Bio[]
Appearance[]
Regina has long blonde hair that reaches down to her ankles and is decorated with a red bow on the top of her head. She wears a dark grey dress decorated with red details and a black jacket. When her evil outfit debuts after she is brainwashed by King Jikochuu, her bow, and details on her outfit are purple. Regina's eyes are normally blue, but when she is brainwashed or controlled by the red Royal Crystal, her eyes turn red. Her skin and hair even become pale once she is brainwashed.
As Cure Joker, she retains her blonde hair but has expanded and also has additional flairs that resemble Cure Ace's red hair. Her right eye is red, while her left eye is blue. She wears a purple ribbon on her head's left side, a pink ribbon on her right, and a red and gold crown with fuchsia frills. Her long-sleeved dress is a mix of black and red accents, white frills and collar, a red rhombus gem donned on her neck, a dark pink ribbon with a light pink heart on her chest, dark pink and purple back ribbons, dark pink rims, and adorned with yellow accents, a blue spade, and a green clover. She also has long black and red socks, respectively, the same as the accents of her indigo shoes. Her shoes also have a pink and purple ribbon respectively.
Personality[]
Regina is selfish, vain, and spoiled. She treats everyone like peasants and hates anyone who is more beautiful than her. She threatens the Selfish Trio if they don't do what she wants. She is also playful and tries to make Mana play with her.
At the end of the season, Regina is no longer evil and has become a friendlier person, despite still being a bit clingy. She is still somewhat bratty, selfish, and childish, but truly cherishes her family and friends.
Relationships[]
- Aida Mana: Following the previous battle from episode 15, she takes an interest in Mana and befriends her. Throughout the series, she is manipulative and possessive towards Mana, refusing to let her hang out with her other friends. She becomes a better friend to Mana after her reformation.
- Madoka Aguri: Both are sisters and rivals. Aguri is destined to fight Regina since they represent Princess Marie Ange's light and darkness. By the end of the season, they have made amends with each other. Although her childishness often bothers Aguri, both Regina and Aguri care a lot about each other.
- King Jikochuu/Trump King: Regina's father. He continually brainwashes her as he refuses to let Regina join the Cures. Regina loves him deeply, and in return the King does care about her.
Etymology[]
If the R and the I are removed from Regina, and remaining letters were read from the end, it would be read as "Ange". Regina also means queen in Latin, which foreshadows that she is part of Marie Ange's soul.
Cure Joker is known to be an eccentric genius who has the wits to successfully fool their foes and even their allies with their whimsical actions especially in card games.
History[]
The History Of Regina And Aguri[]
Many years ago, Princess Marie Ange fell ill to a terminal disease. Only the Eternal Golden Crown, one of the Three Sacred Treasures, had the knowledge to save her. Desperate to save his daughter, the king of the Trump Kingdom stole the crown but was consumed by the evil and transformed into the King Jikochuu. Unable to fight her father, Princess Marie Ange broke her heart into two parts. The part that loves her father, her darkness, and the part that wants to protect her people, her light. Ange's body was then transformed into an egg which will later be born as Ai. The darkness of Ange's heart went back to the King Jikochuu and was reborn as Regina while the light was reborn as Madoka Aguri and was sent to earth.

She later temporarily becomes Cure Joker along with Aguri, when the Selfish villains Lust, Goma and Kurata start causing troubles and stirring conflicts between the Trump Republic and United Nations. She and Aguri then later meet Princess Marie Ange's spirit, who tells Regina that she has all the qualities of a Cure despite not being a full-time one. In the end, Regina has gained a new sense of self-acceptance, after she along with Aguri and the other Cures succeed in defeating the villains.
Abilities[]
Her powers are shown in episode 15. She can turn people into Jikochuu by finding people's hidden selfishness rather than acting when the thoughts come to the surface, as the other villains do. She is able to color a person's Psyche black when she summons a Jikochuu.
To summon a Jikochuu, Regina first tilts her head, jumps and twirls a little, and then jumps again before summoning dark energy. She then shoots it out of her finger towards a heart to paint it black, thus summoning a Jikochuu.
In episode 39, Regina achieves the powers of the Miracle Dragon Glaive, after it responds to the love she has toward her father. The spear is fueled by Regina's love. It can (at full power) propel massive jolts of energy that take the form of a dragon.
Although not a power used in combat, Regina (like Madoka Aguri) can grow older for a short period of time due to the amount of love she receives and emits.
