (森亜るるか)?: Despite being a "Pretty Cure", she is a mysterious girl who works for the Phantom Thieves. Luluka has a laid-back personality and doesn't conform to stereotypes. She doesn't say much, but has a passionate side to her that she hides within. Her favorite food is ice-cream. Luluka transforms into Cure Arcana Shadow (キュアアルカナ・シャドウ)?.
Mascots
- Jett-senpai (ジェット先輩)?: A self-proclaimed genius scientist who invented the Pre-Kit that supports the Star Detective Pretty Cure. He is embarrassed to be seen in his fairy form, so he often appears in human form. Despite this, Jett is a kind and caring boy. He is called "Jett-senpai" by the girls, and is adored by them. Jett's favorite things are candy and sweet things in general.
- Pochitan (ポチタン)?: Cure Answer and Cure Mystique's fairy partner. A "space-time fairy" with the ability to transcend time and space. Pochitan uses up all her power by time traveling and turns into a baby. If Pochitan collects the Makoto Jewels and returns to her original form, she may be able to return Anna to 2027. She loves fun things and has a childlike personality. Pochitan's favorite drink is milk.
- Shushutan (シュシュタン)?: Cure Eclair's fairy partner.
- Mashutan (マシュタン)?: Cure Arcana Shadow's fairy partner. The "fortune-telling fairy" who can accurately predict anything through her fortune-telling. Mashutan has a strong bond with Cure Arcana Shadow. She loves fashion and has an overly helpful personality. Mashutan's favorite food is marshmallows.
