Secretoru

Secretoru (セクレトルー)^? is a general from the Bundoru Gang, and a former villain from Delicious Party♡Pretty Cure.

Bio[]

Appearance[]

Secretoru has green hair styled in a bun, and her eyes are orange. She wears a black dress with a red corset that has a white trim, and two white bone-like buttons. Her gloves are red with a white trim, while her cape is red with a dark green undertone and white trim, and she has silver spikes on her shoulders. Her shoes are high heels with silver spikes, and she wears grey tights. She also wears a purple mask, and the Bundoru Gang's logo appears on her red and black hat.

When she was younger, she wore a red shirt with yellow buttons beneath a crimson vest. She wears a black singlet under her shirt. She also wore thin-framed glasses, and her green hair wasn't tied up.

Personality[]

Secretoru has a very insidious way of speaking. After speaking in a clerical manner, she'll avert her gaze and speak in a very sarcastic way. She highly values successful outcomes, and is also extremely stubborn. She despises teamwork and prefers working alone for her own benefits. She is crueler than she lets on, and is in fact willing to dispose of anyone who is a nuisance to her.

Secretoru is a perfectionist, but wasn't very good at perfecting things. Due to this, she'll do anything to accomplish her goals, even if it means hurting others. However, she begins to accept herself upon being looked after, despite being in denial.

Relationships[]

Godatz: Her boss. She is extremely loyal to him, and is aware of his true identity. However, she ends up being betrayed by Godatz, where she is left hurt and aimless. But as of the finale, Secretoru has forgiven him and remains by his side.
Gentlu: Her former subordinate. She had a tendency of getting frustrated over Gentlu's multiple failures.
Narcistoru: Her former subordinate. They often banter with each other. But after multiple failures, Secretoru starts to develop animosity towards Narcistoru. She also only regards him as a sacrificial pawn, and is willing to dispose of him. As of the finale, Secretoru gets along with Narcistoru, and is willing to work together with him.
Spiritoru: Her subordinate. She finds Spiritoru too childish and overzealous for her own liking, but forces herself to cooperate with him. She later reprogrammes him to fit her own expectations.
Fuwa Hatsuko: In episode 43, it is revealed that she is a fan of the Genius Taster and admires her a lot. She gets nervous around her and in episode 45, Secretoru decides that she wants to work for Hatsuko after she leaves CooKingdom's prison.

Etymology[]

Secretoru's name, セクレトルー, likely comes from the words, "secretary" (セクレタリー, "secretary")^?, and "to steal" (取る, "to steal")^?.

History[]

In the past, Secretoru struggled to do things she loved to do, such as cooking. Due to these failures, Secretoru adapted the mindset of a perfectionist, which carried on when she joined the Bundoru Gang.^DPPC39

Secretoru scolds Gentlu for doing the bare minimum, and doing things too slowly. She tells her to work harder since CooKingdom has sent pursuers. ^DPPC01 Sometime later, Secretoru suspects Gentlu is up to something as she notices Gentlu having headaches after constantly failing previous missions. ^DPPC08

With Narcistoru going on missions, Secretoru gradually becomes more dissatisfied with his progress, to the point that tension between her and Narcistoru starts to rise.^DPPC20 Sometime later, Secretoru scolds Narcistoru for not utilizing his own strengths. She then tosses him a purplish black stone after seeing him return to the headquarters.^DPPC24 She isn't happy that she has to cooperate with Spiritoru, as he doesn't refer to Godatz with honorifics and also steals her Bundoru chant, but forces herself to work with him anyway. ^DPPC26

When listening to Spiritoru's rants about how meals and fun times are worthless, Secretoru begins to realize the robot's thoughts are basically Narcistoru's, which makes her curious about his past.^DPPC27 Secretoru later digs into Spiritoru's data and finds out about Narcistoru's past. She then warns Narcistoru that he will be kicked out if he fails again. She later reveals that she has restored Spiritoru and that Narcistoru was always a sacrificial pawn. She is satisfied that she now has his leftover resources to summon Gossori Ubauzo. ^DPPC28

After reprogramming Spiritoru, Secretoru sneaks into CooKingdom, by knocking out a guard and disguises herself as one. She proceeds to capture multiple Recipepes and creates a powerful Gossori Ubauzo after Cerfeuil accidentally bumps into her and busts her disguise so it can attack Cerfeuil on her behalf. She then retreats after her Ubauzo is purified.^DPPC29 After reporting to Godatz, he gives her permission to go on missions herself.^DPPC30 She later also invents Mini Spiritorus to help with her workload in the Bundoru Gang headquarters.^DPPC34

Upon realizing that her robots have unintentionally aided Narcistoru to escape prison, Secretoru decides to capture him in-person. She even attempts to dispose of him with her Gossori Ubauzo, until Finale rescues Narcistoru. She decides to plan for more extreme measures later as she retreats. ^DPPC37

When passing by restaurants, Secretoru notices the egg dishes, and is reminded of her past. She proceeds to capture the Tamagoyaki and Tamago Kake Gohan Recipepes to create a Gossori Ubauzo. During the fight, she tries to discourage Precious by saying she doesn't allow any weaknesses in her own life. However, her words only encourage Precious instead, who punches her Gossori Ubauzo. When Precious asks her why she thinks the way she does, Secretoru is reminded of her past. Secretoru refuses to answer and retreats.^DPPC39

Upon Spiritoru's return to the lair, Secretoru remembers the time she refused a man's help. This prompts her to steal the Christmas Cake Recipepe, as well as kidnapping the Energy Fairies. She is pursued by Rosemary and Takumi, where she stops Rosemary from summoning the Delicious Field by binding his hands with her red rope. However, Takumi transforms into Black Pepper and frees Rosemary, teleporting Secretoru and her Ubauzo into the Delicious Field. There, Secretoru uses a device to enhance the Ubauzo's powers. However, she is questioned by Precious about why she doesn't seem happy despite her true wish being to help Godatz. Secretoru quickly leaves the Delicious Field after the Ubauzo is purified.^DPPC40

Under Godatz's orders, Secretoru captures the Onigiri Recipepe. During the fight, she is angered by Precious for trying to reason with her, so she binds her. However, Precious outsmarts her and flings her away. In the end, she bows down before Godatz when he reveals himself before the Cures.^DPPC41 However, she ends up being betrayed and abandoned by Godatz, much to her own shock and sadness. She then has to be hospitalized as she has sustained serious injuries.^DPPC42

After being taken in, Secretoru starts crying over her failures, but Rosemary encourages her to own up to her mistakes. She is very surprised and emotional when she meets Fuwa Hatsuko, and is shocked when Hatsuko admits that she isn't good at cooking. But after hearing how Hatsuko admitted her faults and being encouraged in the past, Secretoru begins to have more hope in accepting herself.^DPPC43 After recovering, Secretoru, who is riding on a lucky cat, tells the Cures to destroy Godatz's fused Delicious Stone. Secretoru denies that she's helping the Cures, making up an excuse of only wanting to have a happy future.^DPPC44 After the final battle, Secretoru serves her prison sentence by doing community service, and vows to work for Hatsuko after she is released from jail.^DPPC45

Abilities[]

Ubauzo Creation: Like the other members of Bundoru Gang, she is able to summon a Gossori Ubauzo using the stolen Recipepes and her Bundoru Gang container. Whenever she steals Recipepes, any traces and related words of food will be removed out of existence.
Hypnotization: She is able to exude a special gas that can put her foes to sleep.
Binding Powers: Secretoru is able to summon a red energy looking rope that she uses to restrict her enemies' movement.

It's revealed Secretoru's first love was bittersweet as the candy she ate tasted bittersweet.^DPPC14

In an interview from the January 2023 Animage Precure Special Edition issue, it is revealed that Secretoru was meant to whisper when doing her side eye expression, but her voice actor, Kinoshita Sayaka kept saying it in her normal tone, so the staff went with it.
As revealed in the Delicious Party Kanshasai, Secretoru and Narcistoru are currently living in CooKingdom as permanent residents.
