Synopsis

Manatsu is surprised to learn that a movie will be shot at their school during their upcoming vacation. They don't know anything about the movie, but the staff plans on using the students as extras. Inspired, Manatsu decides their club should focus on being in a movie so that they do well. Laura recalls what a movie is when she watched one with Manatsu recently, and in all of the excitement, she, Sango and Manatsu fail to notice that Asuka and Minori have some reservations about this.

After school, Manatsu attempts to convince her friends to reconsider. Minori is too withdrawn and uncomfortable with being seen, while Asuka doesn't want to be embarrassed. Manatsu tries reasoning with them, since it would be a lot of fun, and Sango admits that she wants to see what its like working backstage on a movie. Laura remarks on how boring that is, she'd rather act. But they tell her that she won't be in it at all. As she asks why, Manatsu notices a strange person nearby hiding, and the girl panics after she gets closer to ask if she needs help. The girl turns to run and smacks right into a light pole, causing her glasses, hat and mask to fall off as she hits the ground.

After helping her up the girls recognize her as Yuna Yamabe, a young actress whose been rising in popularity. They bring her back to Sango's place and sit down with her to talk. They were wondering why she was there since the film shoot hasn't began yet. Yuna expresses how normally her roles fit her gentle, soothing personality. But this new role is totally unlike her, it would suit a tougher girl like Asuka: she's playing the mean rich girl who bullies the protagonist. She's been trying, but she can't get it right and it has her worried. It's then Sango sees her mom carrying a cutesy panda head into the room, and she explains its for their brand new makeup theme, Cinderella. The girls are surprised by that prop, and Miyuki explains the reasoning behind it, only to spot Yuna.

She joins the girls at the table to reveal that she knows the Director of the film and was called to handle the casts makeup for it, much to their surprise. She feels sympathetic for Yuna, who is worried that she'll be letting everyone down because of how drastically different her role is, and how she doesn't feel comfortable playing it. It's then Manatsu suggests that with a makeover, she will feel much more energetic. The girls seem unconvinced until Yuna reveals that she asked a friend of hers, a makeup artist for help. They put together a few looks but none of them felt right. At this rate she worries that she'll be an inconvenience- she may as well quit. Manatsu refuses to stand for that, and she offers herself and the others to train her.

Asuka attempts to toughen her expression -after clarifying she isn't glaring, but gazing intensely- and Minori provides books and videos related to various villains. Manatsu takes her out for a jog to help her build up stamina, and then they suggest she practice her evil laugh. Unfortunately, Yuna is struggling more than they imagined she would. Miyuki is surprised to find the girls are still at it, but she's alright with them using the room since she'll be working outside today. She's going to be wearing the panda head and handing out samples. Suddenly, Sango gets an idea and she asks her mom if she can do it, and with the other girls they head outside to hand out the sample cosmetics. Inside the shop, Miyuki brings up how proactive her daughter is as they observe. Yuna admits that she is surprised, because from meeting them she thought Sango had an energy similar to her own. Miyuki explains that this is a recent change in Sango. She used to be a lot more quiet and passive about how she felt, to avoid others hating her. But with the other girls, she has begun to open up more.

They are joined by Manatsu, who assures them that Sango didn't change, this was her own doing. She's learned to "tropica-shine" now. Manatsu runs back out after grabbing the samples, followed by Minori and Asuka, who remark that them being pulled along by Manatsu helped them take that step forward too. This encourages Yuna, but before she can consider her next action from here, the girls are startled when Sango suddenly passes out from over-heating.

They bring her back inside and she gets a drink, feeling much better. They gently chastise her for overdoing it, but Sango wants to keep going. This was always something she wanted to try. She explains that she reread Cinderella before she got into costume, and she began to think about the story differently from when she was a child. She wondered what the most important thing she got from her fairy godmother was; and she realized that it was the courage to step into the ballroom she longed for. These words give Yuna the push she needs and she asks to take over for Sango, putting on the costume and heading outside. She manages to charm a group of younger girls with her portrayal of Cindy and the others watch from inside, happy to see Yuna has overcome her anxiety.

Eventually, the day of filming begins. Numeri observes some excited fans as they realize Yuna will be there, and this gives her an idea.

As this is going on, the girls begin to worry over Yuna noticing she is still nervous. But Miyuki encourages her by expressing that makeup is the glass slipper for Cinderella. What she does with it is up to her. With confidence Yuna steps outside to tell the Director she's ready, only for Numeri to use this moment to suck everyone's motivation and transform one of the filming lights into a Yaraneeda. It uses its light to take as much motivation as it can find in the surroundings and Miyuki leads Yuna away, giving the girls the opportunity to transform. Numeri tells them they are too late, and the monster blasts the group with blinding light. Coral blocks it, giving Summer and Flamingo the chance to attack it. When its about to hit them Papaya comes to get them out of the way and Coral continues to block it. The girls realize they can't get close to it with its harmful light attacks, until Papaya observes a beam of its light shining on the water nearby. This gives her an idea and the girls asks Coral to keep distracting it. They return with three large mirrors to deflect its light back at itself, and while its blinded Laura uses the Aqua Pot to steal back the motivation power. The girls get closer to the Yaraneeda with the mirrors, giving Coral a chance to use her finisher to defeat it.

With that the filming begins, and Yuna amazes everyone with her haughty, mean-spirited character. Later, Manatsu happily watches a report going on about how impressive Yuna was, and she later meets up with the other girls and Sango's mom. They were even in the movie a little, which is a bonus. Laura is disappointed that she couldn't be in it though.

At the Witches domain, there is a meeting going on between the villains. They're getting fed up with their constant failures, but Butler remarks that she wasn't surprised. Which is why she's gone ahead to provide a powered up orb for their use. This will give birth to the brand new ZenZen Yaraneeda.
