"What has happened!? Miyuki's nonsensical Cinderella" (どうなっちゃうの！？みゆきのはちゃめちゃシンデレラ Dou nacchau no!? Miyuki no hachamecha Shinderera)? is the 39th episode of Smile Pretty Cure! and is the 428th episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.
In the English dub, Glitter Force, it is called "A Fairytale Ending" and is the 31st episode.
Summary[]
Miyuki is sucked into the Cinderella Fairy Tale and attempts to give it, and herself a Happy Ending.

Synopsis[]
Miyuki is visiting the school library when she spots a mysterious book on the floor. Candy is curious, and Miyuki recognizes it as Cinderella. She touches a page and is suddenly sucked inside the glowing book, leaving Candy alone and confused.
Miyuki falls down a chimney and finds herself covered in ashes. A fan of fairy tales, she is overjoyed to realize that she's become Cinderella.
The other girls notice Miyuki is missing, but assume she's just taking a long time to choose a book in the library. Suddenly, Pop's book appears through the window to report Cinderella is missing, and the girls have to cover her up. Moments later, Candy appears through the door with the book of Cinderella, and the girls have to cover her up too.
They head the roof, where Pop reveals that the book is not only a copy of Cinderella, but the Original Cinderella, the prototypical true version of the story from Märchenland. All copies of Cinderella in the world are connected to this book. In the book, they see Miyuki enjoying her role as Cinderella, despite the harsh chores.
Suddenly, Majorina, Wolfrun, and Akaoni appear to take the book, planning to change the story to give it a Bad End. If they succeed, all versions of Cinderella around the world will have a Bad End, and the joy people feel by reading it will be destroyed. As the villains rush to be first to ruin the book, Candy touches it, and everyone is sucked inside. Now, the girls must take the roles of characters in the story to ensure a Happy End.
Miyuki is looking forward to the Happy End when the villains appear: Cinderella's evil stepmother, played by Majorina, and her stepsisters, played by Wolfrun and Akaoni. They're intent on giving the story a Bad End, but Miyuki is determined to stay positive.
Wolfrun shakes mud over Miyuki's clean laundry, and Akaoni finishes cleaning the floor only for Akaoni to track dirty footprints over it. Majorina appears to ruin a meal Miyuki is cooking, but Miyuki messes it up by herself without Majorina doing anything. Outside the book, Pop sees a dejected Miyuki and flicks through the pages.
The stepsisters are invited to the ball, but Majorina traps her in a cage. Miyuki expects her fairy godmother to rescue her. Unfortunately, the fairy godmother, played by Yayoi, has already been captured.
That night, Nao and Akane appear as a pair of mice and rescue Yayoi. Candy, as a pink lizard, brings a pumpkin. Yayoi transforms the pumpkin into a stagecoach and gives Miyuki a beautiful dress and glass slippers. Nao and Akane become horses for the carriage, and Candy the driver.
On the way to the palace, Wolfrun appears and blows the carriage apart. Meanwhile, Prince Reika awaits visitors to the ball where she will find her bride, but the villains have already scared away the other guests. The only attendees are Wolfrun, Akaoni and Majorina.
Despite the setback, Miyuki runs barefoot to the castle, determined not to allow Cinderella to have a Bad End. Fairy godmother Yayoi shows up and takes Miyuki on her broom, and they speed to the castle in time to rescue Prince Reika from the villains. They crash into the castle forecourt, sending the villains flying.
Prince Reika reaches a hand to Cinderella, and asks for the pleasure of a dance. They dance alone in the great hall, as Yayoi watches on with admiration.
With only five minutes to midnight, Miyuki fills her role as Cinderella by fleeing before the clock strikes twelve. The villains show up to spoil the scene, but Nao and Akane, still as mice, jump into Majorina and Akaoni's wigs to tickle them. Yayoi tries to zap Wolfrun with Peace Thunder, but Majorina accidentally knocks her over. Majorina and Akaoni crash into Wolfrun anyway, and the three end up rolling down the castle staircase. Yayoi blushes as Prince Reika helps her up.
Miyuki leaves a glass slipper, as the story goes. As a last resort, Wolfrun creates an Akanbe from the glass slipper, accidentally using the weaker Red Nose to create a standard Akanbe. Unfortunately, everyone except Miyuki is unable to transform: Yayoi and Reika forgot to bring their Smile Pact, and Akane and Nao can't transform as mice. Determined to protect the story of Cinderella, Miyuki transforms on her own.
Instead of fighting, the Akanbe runs away, since there are only three minutes left until midnight. With one minute left, Candy uses the Sweet Decor causing a rain of sweets that knock over the Akanbe.
Motivated by her desire to protect Cinderella, Cure Happy uses the Princess Candle to transform into Princess Happy. Calling an enormous amount of power, she unleashes a special new attack: Cinderella Happy Shower. The Akanbe is defeated just in time, and the recoil from the attack blasts her all the way back home just as the clock strikes twelve.
The next morning, Prince Reika visits Cinderella's house to have her try on the glass shoe. However, there is one last hiccup. Majorina and Wolfrun have disguised themselves as the prince's footmen, and they produce a giant glass slipper for Akaoni to try on. Unfortunately for Akaoni, the shoe breaks. Candy finds the real glass slipper, and it fits Miyuki perfectly. She accepts Prince Reika's marriage proposal, and the story concludes with a happy ending.
Back at school, Miyuki thanks the others for their help. Miyuki admires Cinderella because it's a story about her friends helping to make her happy. Pop wonders if the events changed the story, with the book's art revealing that Cinderella's transformation into Cure Happy is now canon.

- This episode features the frame from the series opening sequence, where Miyuki imagines herself as Cinderella after reading the book. The prince whose hand she takes turns out to be Aoki Reika.
- When Miyuki notices the villains appear in Cinderella, the eyes of her picture in the frame also turn to notice them.
- The kanji 「道」, meaning "way" or "path", appears yet again, this time as a framed scroll appearing at the introduction of Prince Reika.
- In a subtle attention to detail, Miyuki is actually still wearing the Cinderella gloves at the beginning of her transformation when she activates her Smile Pact.
- This is the only time that Cure Happy performs a solo transformation with the group catchphrase.
