Synopsis

Manatsu excitedly announces that she passed the retest thanks to the other girls helping her study.  She suggests that they come up with their next club activity and mentions how she would like to include the other clubs too. Minori builds off of Manatsu's idea to play in the sand by recommending that they hold a sand art competition. The others agree so they head off to ask the Teacher for permission.

With everyone gathered, Manatsu does the announcement to begin the competition. She and the others explain how voting will commence after tomorrow evening, when the art will be due. They are only allowed to use their shovels, bodies and spray bottles, and the winning team will earn a years worth of tropical melon bread. With that the clubs choose their art's location and get to work. Manatsu apologizes to Laura because she isn't able to come out right now with everyone there, and the girls fail to see how frustrated she is as Manatsu reveals her drawing; the other three are less-than impressed until Asuka takes it and quickly redraws it to look more clean and cute. They have so much fun preparing the base of their sand art, that Asuka accidentally sprays Minori when they become distracted. She goes on to spray the startled Manatsu, who sprays Sango and they begin to goof around.

As this is going on, a bored Laura is laying around with Kururun. She really wants to go out but they told her not to, and she manipulates Kururun to give herself an excuse to escape. With nobody else around, Laura pops out of the Aqua Pot and takes shelter to take surprise pictures of the girls, but she's disappointed to see they're having fun. The girls take a break to assist the other teams when they need a hand or have questions, and soon their teacher Ms. Sakuragawa approaches, complimenting them for hosting a contest like this. She brought them some gummies to snack on and Manatsu suggests they take a break, but not before handing over some to Laura in the Aqua Pot.

Manatsu works on sculpting a fin but she isn't sure if it looks accurate. Laura comes over to suggest how it should look and expresses disappointment as the girls fail to understand, and she hops away in annoyance. By now the sun has began to set so they decide to call it a day, but before going they decide to take a look at the other teams sand art; they see a giant cake, a baseball glove with ball, a judo design, an abstract garden and a Spanish cathedral.

This inspires the girls to work even harder on their own work the next day. But as they are nearing completion it begins to pour down rain, forcing everyone to take shelter. Minori notes the rain is getting stronger and everyone slowly becomes disappointed, realizing that all of their efforts will have gone to waste. Seeing this, Manatsu attempts to save their sand art by grabbing the large beach umbrellas. Laura chastises her for this and suggests the large paragliding sails she saw, showing Manatsu a picture. Just as one of the art pieces begin to crumble, Manatsu arrives with a bunch of them and everyone pitches in to try to protect their art pieces.

Numeri is observing them from afar and unleashes a Zenzen Yaraneeda to steal the motivation of the other club's members. The girls refuse to let their work go to waste, and they transform into Pretty Cure. The Yaraneeda spins around, preventing the girls from getting close to it until Coral and Summer work together throwing sand and water at it to force the large monster to hold still, giving Papaya and Flamingo a chance to escape its game of jump rope. They hold the Yaraneeda in place by turning the mound of sand into a large Kururun statue, giving Laura a chance to take back the motivation power. The Cures go on to use Mix Tropical to rid of it. Numeri complains over the rain clearing up and takes off as everyone begins to wake up. The sky clears up and everyone eagerly returns to work on their sand art.

Eventually, the Art Club is announced as the winners of the competition. Everyone applauds them and the girls admire their own sculpture. Even though it changed a little bit since the initial sketch, it looks wonderful, and the girls are happy to see how happy everyone else is, having enjoyed themselves.

Laura observes the pictures she took with a wistful expression, and Kururun joins her to ask if she feels lonely. Laura denies it and that evening lays out in the pool while observing the sky. She is joined by Manatsu, who suggests they do a club activity she can participate in too.
