Pea-chan (ピーちゃん)? is a fairy from the Fairy Village and an antagonist from the Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure! Manga.

Appearance[]
Pea-chan wears a short-sleeved costume and skirt with a strong fantasy color, with two upside-down heart-shaped decorations on her head and chest, exposing her arms and legs. She also has butterfly-like wings on her back. She has a flower anklet on her right leg.
Personality[]
On the surface, Pea-chan behaves as an innocent girl with a very cheerful personality that treats everyone with kindness. But in fact she hides her vicious nature and she despises other people's friendships and familial bonds, and goes as far as tearing them apart with trickery and deception. However, she starts having a change of heart after Asahina Mirai proves her own love for her familial friends.

- Asahina Mirai: Upon noticing Mirai's happiness with her team, Pea-chan gets jealous and decides to pretend to be a baby so she can tear them apart, by crushing Mirai's spirits through feeding her teammates fruits with a bewitching effect and then further discouraging and abandoning her. However, after Mirai proves her own love for her team and teaches Pea-chan to change her perspectives, Pea-chan begins to have a newfound appreciation for her.
Etymology[]
Pea might be derived from the word "peach", which is the fruit she usually hides in as a baby to trick unsuspecting families.
History[]
Having experienced the unfortunate birth of being unwanted and forced to live a miserable life as an orphan without parents, Pea-chan hates beings who are blessed with the love and bonds of their families and friends. Whenever she finds a family she considers as strange, she transforms into a baby as a way to approach them, before trying to tear the family apart in every possible way. For this reason, Kouchou calls her an "annoying fairy", but at the same time, she is also sympathized with the aforementioned circumstances.
She approaches Mirai and her team, who are visiting the Fairy Village of the Magic World in the form of a baby inside a peach, and the girls and Mofurun name her. Within a short period, Pea-chan grows into a teen, but the team is oblivious to her deception. Soon enough, she is able to trick Liko, Ha-chan and Mofurun to eat fruits which have a bewitching effect, and the fruits' effects succeed in transforming Liko into a cold person, Ha-chan into a lustful one, and Mofurun into a feral bear. She then further breaks Mirai's heart by lying to her that her team won't return to her and abandons Mirai.
Upon seeing that Mirai has returned with the rainbow clover that can cure the bewitching effects of the fruits, Pea-chan goads Mirai, who is bitten by Mofurun, to give up from rescuing the others. However, Mirai refuses to back down, and proves to Pea-chan on how much she loves her family of friends by kissing all three of them with the cure. Then, Kouchou arrives and lectures her to reflect on her misdeeds, although she still considers that Mirai and her team are a weird family she can't understand. Mirai then transforms into Cure Miracle with her team, and she inspires Pea-chan to believe in the arrival of a miraculous magical and happy encounter if she chooses to believe in that, while also adjusting Pea-chan's head accessories upwards. Miracle's words begin to help Pea-chan understand that she can choose to change her perspectives, and she and Kouchou watch the girls leave as she gets to geuinely smile for the first time in her life.
Abilities[]
Although she has no combat abilities, she is a cunning trickster who can skilfully transform into a baby to deceive others, and can grow rapidly from her baby form. In addition, she is infamous for taking advantage of the opponents' mind with her psychological and mental attacks, such as very discouraging insults, to drag her opponents' spirits down.
