  • Elda attacks the Cures for the first time.

Synopsis

The girls are out for a jog by the beach when they stop for a break. Asuka remarks on how little stamina Sango and Minori when she spots a strange, small pink seal. Laura recognizes it as "Kururun" and introduces it as the Queen's pet once they get it to some water. Laura points out Kururun isn't a seal, but a sea fairy. All it can say is its name, and even she is incapable of understanding it. The girls are puzzled, and Minori wonders if Kururun could be hungry. She asks what Kururun eats and Laura mentions the seashell cookies she keeps in her fridge in the Aqua Pot.

Laura feeds Kururun while Minori explains her theory, and she is also able to theorize that Kururun came by to deliver something to Laura. The girls are impressed until Kururun realizes the item in question has gone missing.

Meanwhile, Butler is trying to converse with Elda but she isn't paying him attention. She complains that he treats her like an adult and not the child she is. Butler apologizes and asks Elda to fetch the item the Queen of the Sea sent up to the surface. She complains until he offers her a reward.

The girls look around the beach in hopes of finding the missing item while Kururun and Laura look under the sea. Nobody has had any luck, and the girls attempt to figure out what the item is. Laura asks Kururun and she guesses it could be a power-up item for Pretty Cure, like a super powerful cannon. Laura promises to make the Queen proud and encourages the girls to keep looking. She remarks on how unusual it is for Minori to search off in the woods, because Kururun was in the water; but to their surprise Minori locates a small bag. She points out that it was on a branch, and theorizes that when Kururun left it was separated from the parcel by a strong current. The parcel washed up on shore and someone kindly picked it up and tied it on a branch so that the owner could find it easier. Laura is surprised that Minori was able to guess correctly on everything thus far and asks how she managed. Minori expresses that by reading so much and understanding the thoughts and feelings of the characters, she has gained a sense of imagination that allows her to think more broadly.

Elda appears just then and asks for the pouch. She introduces herself to the girls and Laura refuses to hand it over, telling her to get lost. Elda becomes frustrated and she summons a Yaraneeda from a nearby shell. She instructs it to grab the bag when the others show up, and they quickly transform into Pretty Cure. As the girls do battle Laura and Kururun go into hiding, but Elda locates them. She asks for the parcel again and they continue to refuse, causing her to throw a fit. This does nothing, and Laura warns her to back off, because the bag contains a power-up item for Pretty Cure.

As the girls struggle to defend themselves from the oncoming spikes being thrown at them, Papaya comes up with an idea after spotting some rope nearby.

Laura opens up the parcel and her hands begin to glow. But to her confusion they discover a large clam shell full of under the sea snacks. Elda mocks their dismay and decides to steal the shell anyway, since they are yummy sweets.

The girls wrap the shell monster up with the rope in an attempt to stop it. It gets thrown into the air from their force and nearly crushes Elda, and while its dizzy the girls curiously ask Laura about the food. She awkwardly attempts to explain but isn't given the chance when the Yaraneeda snaps out of its daze. Elda asks for them to hand it over but Papaya refuses, expressing that these sweets were prepared by the Queen for Laura. It may not be a power-up but its a special gift and she refuses to let Elda steal them. She summons her Heart Rouge Wand and uses Panpaka Papaya Shot to dispose of the Yaraneeda.

The girls return to normal after Elda leaves and they enjoy the sunset while wondering why the Queen had Kururun send the sea sweets to her. Minori thinks it could be the Queen's way of letting Laura enjoy something she grew up with, as she isn't able to return home at the time. The girls try the yummy sweets and Kururun curiously taps the Aqua Pot, causing a Bubble Picture to appear. Laura explains what they are as Kururun presses another, and Manatsu asks to try. The girls happily observe the bubbles and they float back into the Aqua Pot.

Later, the girls prepare to say goodbye to Kururun and Laura asks that it lets the Queen know of her progress. However, Kururun wants to see the Aqua Pot, and when Laura holds it up it hops into it. Laura asks if it wants to stay with them, expressing shock as the girls welcome Kururun to their group. She goes on to blow one of the Bubble Pictures towards the sea, and it floats beneath the water to the Queen.
