I kinda want it to last just as long as Pretty Cure so badly! Symphogear has such a fun, unique concept that it saddens me that there aren't that many fans (even though, I'm succeeding in introducing people to it XD Only one failure so far XD)
Well, someone pick up the phone, because I totally called it on the Alca-Noise returning!
However, I wasn't expecting the Illuminati to have them.
Also, so many new attacks! Flash of the Rider: Cyclone, Three Indomitable Blades, Megadeth Infinity...so awesome! And there was also Tsubasa using a Heaven's Wrath like a sword, and Hibiki going all Giga Drill Breaker...*head explodes from awesomeness*
Haha! Ok! *picks up the phone* JMCDAVID CALLED THE ALCA-NOISE RETURNING *slams phone down* Done!
...*picks phone up again* HOWEVER, JMCDAVID FAILED TO SEE THE ILLUMINATI COMING! *slams phone down again* There.
The attacks were cool but...those songs. I have Hibiki's two new songs on repeat. I cannot stop listening to them!!!! Also, new trio songs <3 I need them on my phone. NOW. I love Hibiki's random "LET'S FIGHT" in her trio song with Tsubasa and Chris and I need to hear it without the explosions and stuff XD And more Elfnein, more everyone!!! MORE CHRIS PLOT...actual plot not that plot...I'm not a guy and not into that stuff XD
Also, I have a feeling that, since their opponents include regular humans in their ranks, Hibiki in particular is going to be holding back on her true power. So, I would kind of like to see a scene where the enemy is more than strong enough to take her full power, so she gives a speech about how she's been forced to hold back, and how this guy can take her full power, before delivering one heck of a beating to them.
Something kind of like this.
Admit it, a good World of Cardboard Speech, if done properly, can be have a very powerful effect.
The Illuminati always works in the shadows XD Chris being triggered by the Illuminati makes so much sense XD
OMG, I can see Hanasaku Yuuki being used to save Miku XD And I can see maybe Tsubasa singing her B-side song (forgot its name) as an insert concert song as c'mon...we need a concert scene in Symphogear!
You know, seeing Hibiki doing that...make a lot of sense for Hanasaku Yuuki actually. Screw saving Miku, unleash your power like the blossoming flower of courage you are, Hibiki!
That make it three times for season 1, then not twice XD But, you could say, she technically got saved four times, as in episode 11, she gets saved by Ogawa-san when Noise entered the school building (I'm curently watching season one all over again XD)
Second season, I'm pretty sure Miku falls from the tower, and Hibiki saves her?
I'd like to see a situation where Miku gets to do the saving for once. I mean, they've been saying for a while that you don't need a Symphogear to be able to fight, but so far they haven't actually shown Miku actually doing that, aside from maybe at the end of the second season.
I'd like to see her actually be the one to stop a villain's plans for a change, using nothing but her wits and determination.
The opening of Symphogear AXZ is giving me a message that Miku is gonna need saving...again XD
The chance of that happening is like...30% imo XD I want it to happen but I have a feeling it won't ;w;
Also, episode 2 is out! Not subbed tho. I watched it raw and woah, Maria's song is not AS good as Hibiki's but still good. It's hard to really know if I like it more than Hibiki due to the explosions and stuff going on XD
That actually explains how Hibiki beat it. She dealt so much damage that it was dead just from that one punch! XD
As for One Punch Man, it's essentailly a parody of the superhero genre. Saitama, the main character, got the power to beat literally any enemy with just one punch through daily strength training. But this came at the cost of two things: His hair (training was so tough that it fell out) and his ability to feel excited (because for him, the ability to beat any enemy with just one punch makes fights become way too boring XD).
So, that thing the Illuminati was picking up, Tiki, is an Autoscorer. And apparently, she charts the movements of the planets.
It looked for a moment that Hibiki was going to try keeping what happened with Stefan a secret for Miku, but she actually decided to come out and tell her about it instead. I'm just glad we're not getting a repeat of what happened in GX.
Dang, that attempt by the Illuminati to take out the plane that Tsubasa and Maria were on...quite an aerial battle that Tsubasa fought.
So, some sort of special Alca-Noise that can create a subspace pocket that boosts the defense of other Alca-Noise to the point where the Symphogears can't take them out normally...I was waiting for them to bring in the Ignite Module.
Ok, a lot of people are saying Tiki looks like Carol. I don't see it. She looks like Hibiki to me!!!
I kinda expected Hibiki to keep on speaking about her thoughts about Chris to Miku. I never saw Chris coming to tell her "she's fine" at all XD I kinda feel sorry for Miku at the moment tho. It kinda feels like she being shafted at the moment.
That was a good plan! Good on Tsubasa for transforming (but your song isn't my favourite ;w;) and omg, Maria is so badass, even when she isn't transformed!!!
I can't believe the Ignite Module is baaack! That must mean we're gonna get other Ignited versions of the other songs. Even tho...I kinda prefer new songs for the blu-ray, not the Ignited versions. Like, I wanna see a duet sung by Hibiki and Kirika (as they were seen fighting against the enemy together in the OP), Maria and Chris and another duet sung by Tsubasa and Shirabe.
Also, towards the end of episode 2 of AXZ, when the time that Maria, Shirabe, and Kirika had for their final dose of LiNKER was running out, I noticed an aura form around Maria's body for a few seconds.
Calling it right now. That's foreshadowing to her eventually reaching a point where she doesn't need to depend on LiNKER to be able to fransform.
Also, the Bavarian Illuminati are trying to go to war against God...no wonder they fought against Finé 400 years ago. Besides their use of heretical technology, they also were trying to pick a fight with the one she loved!
Just did as well and holy mother of Symphogear, I didn't see the main trio getting effed up so early in the season!
I also I made a prediction that Maria, Kirika and Shirabe will not be able to get more Linker until episode 6, as Kirika's character song album isn't coming out next week, but the week after, - August 9. So, if we're following the pattern of the song revealed in that week's episode will come out during that week; then Kirika's character song will be heard for the first time in episode 6, and Shirabe's in episode 7 ;w; But I think episode 5 is gonna give us something new, like maybe a duet between two of the six girls that'll appear in one of the blu-rays?
We get a flashback to when Saint-Germain was a child. And it looks like it was an extremely tough life.
The Gear wielders are on a quest to get some deciphering done on the data they got at Val Verde..
Cagliostro, even without her Faust Robe, is more than capable of holding her own against Chris, and would have gone up against her, Tsubasa, and Hibiki if she hadn't been called back.
Some foreshadowing that Maria, Kirika, and Shirabe might be getting something good further down the road, using tomatoes as an analogy.
We finally learn what sort of man Genjuro's boss is, and he honestly seems like a jerk.
Hibiki, Tsubasa, and Chris bust out the Ignite Module on a large group of Alca-Noise, but when the alchemists join the battle, they are able to forcibly deactivate the Ignite Module, and leave them unable to fight.
Adam shows up, and uses chrysopoeia to create about 10 megatons of energy that he throws at the Gear wielders. That's the same as the Tunguska event.
Maria, Kirika, and Shirabe are forced to transform, even without any LiNKER, in order to get the others out of there in time. And they were using the Ignite Module as well, which no doubt put even more strain on their bodies.
And in the aftermath, Adam complains about how he only got a couple tiny pieces of gold out of that big display of alchemy was a couple tiny pieces of gold.
So, seems that Saint-Germain, at least, might actually be an Anti-Villain, as she doesn't want to actually hurt people, but to free them. What's more, while Tiki clearly adores Adam, his fellow alchemists actually seem to fear him. That's what I picked up from them, at least
Anyhow, looks like Elfnein might need to give the Ignite Module an upgrade to counter these new Faust Robes. Who knows, it might even give it a new transformation sequence, instead of just recycling the one they used in GX.
By the way, next episode should be available by tomorrow. Although it's kind of strange that Crunchyroll isn't doing subs for this season.
Anyhow, calling it right now. Team Neopolitan, as Cagliostro called them, will be hospitalized due to transforming without LiNKER along with having used the Ignite Module. I mean, we saw what happens in GX when they transform without LiNKER, and the Ignite Module would only put even more stress on their bodies. XD
Well, looks like Team Neopolitan (I like that nickname XD) actually came through all that with no major injuries. And Elfnein was especially surprised, cause she was expecting Superb Song levels of recoil to have hit them.
Looks like those three tomatoes are finally becoming ripe! XD
Saw the episode. It was a slow episode, not much happened sadly, but I still enjoyed it! However, I am a little worried about Kirika and Shirabe.
Hibiki, Tsubasa, Chris and Maria - they've/they're getting the development they need but Kirika and Shirabe just feel like they're there to fill in empty space. Supporting roles for Maria - Maria's shadow. They haven't developed at all since season 2 to really notice them or worry about them. Don't get me wrong, I still worry about them, but not to an extent of how I would worry and feel sorry for the other four girls. Kirika and Shirabe both feel bland and very 2D at the moment.
I hope the production team is saving the duo's development for season 5 because as much as I love Chris and Maria (they seem to be getting the most attention this season), I really want to see Kirika and Shirabe grow and take the spotlight for their own. Become their own persons instead of being Maria's shadow.
I love these two - Kirika is just an adorable desu deesu cinnamon roll and Shirabe is quiet girl who just seems to have another layer to her that she hasn't shown yet and is also a cinnamon roll. I want to see these two get the spotlight they deserve! And when they hopefully get it, I know I'll probably be smiling and "jiii"ing and "deesu"ing my way to bed and Universary and what not!
I liked it! It was pretty good. I, and it is probably an unpopular opinion, didn't enjoy the scenes where Maria is inside her mind. Like, i just wanted the action, ok XD I get Symphogear needs its slow moments, but I feel like Maria has been taking a lot of screentime lately, and I just er...want more Kirika and Shirabe love XD Oh and Chris, 'cause Chris is awesome and best girl XD
Well, Kirika, Shirabe, and Chris will most likely get more love in episode 7. I hope they sub it soon!
Anyhow, it was nice getting to see a glimpse of how Professor Nastassja actually did care about the people in the FiS, in her own way. And of course, it just had to be Dr. Ver who guided Maria and Elfnein to the area of the brain that the LiNKER needed to affect.
And it's a good thing the LiNKER was completed when it was, because without being able to use the Ignite Module, Hibiki, Tsubasa, and Chris were being pushed to their limit! You could tell Hibiki was getting desperate when she was about to use Ignite in spite of knowing that it would give the Illuminati alchemists a chance to easily take her down!
Seeing Kirika, Shirabe, and Maria come to the rescue was pretty awesome, you have to admit! And just when Saint-Germain tried to shoot Kirika and Shirabe at the end of the battle, Hibiki, thanks to having had a chance to catch her second wind, caught the bullet WITH HER BARE HAND! XD
One thing I expect to see happen: Chris is going to call out the Illuminati for trying to do the same thing that Finé had been trying to do way back in the first season. Also, I bet you anything that Adam has a different goal, and is using the other alchemists to suit his own agenda.
Finished watching it an hour ago. Just had to let what happened sink in...what was that ending??? OMG, Adam...he is a horrible human being! A perfect villain but omg...I ah...I'm scared for Saint Germain and those other two (or one if that girl Shirabe and Kirika defeated is even alive).
Yeah, they're doing everything that they can possibly do to drive home the fact that Adam literally has no morals at all, as long as he can achieve his goals. What's even worse is that the other alchemists are loyal to Saint-Germain, and unlike with most villains we see, that loyalty actually runs both ways!
Still, I'm glad to see so many call backs to the previous seasons of the show. Like the substance that came from Hibiki's body back in the first and second seasons, from when she was fused with Kanade's Gungnir, now actually being the key to making the Ignite Module Philosopher's Stone-proof. Also, Fool's Stone...most hilarious name ever!
I'm worried for those alchemists....like they appear to have a really close bond and if Adam is making Saint-Germain choose to sacrifice herself or sacrifice her fellow alchemists...then...tears will be shed!!!
I love that scene tbh! I really agreed with Kirika there. I need an simple explanation for the explanation XD But gosh, "Fool's Stone"...what the heck, such a brilliant name! This is why Chris is best girl! She comes up with the best names ever!
Oh, let's not forget the flashback of Miku not giving an eff about anyone until she saw Hibiki save the balloon for a child despite the fact that Hibiki is getting bullied by people. That was a sweet flashback for Miku. Seeing how Hibiki changed the way she may have acted.
Yeah, those alchemists quite clearly have a close bond.
And yeah, Chris is best girl.
Yeah, that flashback spoke volumes about what sort of person Hibiki really is. Even if the whole world is turning against her, she'll still do whatever she can to help people, regardless of the danger to herself.
Also, I laughed when Genjuro said he doubted Hibiki's strongest punch would do anything to defeat the Illuminati's ultimate goal, considering that her punches have been pretty amazing so far. That dragon in the second episode? One punch. When Saint-Germain fired A FREAKING ELECTRIC DRAGON from her gun in episode 7? One punch. Hibiki quite clearly hasn't been skipping arm day, if her punches are that powerful! Either that, or the whole series is a game of rock-paper-scissors and the enemies all keep using scissors against her! XD
Well, got a sneak peek at the fight scene of episode 8...and Cagliostro was like "WTF OMG HAX!" when she saw Chris and Maria using the Ignite Module, and her attacks were unable to negate the Ignite Module's power thanks to the Fool's Stone. XD And before you ask, yes, they did use their duet of Change the Future.
Why can't they give us episode 9 this week too so we can be caught up???? ;w;
Ah yeah, I only watched winterbells1's videos that have the new songs, so I saw that Tsubasa and Shirabe got a duet together! It sounds much better than Chris and Maria's duet to be honest (sorry Chris ;w;).
Yeah. I'm gald for a different kinda match for the duet tho. It's different and interesting. Imagine if Kirika and Chris had been paired up. The rock vibes would have been strong as heck lol
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I'm getting worried now...what's taking the subbers so looong!??? checks 9anime and Kissanime Do I have permission to scream, cry and then dig a hole for myself to sleep in until we get the episodes? ;w;
EPISODE 8 IS OUT. I REPEAT EPISODE 8 IS OUT. I just finished watching it, and holy cow, Cagiotro is goooone! And Maria and Chris' song is growing on me. Gosh damn, that episode was good. And Genjuro is just...unstoppable lol
Any chance you could give me a link to a site with the Commie subtitles? Because the site I usually go to only has the Anon version, and I honestly don't think I can get used to that after having watched the rest of the season with Commie subs.
Eh...I think I'll wait and see if someone uploads episode 8 with Commie Subs.
Besides, I think I know the reason for the delay. If I understand correctly, they had to deal with one of the worst hurricanes ever to hit the US, Hurricane Harvey. So I say we cut them some slack for taking so long on episode 8.
I'm going to have faith that I'll find episode 8 done by Commie sooner or later.
Also, hurricanes are really bad this year. Texas just got wrecked by Harvey, and now Florida is getting wrecked by the largest Atlantic hurricane ever, Hurricane Irma. Just to give you some perspective of how big Irma is, it's as big as France!
Ah, climate change. I read about that when I wake up. My phone's news feed is literally...IRMA IRMA, IRMA, THE BACHELOR AUSTRALIA/AMERICA, THE BACHELORETTE AUSTRALIA, NORTH KOREA, IRMA, IRMA, IRMA, NORTH KOREA, NORTH KOREA, MAN DIED, IRMA, THE BACHELOR, THE BACHELORETTE. Seriously...blame my phone if I know a little too much about Irma and North Korea and The Bachelor(ette) XD
WOAH, HURRICANES XD I wonder when Australia is gonna get hit by cyclones. Either we're just gonna get...category 1/2 cyclones or we might get hit by...something as bad as Irma. casually wonders
Part of the reason is because we got to see Chris Hemsworth, Thor's actor, at his goofiest, showing off a comical side he never got to display in the previous movies he's been in. Ironically, this actually led to Thor at his smartest, as this time he was more than ready for the moment when his brother Loki inevitably tried to betray him.
And towards the end of the movie, there was a funny and also heartwarming exchange between Thor and the spirit of his father Odin. When Thor was despairing over Mjolnir having been destroyed (Hela had destroyed it early on in the movie), Odin asked him, "What, are you Thor, God of Hammers?" before explaining that all along, Mjolnir had just been meant to allow Thor to control his powers. The abilities that made him the God of Thunder were inside him, not some hammer. And then, when Thor said he wasn't as strong as Odin was, Odin's response was a simple, "No. You're stronger." Cue Thor bringing some serious thunder down on Hela, the Goddess of Death and main antagonist of the movie!
Also Ragnarok had some excellent chemistry between its actors, mainly due to the fact that most of the script was improvised, as per director Taika Waititi's style. This meant that instead of Loki completely overshadowing Thor like he did in the previous films, they were able to play off of each other so that both of them could shine.
All in all, it was an amazing film, and totally blew the other two films out of the water. It wasn't even a contest, I'd say. xD
The first Thor film might be worth seeing, so you can learn who the characters are. As for the second, it's up to you. If you do decide to skip it, all you need to know is that Loki appears to sacrifice his life while helping Thor, but it's revealed that he faked his death, banished Odin to Earth, and has been masquerading as Odin (one of his powers is the ability to disguise himself as other people). That's all you need to know if you want to skip the second one and go straight to Ragnarok.
Ah okay~ Time to beg my mother to download the three Thor films. Despite you saying I don't have to watch the second film, I kinda like Loki despite not knowing much about him. He seems cool in Ragnarok so might as well watch the second film for him ehehehe.
Well, if you want to see what takes place between the first two Thor films and want some more Loki action, I would strongly recommend seeing The Avengers. It's arguably the film that established Loki as the best villain in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe...even if he's technically not always a villain.
Also, you'll probably only be able to see Ragnarok in theaters, as it just came out earlier this month. Just FYI.
I've already seen all Avengers movies, all of Captain America's movies, Spider Man Homecoming and Doctor Strange. I swear I've seen another Marvel movie but I just can't put my finger on it. I remember seeing Loki in The Avengers, which is how I came to like him. I might have to do a rewatch before Infinity War comes out as I'm a little rusty on the first Avengers movie (despite remembering the ending like I saw it yesterday)
My mom can find new films and download them way before they come out in cinemas. Power of moms XD
I can't help but notice you didn't mention Iron Man. That's kind of a glaring omission, considering that the success of his first movie was what made it possible for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to even exist.
And while his second and third movies might not be considered as good as the first one, they'd still merit a watch. The second one deals with the aftermath of the first one, specifically with a plot point about the Arc Reactor in Tony Stark's chest, while the third one has a major plot point in the form of Tony suffering PTSD after the way he nearly died in The Avengers (because in case you forgot, he almost died taking that nuclear missile through that wormhole). They're not the main plot of either movie by any means, but they do serve to give Tony some pretty major character development.
That's because...I haven't seen any Iron Man movies. I knew of him, but his movies seem kinda meh. The trailers didn't really interest me. I like Tony Stark in The Avengers but I dunno, his movies don't seem that appealing to me. (And Yes, I remembered that almost death scene)
Well, you might want to at least check out the first movie. I mean, they make it extremely clear that the Iron Man armor didn't just go to something built in a cave from scraps to a crime-busting machine overnight, but actually took a lot of attempts before Tony got a fully functional suit, and even then, there were some kinks that still needed to be worked out. That's arguably a nice tough of realism, with some comedy sprinkled here and there.
And another movie you might like is Guardians of the Galaxy. I mean, their movies are literally the reason they went from a team that almost no one had heard of in comic books to one of the most popular ragtag bands of misfits in Marvel Comics. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun watching their misadventures.
Also, did you know that Robert Downey Jr almost was passed over for the role of Tony Stark? He had gone through a bout where he was recovering from being addicted to drugs back around the turn of the century, and Disney and Marvel weren't sure if it was a good idea to pick someone with his past for the role, but he was eventually given a shot, on the grounds that his past actually gave him some knowledge about what made Tony Stark tick (in the comics, Tony Stark had a serious drinking problem), and, well...do I even need to explain how well their gamble paid off, casting Downey Jr as Tony Stark?
Greetings my friend, You brought up some very interesting points in my Pretty Cure Dream Stars Tie-in ideas, Kids these days do know know of the Previous generation, But I fear that with future Installments, They might forget about them, Truth be told, I think Kids these days should know about the Past Prety Cure seasons before they try to understand the new seasons, the Past seasons had some good writing... Well some of them.
The reason I had to undo your trivia on Yui is because I felt as if the part about desensitization sounded too much like an opinion. Not saying that your theory isn't valid, it's just that others could interpret Yui's ability to resist Dys Dark in different ways.
It's actually a theory, based on what I know about desensitization. But so far, the people I have mentioned it to actually agree that it makes the most sense in explaining how she was able to eventually fight off the effects of the Cage of Despair.
Yeah, and theories don't go on wikia pages. Wikia pages are meant to be as accurate as possible and provide official information. Your theory is well just a theory. It's not official, and while I'm not saying it's wrong since it is very interesting, a blog post is more of its place than a page. Also, theories on pages can confuse others for if it's official and true or not, which is why it shouldn't be on there.
well to me bad categories are about the same as vandalizing stuff. I'm sorry for being absent for too long but if I'd of been there when you created that I would have stopped you just this way. Most of the changes don't even play roles until the end and we can just write about it on the character pages.
Still doesn't change my decision to leave this wiki forever. First, however, I'm going to get rid of everything that I ever did on this wiki, to make it so I might as well have never existed in the first place.
