Royale Queen (ロイヤルクイーン Roiyaru Kuīn?) (Queen Euphoria in Glitter Force) is the former ruler of Märchenland. She appears in Smile Pretty Cure!.

History[]

When Märchenland was attacked by Pierrot and the Bad End Kingdom, she used the Cure Decors that make up her power, but they were stolen by him. She then used the remainder of her power to seal Pierrot away, but that caused her to turn into a statue. She sent five magical lights to Earth, before sending Candy to search for the Pretty Cures that have the five magical lights in order to recover the Cure Decors and restore her power.

The Decor Décor are gathered after the five Cures defeat the commanders and save Candy, but nothing happens. Suddenly Pierrot is revived and attacks the Cures with a blast of dark energy. Candy's cries soon reaches to Royale Queen's spirit and she decides to give the power that was supposed to revive her to the awaken Pegasus for the Cures to gain a new power to overcome Pierrot. While gaining the power, the Cures hear her voice in a telepathic way. In episode 24, the Cures return to Märchenland to go to the palace and meet Royale Queen, and they are surprised by her large size. Unfortunately, she is still in stone despite the Cures' efforts.

Then the Cures hear the Queen's voice and visit her palace again. When they look at the statue, she successfully communicates with them via telepathy, glad that the Cures are present. When the Cures ask if she is awake, the Queen says she isn't, but she has a slight telepathic power. She explains that she would awake when all 16 Decors are gathered, but now she won't as they used the power of all the Cure Decor for Pegasus to give them a new power, which are the Princess Forms. The Cures are disappointed, but the Queen reassures them since there are 16 more Decors, though she tells them that Pierrot is still alive and the Bad End Kingdom will revive him. The Cures are scared to continue fighting the Bad End Kingdom, but Miyuki remains confident and the Queen thanks and encourages them to carry on with their duty before they leave Märchenland.

The Cures finally gather all of the Decors and a clock appears, leaving the Cures wondering what it is. When Pop operated it, Royale Queen appears in a small hologram on the clock. She thanks them for recovering the Decors and tells them that in order to draw out the power of the Royal Clock, it needs the Cures and Candy's strength. She senses a presence of Bad End Kingdom and leaves after everyone notices the sky being different. When Candy passes out in the battle, the Queen appears again in her dream and tells her how she had shown kindness to her friends and did not give up her happiness and smile. She asks her daughter to treasure these precious thoughts and smiles before Candy woke up.

In episode 46, she comes out of the Royal Clock before the last blow from Joker and protects Pop and Candy, who is actually the Miracle Jewel. It shocks Joker to realize she has been revived, until he notices that she is only a mirage using her last power to protect the Cures and Candy, shocking the Cures and Pop. Royale Queen then tells Joker firmly that she will not let him touch Candy, because she is her daughter and heiress as the new queen of Märchenland. The legend about the Miracle Jewel of "making wishes" is just a cover-up of the real story about the Miracle Jewel, which is an egg giving birth of a new Queen.

Trivia[]

  • Specifically, she is the origin of the power to all Märchenland fairies, with the fairies regarding her as their mother.
  • The Princess Form outfits seem to be loosely based on Royale Queen's appearance.
  • Her English voice actress, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, also does the voice of Brooha (Majorina) and Ms. Mason (Sasaki Namie) in Glitter Force.
