Eventually, she forgives him after he returns her Mirage Pen and apologizes, acknowledging that he has changed for the better.

Meeting Sora And Ellee-chan[]

However, Mashiro forms a closer bond with Sora after learning about Sora's childhood and her reason for wanting to become a hero. After Sky defeats Kabaton's Ranborg, Mashiro decides to buy Sora a new notebook to replace Sora's old one.HSPC02

Comforting Ellee-chan[]

When both Mashiro and Sora notice Ellee-chan is homesick and misses her parents, Yoyo tells both girls that they can contact Sky Land by finding a Sky Jewel to connect with the Mirror Pad. At the same time, Mashiro is surprised that her own grandmother, like Sora, is also from Sky Land. Despite Mashiro's own confusion, she and Sora venture out to the hill behind Mashiro's home to find the Sky Jewel, where she bonds with Sora over her homemade Cloud Bread.

After Sky saves Mashiro and Ellee-chan from Kabaton's Ranborg, the three of them return home and contact Sky Land's king and queen for the first time using the Sky Jewel's powers. Mashiro then asks if Sora feels lonely due to being separated from her family, only for Sora to tell her that she's okay as long as she has Mashiro as her friend.HSPC03

Becoming Cure Prism[]

Mashiro is reunited with Ageha, who also quickly befriends Sora and Ellee-chan. Mashiro, along with Sora and Ellee-chan, then waits for Ageha outside of the Welfare and Nursery Care Vocational School building, when they spot a disguised Kabaton. Mashiro sees through Kabaton's trick, but is not quick enough to stop Sora from falling for the trap.

Mashiro and Ellee-chan are escorted by Ageha to the roof of the school building to escape from one of the Ranborgs. However, Mashiro remains concerned for Sora's safety. Mashiro receives her Mirage Pen from Ellee-chan, driven by her desire to rescue Sora. Despite this, she hesitates when Kabaton mocks her for being a side character. With Ageha's encouragement to be confident in herself, Mashiro recalls how Sora acknowledged her, which gives her the courage to take both her Mirage Pen and Sky Tone. She then transforms into Cure Prism for the first time. As Cure Prism, she helps Sky defeat one of the Ranborgs. Afterwards, Sora expresses her gratitude to Mashiro for saving her.HSPC04

Convincing Sora To Accept Her As Cure Prism[]

Despite now being a Pretty Cure, Mashiro is told by Sora to stop being one because of her nightmares. Mashiro is grateful that Sora is worried about her, but believes that they should work together to protect Ellee-chan. So when Kabaton arrives with a Ranborg, Mashiro goes against Sora's wishes and goes after her as Prism. While hiding from the Ranborg, Prism learns that Sky cherishes her as a friend and doesn't want her to get hurt. Prism tries to think of ways to help Sky not see her as a friend so she doesn't have to worry as much, but realizes she prefers they think of each other as friends. Prism's feelings about wanting to help Sky because they're friends get through to her, which gives them a new attack, Updraft Shining to purify the Ranborg.HSPC05

Going To School With Sora[]

Mashrio soon gets to go to school with Sora. Both girls are happy to spend time with each other and their classmates, although Mashiro is initially worried about Sora, who decides to act differently after standing out too much. To encourage Sora to be more self-accepting, Mashiro takes her to the school's roof to look at the cherry blossom tree, and admits that she used to be shyer before opening up to others. In the end, Mashiro is glad that Sora has managed to befriend some of their classmates.HSPC07

Cooking And Kindness[]

Mashiro happily writes a letter to her parents about becoming friends with Tsubasa, but thinks she doesn't have any clear goals like Tsubasa and Sora. When both Mashiro learns that Tsubasa wants to have yakitai for his welcome party, she and her two friends do their best to make taiyaki instead. After defeating Kabaton's Ranborg, Tsubasa thanks Mashiro for being kind enough to make his dream of eating with his loved ones happen. After Tsubasa's welcome party, Mashiro comes to appreciate her own kindness more.HSPC10

Visiting Sky Land[]

As Ellee-chan has learned how to walk, Mashiro goes out with Sora and Tsubasa to buy Ellee-chan a pair of shoes. There, Mashiro meets an older lady, but notices she looks upset after giving them the shoes Ellee-chan wants. After Yoyo tells the group that Sora, Tsubasa and Ellee-chan might have to return to Sky Land via the tunnel, Mashiro realizes she won't see Sora as often. This helps Mashiro understand how the lady, whose family is moving overseas, is feeling. Mashiro decides to transform with Sora, so they can return the shoes to the lady, so she can give the shoes to her granddaughter. After tearfully watching the lady send her family off, and buying a pair of replacement shoes for Ellee-chan, Mashiro, along with Sora, Tsubasa and Ellee-chan, enters the tunnel after she bids Ageha and Yoyo goodbye.HSPC13

Mashiro arrives in Sky Land, and supports Sora as she joins the Azure Guards.HSPC14 Sometime later, Mashiro meets Tsubasa's parents before informing Tsubasa and Ellee-chan that she'll be leaving for Sorashido City soon. Just as Mashiro tries to comfort the pair, a giant Ranborg appears. Mashiro meets up with Sora, and upon Captain Shalala's request, Mashiro transforms and performs Updraft Shining with Sky. Unfortunately, the attack isn't strong enough, and Prism falls to her knees as she starts to feel weak. But after Captain Shalala sacrifices herself, Prism, alongside Sky, gets a burst of energy, and is able to defeat the Ranborg. Prism collapses shortly afterwards. After the battle, Mashiro is informed by Sora that the four of them will be returning to Sorashido City so they can ask Yoyo to find a way to heal the King and Queen.HSPC15

The Relay Race[]

When Mashiro and Sora's class is preparing for the sports festival, Mashiro is chosen by Sora to be part of the relay race. Mashiro is hesitant, but caves in after seeing Sora's enthusiasm. Wanting to make her friends proud, Mashiro follows Sora and Tsubasa's intensive training before the day of the festival.

On the day of the festival, Mashiro tries her best to run, but she trips, before she musters up the courage to run again so she can pass the baton to Sora. Despite Sora managing to win the race for their class, Mashiro is disappointed in herself for her mistake, and leaves to cry. However, upon hearing Sora's explanation on how she just wanted to run with her as a friend, Mashiro calms down. So when Battamonda summons a Ranborg, Prism trusts Sky by giving Sky a projectile to hit the Ranborg. After this experience, Mashiro's confidence grows a little more.HSPC17

First Step To Her Dream[]

With everyone busy, Mashiro reads many picture books to Ellee-chan. When visiting Pretty Holic, Mashiro figures out what is missing from the display that Ageha's co-worker, Natsumi is working on. Due to taking notice of Mashiro's artistic sense, Natsumi recommends that Mashiro enters the "Everyone's Picture Book" contest. Mashiro is reluctant to enter, but eventually does after some encouragement. With the materials needed, Mashiro attempts to start writing her story in the park, but has a writer's block. Mashiro admits to Sora that unlike her friends, she doesn't have something she wants to do, which has been worrying her. Mashiro then takes a break to kindly tell Ellee-chan to share her toys, but is unable to convince the stubborn child. Mashiro wonders what she should have done to get through to Ellee-chan, but after seeing a mother read a picture book to her daughter, Mashiro is struck with inspiration, and runs home. Mashiro then spends all afternoon in her room coming up with her story, and later admits to Sora that writing a picture book is so much fun.

While on her way to submit her entry, Mashiro and her friends are stopped by Battamonda and his Ranborg. Prism decides it's okay if she can't submit her story, but her friends disagree and tell her to leave when there's an opening. Prism listens to her friends, and leaves the battle to submit it. Sometime later, Mashiro and her friends are admiring the other entries, and Mashiro is praised for writing a fabulous story despite not winning. Mashiro admits that she wants to keep drawing, and making books that will make Ellee-chan and other children happy.HSPC20

Helping Sora[]

After hearing about the Captain Shalala sightings, Mashiro requests the Azure Guards to keep investigating the situation. Mashiro then walks in on Sora writing Captain Shalala's memo into her notebook. Mashiro learns about Sora's worries about not being able to move forward as a hero if something happened to Captain Shalala, but Mashiro is certain Sora will become a hero. After Sora runs after an illusion of Captain Shalala, Prism appears at the battlefield to help Sky. Just as she's about to attack the Ranborg some more, she's screamed at by Sky that the Ranborg is actually Captain Shalala. Prism is shocked, and hugs Sky after Sky begs Prism to help her. Prism then learns that their attacks will kill Captain Shalala since she's living off Undergu Energy. After Battamonda retreats, Mashiro witnesses Sora lose her Pretty Cure powers.HSPC22

After Sora becomes powerless, Mashiro is worried about her friend, and is shocked to see the farewell message Sora had left behind. She then writes a letter, which she asks Yoyo to deliver to Sora in Sky Land. After hearing about the attacks in the city, Prism, along with Wing and Butterfly, go out to fight against the Shalalaborg. Despite struggling against it, Prism is relieved when Cure Sky returns to help them. After Shalala is purified, Prism tells Battamonda she won't forgive him easily. Mashiro then welcomes Sora back to the team as she gives the notebook back to her friend.HSPC23

Trusting Ellee-chan[]

After Ellee-chan joins the team as Cure Majesty, Mashiro becomes very concerned for Ellee-chan's safety.HSPC32When she and the other Cures head to Sky Land to investigate a newly emerged ruin, Mashiro is hesitant about allowing Ellee-chan to journey into the ruin. Due to her fear of Ellee-chan getting hurt, it originally causes the Majestic Chroniclon to not respond to the Cures. However, after Prism's teammates remind Prism that they all share the same feelings, Prism finally acknowledges that Majesty has grown stronger, which finally helps her and the team resonate with the Chroniclon and perform Majestic Halation. Prism then smiles at Majesty telling her how much she loves her after the fight with Minoton is over.HSPC33

Understanding Her Dream's Direction[]

Mashiro begins writing another book for her picture book series, and starts considering becoming a picture book author in the future. However, during the library reading session she participates in, Mashiro becomes discouraged when two young boys find her latest book boring and run off to play instead, even though the other children like the story. She then comes across Monda, who is Battamonda in disguise, telling her that an aspiring artist like her can't pursue her dream if she can't take any criticism. Even though Battamonda, who she doesn't recognize, intends to crush her dream, Mashiro interprets it as good advice. Therefore, she becomes more confident in her own dream's direction, and also thanks Battamonda for helping her, and even cheers him on without knowing he was her enemy.HSPC34

As the next picture book competition is coming up, Mashiro decides to draw another picture book, but lacks inspiration. After being dragged to the park by her friends, she comes across Monda again when she begins to relax. She then listens to his sorrows of not being able to succeed, and empathizes with him. Realizing Monda is being attacked by Skearhead, Mashiro confronts Skearhead to protect him, as she believes he has his own worth. In the end, Mashiro decides that her latest book is about having a theme that can help those who are struggling in life.HSPC41

Mashiro later approaches Monda to ask him to read her upcoming picture book, only for him to rip the pages out of her sketchbook, and reveal himself to be Battamonda. Mashiro's Mirage Pen is then stolen by Battamonda, despite her insistence on saving him, which causes her to cry. However, Mashiro can't be mad at him, as she can empathize with Battamonda's emotional turmoil. After witnessing Battamonda ingest Undergu Energy, Mashiro still wants to save him. Her kindness is able to touch Battamonda's heart, who gives her back her Mirage Pen, and she saves him after she and the other Cures purify him with Majestic Halation. Mashiro is then happy that Battamonda has decided to change his ways, and is able to write a happy ending for her story, earning her the grand prize. HSPC43

Epilogue[]

After the final battle, Mashiro tries to hold back her sadness regarding bidding Sora, Tsubasa and Ellee-chan farewell. However, after being hugged by Ellee-chan, Mashiro bursts into tears when saying goodbye to Sora.

The next day, Mashiro starts writing a story about her adventure with her friends, when suddenly the tunnel from Sky Land opens up, revealing that her three friends have come to visit her. Although surprised at first, Mashiro is happy to have them back upon knowing that they can visit her at any time.HSPC50
