Ponta & Pokota are tanukis with light brown fur, darker brown fur on their faces, hands, and feet, as well as a lighter brown patch on their stomachs and around their mouths. Ponta has a heavyset body, while Pokota is slimmer and appears a bit taller than Ponta. They both wear blue overalls with one strap and a yellow button. Ponta has one big yellow pocket, while Pokota has two smaller yellow pockets.
Personality[]
Ponta & Pokota are both friendly tanukis who love to move their bodies. They are curious about the outside world, and keep competing against stronger players. Ponta & Pokota both get easily carried away.

- Mujina: Their boss. They are loyal to him and follow him without questioning anything.
Etymology[]
Ponta & Pokota's names are likely derived from the drumming noises "pon poko pon" made by tanuki yokais like the bake-danuki when they sometimes hit their bellies.[1]
History[]
Ponta & Pokota first appear as a monster that escapes from the "Doki Doki♡TanuKingdom" game world to Animal Town. With their cuteness, they manage to lure and suck Iroha and Mayu into the game in order to complete Mujina's orders.
Throughout the movie, Ponta & Pokota act as hosts for different challenges within the games to prevent Komugi and Yuki from reuniting with their owners, but both pets succeed in completing each of the challenges they have imposed. After watching Mujina go on a rampage and become a monster in the human world, Ponta & Pokata along with the game's other tanukis, decide to help the Cures with their Friend Rings so they can save the brothers' boss.
