Bio[]
Appearance[]
In her cat form, Yuki has white fur and a swirly strand of pale pink hair coming out of each of her ears. Her ears are salmon with paler heart insides. Her droopy eyes are navy and she wears a blue ribbon at the left of her collar with a yellow snowflake attached to it. After gaining the power of a Pretty Cure, Yuki's snowflake is replaced with a heart-shaped, white pendant that has a blue ribbon and pink heart emblem.
As a kitten, Yuki was smaller and stained a pale brown with dirt around her fur. She lacked her collar before meeting Mayu.
As a human, Yuki has long pale blonde hair tied back by a blue four-pointed ribbon that is donned with a gold hexagonal pin and sky blue snowflake pattern. Her hair is straight-cut and her bangs are blunt. She wears a white-collared-and-cuffed arctic blue dress with triangular rims and yellow buttons going down the front of her light blue placket, light blue trim and sash, pale pink inside, white tights rolled up to the knee with ribbons at the sides, and sky blue heeled slip-ons. She also wears a brown string necklace with three blue beads. There's also her carry bag resting at the side where her Shiny Cats Pact resides, which is white with a large ribbon and a yellow heart in its center - the ribbon having pink in the upper right, purple in the upper left, blue in the lower right, and teal in the lower left to indicate her and her teammate’s main colors along with a white strap to keep the carry bag secured. She also has white pants rolled up to the knees with matching-colored insides and ribbons at the sides of said knees, and dark blue slip-ons.
In the winter, she wears a baby blue wide neck sweater with powder blue cuffs and matching lining at the top. Underneath is an untucked light cerulean button-up shirt with a darker collar held by a blue small crown-shaped brooch and pale pink buttons. Her skirt is blue with triangular rims and wide pleats and her boots are dull tea with forest green toes and soles and lining on top. Over this is sometimes a sky blue zipped up jacket with white puffy trimming, and a navy zipline.
In the movie, Yuki wears a white top tucked into a pair of sky blue shorts with a white mid-length jacket that has slits at the ends of the forearm-length sleeves. She also wears a blue scarf that is knotted in the front along with cerulean flats and white socks. Her carry bag is retained.
As Cure Nyammy, her hair grows very long, is worn loose, and turns silvery white with heart-shaped highlights, and her eyes become brighter in color with pale orange flecks at the bottom and pale yellow pupils. She has straight-cut forelocks framing her face. Her lip gloss is light salmon. On her head is a cerulean headband with a matching crown with beaded trim on the right side of her head with a white and blue-striped bow below it and another bigger pink bow at the back resembling the cat ears from her cat form. She wears a cream dress with a wide scalloped skirt and pink straps on the shoulders. On the top of the bodice is a blue and pale yellow-striped band with pale blue scalloped frills lining it with pale cyan trim, with a teal and pink-striped bow resembling her partner Cure Lillian's colors in the center, that has a blue heart-shaped brooch in the middle and gold trim. The dress also has two cerulean lines running down the bottom on the front. The dress splits to reveal a downward insert and lighter bottom. The bottom part of the skirt has a long blue and pale yellow-striped ribbon around it with two large bows on each side and a pale pink scalloped frill underneath the white ones. She wears her Shiny Cats Pact's carry bag on her left waist. She also wears white arm warmers with light blue bands and ruffles at each end. Said ends are slanted. Her boots are white with cerulean scalloped pumps, spool heels, and light blue and white-striped bands and ruffly trim at the top with a matching bow on each side. Her choker is deep blue and ties in the back, and her earrings are blue and crown-shaped. Below are bright blue shorts and at the back of the dress are crisscrosses.
In her Diamond Ribbon Style, her hair becomes longer and has two wavy locks on each side and her crown turns into a pale pink round egg-like hat with a light purple jagged base, a blue heart with lavender trim on top, two wings with a sky blue bow on the left side, and one wing on the right. Her headband turns sky blue with a multicolored horn-like accessory on the right. Her dress turns white and slightly slimmer with a light blue bodice that closes at the neck and is held with a blue choker that has jagged white ruffles at the top and bottom. On her chest is a looped magenta, purple, blue, and teal ribbon representing her teammates' colors with a light blue diamond-shaped brooch lined in gold and a crown on top. White heart-shaped fabric covers the front part of the bodice. Her sleeves are loose and consist of blue and pale yellow-striped ribbons with white jagged ruffles on the top and bottom that go around the shoulders. Around her waist is a blue and pale yellow-striped sash with a matching bow at the back and her carry bag retained. The top layer of her skirt is white and jagged with a V-shaped bottom and blue and pale yellow-striped ribbon lining the bottom and long bows with teal hearts in the middle on each side resembling Cure Lillian's colors and accenting the foot heart, with both having one tail longer than the other. The skirt has three more scalloped layers each with a darker shade of blue. A longer opened train appears over it with three more ruffled layers of different shades of blue and a fourth layer in the back. Her wristbands are white with sky blue scalloped ends and a blue bow in the middle. Her boots are long and white with two small blue buttons behind the foot heart, blue bows in the back, and sky blue soles.
Personality[]
Yuki is typically gentle when she's in a good mood, but can also be aloof and judgmental. She is very intelligent, and prefers to take things at her own pace. She also enjoys napping. She can control her feline instincts much better than Komugi, but there are times when they slip, like when it comes to her fear of water.
Yuki can be grumpy at her worst and doesn't bother to rebuke anyone who questions her authority. However, she always makes it clear that she loves Mayu, and will do anything to keep her owner safe. Sometimes, she is so overprotective of Mayu that she would easily drive herself to the brink of humiliating Mayu publicly, but she rarely expresses her concern for her well-being wherever Mayu goes. However, she learns to open herself up after understanding that Mayu is capable of protecting her.
Due to her feline instincts, she is more aggressive than the others when fighting a Garugaru. This prevents them from being purified properly. She prefers to work alone and initially rejects the other Pretty Cures' offers to help, as she warns them of the consequences she will inflict on them if their ongoing conflict with the Garugaru doesn't stop due to them being too inexperienced to protect life. Fortunately, she starts easing up on the Garugarus after understanding their loneliness when being controlled. As time goes on, she begins to form a closer bond with the other Pretty Cure.
Relationships[]
- Nekoyashiki Mayu: Her owner. Yuki cares deeply for Mayu and understands her social awkwardness very well. However, she can become irritated whenever Mayu gets too close to her. Her top priority is to protect Mayu from harm, and she doesn't want Mayu to be involved with Pretty Cure. She is so overprotective of Mayu that she would easily drive herself to the brink of humiliating Mayu publicly, but rarely expresses her concern for her well-being wherever Mayu goes. Yuki considers Mayu's kindness as something precious, and vows to protect her if the same kindness were to bring harm to Mayu. Their relationship becomes strained once Yuki becomes too overprotective of Mayu, but they reconcile after Mayu forgives her.
- Nekoyashiki Sumire: Yuki gets along well with Sumire, as she doesn't hesitate when showing her secret to Sumire, who happily accepts it.WPC23
- Nekoyashiki Takayuki: Yuki and Takayuki have a few interactions, but still like each other as a family. She doesn't like him wanting to take photos of her human form when he sees it for the first time. She, however, finds it funny when he makes Mayu upset by taking her photo.WPC42
- Inukai Komugi: Yuki meets Komugi not long after she has moved to Animal Town. She doesn't like how pushy Komugi can be, but gradually learns to trust the dog, who lends her a hand in friendship. She was made aware of Komugi being able to transform between dog and human. She later accepts Komugi as her friend after gradually coming to trust her since they became more closer at school.
- Inukai Iroha: Similar to how she viewed Komugi, Yuki was initially disdainful towards Iroha. She also believed Iroha is putting Mayu in danger, as she threatened to come after her and Komugi if this happens again. However, she begins to trust Iroha after understanding her. Later, she gradually comes to trust her since they became more closer at school.
Etymology[]
Nekoyashiki (猫屋敷)?: Neko (猫)? means "cat"[1], which refers to Yuki's original form being a cat. Yashiki (屋敷)? means "mansion"[2].
Yuki (ユキ)?: Without kanji, this name could have multiple meanings. However, one likely meaning for the name is Yuki (雪)?, which means "snow".[3]. This is related to how Mayu met Yuki on a snowy day.WPC04
Nyammy (ニャミー)?: The name "Nyammy" is a pun on the sound a cat makes, Nya (にゃー lit. Meow)?[4]. "-ammy" may be derived from the name Ammy or the French word amie, which means "beloved" or "friend".[5]As revealed in the Wonderful Pretty Cure! Official Complete Book, Narita Yoshimi struggled to determine Nyammy's name due to the lack of meaningful words in English or Japanese consisting of the onomatopoeias "nya", "nyan", and "nyao". She had been brainstorming for a name but to no avail, until Takahashi Maki helped decide the name "Nyammy"' based on the words "nya" and "mmy" at the end.
History[]
Past[]
Yuki used to be a stray cat living in a snowy place. At first, she started off all alone in the snowy fields WPC46, later stumbling across a mountain village, coming to seek shelter beneath an abandoned house there. It wasn't until when she first met Mayu, where she was wary of her. However, the girl's kindness gradually made her open up, as she was able to be warm in the cold weather thanks to Mayu lending her beanie to her, showing a sense of trust with each other. As a result of further trust, she decided to stay with Mayu after learning that Mayu was going to leave the village. She would then be given the charm around her neck at Mayu's house, coming to show gradual affection to her newfound owner. WPC10
However, it wasn't until Mayu had a personal incident about her former friendship with Yuma. When Mayu was attending her old middle school, Yuki discovered that a deeply upset Mayu had lost her former friend Yuma. She comforted her owner and vowed to protect Mayu with everything she had, thus she became very defensive for her years later after this incident.WPC21
New To Animal Town[]
Yuki and Mayu move to Animal Town, as Yuki is gazing out the window of her new house, when Mayu approaches her and talks about hoping to make lots of friends. Yuki has doubts about Mayu being able to make friends, and is proven right when Mayu hides from Iroha. After Yuki is introduced to Iroha and her dog, Komugi, Yuki hits Mayu for running away from a social interaction.WPC01
Sometime later, Yuki meets Iroha and Komugi again. However, she finds Komugi to be annoying, and pushes her away. She is also told by Komugi that Komugi is able to transform between being a dog and human. She is happy when Mayu gets along with Iroha.WPC04 She later meets Komugi again, who keeps bothering her no matter how much she warns the dog to leave. To her surprise, she finds out about Komugi's ability to transform into a human afterwards.WPC08
Being A Human And Becoming Cure Nyammy[]
On that night where the Kirarin Bear is a Garugaru, Yuki senses their presence, and rushes out of the house to threaten the Garugaru. Suddenly, the charm that Mayu gave to Yuki reacts and becomes the Shiny Cats Pact, granting Yuki the ability to become a human and Cure Nyammy.WPC18
Yuki hides behind the Mirror Stone, and transforms into a human to warn Mayu not to go to Miharashi Mountain. It is later revealed that she, as Cure Nyammy, had scratched the Kirarin Bear's gem.WPC11
Yuki later becomes aware that Mayu has been worried about her often going missing, but she doesn't want to expose her secret to her owner yet. When she realizes Mayu is going to be attacked by a Garugaru, Nyammy protects Mayu with her barrier, before leaving the scene. Nyammy then helps Wonderful and Friendy by stunning the Garugaru with her scratches and agility, even though they beg her not to kick the Garugaru. Nyammy understands Wonderful and Friendy's good intentions, but disagrees with them, until she witnesses them purifying the owl. She then introduces herself as Cure Nyammy before leaving.WPC12 Later, after she saves Mayu from a hedgehog Garugaru, Nyammy is asked by Friendy and Wonderful to become their friend. However, she refuses the offer, instead telling them to stay out of her way as she takes her leave again.WPC13
Revealing Her Secret[]
Yuki follows Mayu as she goes on a Baby Animal Tour. When Mayu rescues a duckling, Yuki is shocked. Yuki quickly stops the Garugaru from hurting Mayu by hissing at it. Yuki then scolds Mayu for getting involved, and then transforms into her human form. Yuki tells Mayu not to apologize as she's fine as she is. Yuki vows to protect Mayu if her kindness will get her hurt, and then transforms into Cure Nyammy. Nyammy leads the Garugaru away from Mayu, and while she fights the Garugaru, Nyammy admits to herself that meeting Mayu made her realize she had been cold and lonely. Nyammy then blasts the Garugaru through the trees while hoping Mayu doesn't regret anything because they were able to meet each other. The others then catch up to her, and Nyammy looks at Mayu while thinking about their meeting that allowed them to become friends. Nyammy orders Wonderful and Friendy to rescue the Garugaru and then proceeds to leave the scene with Mayu. Back at the picnic site, Yuki refuses to be a Pretty Cure with Iroha and Komugi as she believes they're only putting Mayu in danger and tells both of them to stop interacting with Mayu.WPC17
Relationship With Mayu[]
Yuki later explains to Mayu how she became Cure Nyammy, and that she just wants to protect Mayu. Yuki then refuses to agree with Mayu when Mayu admits that she believes the Garugaru should be helped. However, her overprotectiveness causes Mayu to snap at her, after she continues telling Mayu to stop being friends with Iroha and Komugi.WPC18
After her argument with Mayu, Yuki believes that Mayu will no longer love her, even though she will continue to protect Mayu. However, when Nyammy is shrunken by the Hamster Garugaru, Mayu comes to her aid. Nyammy tries dissuading Mayu from protecting her out of concern, until she realizes that Mayu genuinely wants her to worry less. After Lillian purifies the Garugaru, Yuki feels too regretful to face Mayu, only for Mayu to forgive her. Yuki then cries as she and Mayu reconcile, and de-transforms back into her cat form.WPC19
Gaining The Amity Ribbon Tambourine[]
Yuki initially refuses to visit Niko Garden with Mayu, but once there, she tells Mey Mey that she won't help rescue the Niko Animals, and that she doesn't care about them. While trying to find a place to be alone, Yuki meets the Kirarin Fawn, who confides in her that they felt alone when they were turned into a Garugaru. This encounter softens Yuki's heart. When Nyammy hesitates to fight against the Fox Garugaru, remembering her own loneliness, Lillian protects Nyammy, and their hearts resonate. This transforms their Shiny Cats Pacts into the Amity Ribbon Tambourine, which they use to purify the Garugaru with Amity Lumiere. After this, Yuki agrees to help the team on the condition that Mey Mey enrolls her in Second Wangan Middle School.WPC20
Going To School And Forming Nyanderful Pretty Cure[]
Yuki later transfers to Second Wangan Middle School, which draws attention from her classmates due to her beauty and talents. However, she is still unwilling to join Iroha and Komugi, and refuses to go anywhere without Mayu. After seeing that Iroha and Komugi are different from how Yuma treated Mayu, Yuki decides to explain why she was reluctant to leave Mayu alone or make new friends by herself. Eventually, Yuki accepts Mayu's idea of being a duo as Nyanderful Pretty Cure, and becomes closer with Iroha and Komugi after she and Lillian purified the Kirarin Panda.WPC21

Transformation[]
- Pretty Cure! My Evolution!: The transformation starts with Yuki catching her Shiny Cats Pact and showing it off. The pact opens and Yuki smiles at her reflection before blue and pale yellow-striped ribbons appear. Yuki then says the transformation phrase while jumping on floating paws as the ribbons surround her. The ceiling opens up to reveal a blue dimension with snowflakes and a full moon, which Yuki is now seen floating in front of. A projection of Yuki as a cat leaps towards human Yuki, turning into the dial on her pact. She then puts blush on her fingers before applying it to her cheeks, saying "Sparkles on my cheeks"! This causes her hair to grow longer and turn silvery white while ribbons wrap around her legs, forming her boots. She then turns the dial on the pact revealing some lip gloss, which she again applies with her finger, saying "Cute lips"! Then, more ribbons wrap around her, forming her dress, arm warmers, and choker. Then Nyammy's chest bow appears, followed by her sleeves, earrings, and headband. Then several blue pawprints appear, forming the ribbons at the bottom of her dress. The Shiny Cats Pact lands inside the carry bag. Nyammy then introduces herself before striking a pose and telling the audience she will pay attention to them.
