Solaine

Solaine (ソレーヌ, Sorēnu)^? is the boss of the pâtisserie "MON TRESOR" who scouted and educated Kirahoshi Ciel about becoming a top pâtissier.

Appearance[]

Solaine is a French woman who has ivory-colored hair. She wears framed sunglasses, pink lip gloss and yellow teardrop earrings. She normally is in a pale baby-blue blouse and a pair of black trousers, as well as black flats. A long blue scarf with red stripes is around her neck.

Personality[]

Solaine is dedicated to the qualities of desserts and is rather picky about sweets at any stores she visits, and can be judgmental and critical if her standards are not being met. However, she does have an eye for noticing when a person does have talent, such as training Ciel to become the very best.

Relationships[]

Kirahoshi Ciel: Her former student. She didn't like the idea of Ciel living at Ichigozaka, but eventually came to accept Ciel's decision.

History[]

Prior to the season, Solaine was searching for a new partner to run her shop. She came across Jean-Pierre Zylberstein, but Jean-Pierre refused, causing them to argue. Right after Jean-Pierre walked away from her, she noticed that Kirahoshi Ciel had a talent for cooking and scouted her. With Ciel, MON TRESOR gained popularity and the Paris economy soared, until Ciel left a note saying she wanted to travel the world.

After spending some time searching for Ciel, Solaine first appears at a live demonstration at the Halloween Party, criticizing the pumpkin dessert Ciel has finished. She then inspects the shop Ciel owns, and deems it as too small for a genius like Ciel and that Ichigozaka is limiting Ciel's abilities. She then hands the contest flyer to Ciel, as a way to push her to join it.

The next day, Solaine is surprised Ciel has made her a hamster pumpkin pudding that was created by Ciel and the five other girls. Upon tasting it, she recalls her youth in rural France. After listening to Ciel's speech on the importance of friendship, Solaine is deeply impressed, invites Ciel's friends to join Ciel's company, and finally acknowledges Ciel's growth when she was away.^KKPCALM37
