Narcistoru (ナルシストルー?) is a general from the Bundoru Gang, and a villain from Delicious Party♡Pretty Cure.
Bio[]
Appearance[]
Narcistoru has wavy pale green hair that passes his shoulder length, which is tied into a side ponytail by a black bow. He has two fangs in his mouth, and his eyes are purple. He wears a black coat with a white trim, purple cuffs, collar and undertone, and six white bone-like buttons. He wears black pants held up by a black belt, and has silver spikes on his shoulders. His boots are black, and he wears a white dress shirt with a frilling collar and a grey tie underneath his coat. He also wears a black mask, and the Bundoru Gang's logo appears on his black coat.
He had shorter hair when he was younger, and wore a plain white long-sleeved shirt and dim blue pants.
Personality[]
Narcistoru is a self-proclaimed genius who can be rather snarky. He also likes to observe his enemies from afar before attacking them. True to his name, he is an extremely arrogant narcissist who looks down on others, and is willing to impose violence to make his ends meet. He also has a strong hatred towards people who enjoy food, hence why he likes stealing their memories when he captures Recipepes. However, his arrogance could sometimes cause him to let his guard down and leave him more open to the Cures' attacks. He also hates meals and fun times.
After experiencing imprisonment, Narcistoru is willing to change, despite being in denial.
Relationships[]
- Gentlu: He treats Gentlu as a useless person. He is also aware that Gentlu is merely being used by Godatz. He also seems to enjoy seeing her anguished and having conflicting thoughts. Even after she is freed and reverted back to Amane, he still calls her Gentlu, possibly to get her to waver. However, after escaping from prison, he realizes how kind she is, where he finally makes amends with her.
- Secretoru: His senior. He and Secretoru often banter with each other. After multiple lectures from Secretoru, Narcistoru starts to develop animosity towards her. As of the finale, Narcistoru gets along with Secretoru, and is willing to work together with her.
- Spiritoru: His creation. He doesn't care about the robot, and does not hesitate to shut him down when he finds Spiritoru disposable.
Etymology[]
Narcistoru's name, ナルシストルー, likely comes from the words, "narcissist" (ナルシスト?) and "to steal" (取る?).

Past[]
In Narcistoru's past, he was unable to enjoy his food unlike the other citizens, making him an outcast. Depressed and aimless, he came across Godatz and soon joined the Bundoru Gang. DPPC28
Gentlu[]
Narcistoru appears with a new item that is still in its trial phase.DPPC09 Narcistoru mockingly suggests that Gentlu should transfer her power into the container so she can summon stronger Ubauzo. He continues watching Gentlu's conscience falter, but despite finding it amusing, he plans on making sure she stays a part of the Bundoru Gang for a little while longer. DPPC10 Narcistoru mocks Gentlu for caring for the Recipepes, and tells her that she can make the Recipepes suffer less if she knows how to control her power but the Ubauzo won't be powerful enough for her to fulfill her mission. After witnessing Gentlu becoming Amane again, he takes her back to the hideout to re-brainwash her. DPPC11
Taking Action Against The Cures[]
After Amane is freed from brainwashing, Narcistoru admits that she is merely just a pawn for the Bundoru Gang. He later takes action by stealing memories through capturing two Recipepes and summoning a Motto Ubauzo with his new container. He even attacks Cure Precious, before Black Pepper fires an attack at him, giving the Cures a chance to stop Narcistoru's plan.DPPC13
After mocking Secretoru about her first love, Narcistoru once again engages in another fight with his Motto Ubauzo after stealing Honma Tomoe's memories. He even targets both Rosemary and Precious, until Black Pepper intervenes and deflects his attack. Afterwards, Narcistoru comments that the introduction of Black Pepper has made things more amusing for his own liking before leaving.DPPC14
Upon realizing the Parfait Recipepe is at Fruit Parlor KASAI, Narcistoru decides to capture it, which steals the memories of the customers, except for Amane. During the fight, he takes Amane as a hostage via his Motto Ubauzo, and laughs in delight when he sees Amane suffer in the Ubauzo's grasp. He becomes speechless and shocked when Amane finally gets rescued and gains the resolve to become Cure Finale. However, he does comment how things will get interesting as he retreats. DPPC18
Narcistoru starts to gradually get sick of Secretoru always scolding him for his lack of progress. He also acts pretentiously towards the Cures while trying to make up for his failures, but decides to drop the act and retreats after he fails once again.DPPC20
Sometime later, when Black Pepper tries to help the Cures, Narcistoru has the Motto Ubauzo catch his projectiles and fire them back at the Cures. He senses Black Pepper's doubts and proceeds to mock him. After reluctantly following Secretoru's order to catch the Crepe Recipepe and summoning another Motto Ubauzo, Narcistoru sees Black Pepper and mocks him again, only for Black Pepper to deflect the attacks back at him. Narcistoru however feels like he had some fun despite the failure.DPPC22
The Road To His Arrest[]
Narcistoru is later scolded by Secretoru for not using his full power. When targeting the Pizza Recipepe, Narcistoru notices Pam-Pam and decides to take as his hostage, finding her struggles against him amusing. He further holds Pam-Pam hostage by saying that he will hurt her if Finale directly attacks. After losing his grip on both Pam-Pam and Kome-Kome, he has a close combat with Finale, who is assisted by Black Pepper. He arrogantly taunts Finale, only to get too carried away and ends up getting his hair tie untied by Finale's Finale Bouquet. He decides that it's really time for him to get serious as he retreats, and soon hatches another evil scheme after receiving a purplish black Delicious Stone from Secretoru.DPPC24 Afterwards, Narcistoru invents the robot thief Spiritoru and places the purple Delicious Stone into him, sending the robot on behalf of him in hopes of reducing his own failures.DPPC25 However, he soon changes his mind and decides to deactivate Spiritoru in front of the Cures to create an even stronger variant of the Ubauzo.DPPC27
Soon, Narcistoru starts a fight with his Gossori Ubauzo, overpowering the Cures, before temporarily releasing the Sushi Recipepe so he can capture it later in hopes of taunting the Cures. He, after being warned by Secretoru that he will be kicked out for another failure, then recaptures the Sushi Recipepe and summons the same Gossori Ubauzo, which again overpowers the Cures. He also attacks them with his own projectiles, while trying to fight against Black Pepper and Rosemary while remembering his painful past. He also violently tosses Kome-Kome after she tackles his arm. With his Gossori Ubauzo purified, Narcistoru realizes that he is done for but still refuses to surrender, until Rosemary arrests him.DPPC28
After his arrest, he is taken to CooKingdom with Rosemary and the Cures. He is not happy when Rosemary tells him to reflect on his actions and that he has returned to his old home. He is escorted by some guards to be imprisoned, and refuses to eat anything as he can't bring himself to eat any food. DPPC29
Escaping Prison And Making Amends With Amane[]
Upon realizing that Secretoru has sent out robots to attack him, Narcistoru instead captures the robots and uses one of them to escape his prison cell. He disguises himself to infiltrate the school. He initially refuses to help Yuan, Mitsuki and Moe fix the broken electric appliance, but eventually helps them. After fixing the device, he is given a candied apple, where he understands what deliciousness is for the first time.
Soon, he is discovered by Secretoru, so he attempts to escape, only to be captured again. Just as Secretoru is about to hurt him with her Gossori Ubauzo, Finale arrives to rescue him. In the end, despite his denial, he lets the Cures send him back to prison. Finale gives him a candied apple to encourage him to complete his sentence. He smiles as he remembers how kind Amane was towards him. DPPC37 Narcistoru later shuts down Spiritoru to free the people of Cookingdom during the final battle,DPPC44 and continues serving his prison sentence by doing community services.DPPC45
Abilities[]
- Ubauzo Creation: Like the other members of Bundoru Gang, he is able to summon a Motto Ubauzo or a Gossori Ubauzo using the stolen Recipepes and his Bundoru Gang container. Whenever he steals Recipepes, the person eating the respective food it represents suddenly forgets their memories about said food.
- Scientific and technological invention: He is specialized in inventing technological tools, such as his own version of the Bundoru Box that includes a Recipepe tracker, and also robots like Spiritoru.
- Projectile Shooting: He is able to generate his own projectiles with dark energies.
Trivia[]
- Narcistoru shares his voice actor with Kise Yuuichi from Smile Pretty Cure!.
- Narcistoru is the first villain in the franchise to have a prison record.
- Episode 33 reveals that he is a very picky eater, and is unable to eat any hot food. This made it hard for him to enjoy food, which gave him the motivation to join the Bundoru Gang.
- Despite that, he is said to be a very good cook.DPPC45
- In the Oops! All PreCure Animage interview, Narcistoru is meant to represent those who carried their picky eating habits throughout their childhood into adulthood.
- In the same interview, when his voice actor Sakaguchi Shūhei got the role of Narcistoru, the staff told him to sound a little scary for younger viewers. He was rather confident about voicing Narcistoru, but wasn't sure he was the right person to voice such a beautiful male character.
- Sakaguchi Shūhei also added that he tried to make Narcistoru speak more prettily at first, but was told by the staff to voice Narcistoru as someone who is self-absorbed and believes he is the star of a show to highlight Narcistoru's immaturity.
- In the same interview, when his voice actor Sakaguchi Shūhei got the role of Narcistoru, the staff told him to sound a little scary for younger viewers. He was rather confident about voicing Narcistoru, but wasn't sure he was the right person to voice such a beautiful male character.
- As revealed in the Delicious Party Kanshasai, Narcistoru and Secretoru are currently living in CooKingdom as permanent residents.
- Narcistoru is also the one responsible for accidentally making the replicated Gentlu upset about the Bundoru Gang being disbanded.
