Battle of Motivation! Shine! Tropical Paradise! (やる気大決戦！輝け！トロピカルパラダイス！ Yaruki Daikessen! Kagayake! Toropikaru Paradaisu!)? is the 45th episode of Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure and is the 872nd episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.
Summary
With the former villains' help, the Cures fight the Butler Yaraneeda to recover the world's Motivation Power. He seems an unstoppable enemy, but the girls vow to do what's most important right now...!
Major Events
- Chongire, Numeri, and Elda defect to the Cures' side after Butler betrayed them.
- The Cures, along with Cure Oasis, perform Super Tropical Paradise for the first time, defeating Butler and bringing him back to his regular state.
- As a last ditch effort to destroy the world, Butler uses his own Motivation Power to completely fill up the Fool's Casket.
- The Mermaid Queen repairs the Mermaid Aqua Pot, allowing La Mer to extract the Motivation Power from the Fool's Casket and return it to everyone in Grand Ocean and Aozora City.
- The Mermaid Queen tells Laura that she is next in line to be queen, but also gives her the choice of remaining a human and staying with her friends.
Synopsis
The world is afflicted with abnormal weather, and much of the population is unconscious. Underwater, the Pretty Cures appear to have been defeated, and Butler prepares to take their Motivation Power. Manatsu tries to transform, but Butler knocks her pact out of her hand. Butler summons an army of Kowasunda, the long-legged creatures which the Witch of Destruction summoned centuries ago.
Chongire, Numeri and Elda return, this time on the side against Butler. Elda decides that what she wants to do most right now is to return Manatsu's pact, and the girls transform to fight Butler. The former villains take on the Kowasunda while the girls fight Butler, launching Marine Beat Dynamic.
However, Butler is too strong to be defeated by Marine Beat Dynamic. He is unharmed Cure La Mer's Ocean Bubble Shower, breaks through Cure Coral's five-layer block, and parries simultaneous hits from Cure Summer's Sunny Summer Strike and Cure Flamingo's Swooping Flamingo Smash. He opens a rift to the depths of the ocean, and the girls sink into it.
The Cures wake up in the lightless depths, and Cure Papaya uses her eye beams to provide light. Thinking of Tro-Fest and all the things they still want to do, the Cures decide that saving their beloved city is what they want to do most right now. They join hands and deploy an ultimate attack using both the Land and Marine rings: Super Tropical Paradise. The attack summons a giant Cure Oasis, who crushes Butler and reduces him to his normal state.
As a last ditch option, Butler offers up his own Motivation Power to fill the Fool's Casket, leaving his body a withered husk. The world is wracked with natural disasters.
In the nick of time, Grand Ocean arrives and the Mermaid Queen delivers the repaired Mermaid Aqua Pot. She uses it to perform an "Ultra Super Amazing Come Back", recovering the entire world's Motivation power. The Fool's Casket explodes, taking the mansion with it and collapsing the entire trench. The Cures escape on Grand Ocean, with the former villains clinging to the bottom of it.
Grand Ocean floats to the surface, and La Mer releases the Motivation Power. Mermaids, sea creatures and humans everywhere awaken as their energy is restored. Grand Ocean is restored.
Back at school, the Tropical Club works hard to prepare for Tro-Fes, helping the other clubs with their preparations. Yuriko asks Asuka directly if she and her friends saved the world, but she denies it.
That night, the girls sleep over at school. While everyone sleeps, Manatsu overhears Laura receiving a call from the Mermaid Queen, who announces that Laura is to return tomorrow to take up her duties as Queen. However, she is given the option of abdicating, living as a human.
