Nyatoran

Nyatoran (ニャトラン^?) is one of the main fairies and Hinata's fairy partner in Healin' Good♥Pretty Cure. He is a tabby cat like fairy who ends his sentences with "~nya" (「～ニャ」^?) or "~daze" (「～だぜ」^?).

Bio

Appearance

Nyantoran is a small fairy resembling a pastel yellow cat with orange stripes. His slightly slanted eyes are light brown and he has pink blushed cheeks to match his inner-ear. A fanged tooth sticks out on one side of his mouth. He has a tuft of auburn spiked hair at the middle of his head, and white fur around his neck with two gold diamonds. There is also a small fish-shaped mark on his forehead that is obscured by his hair.

Personality

Nyatoran is very free-spirited and much like Hinata, he is rather blunt. He is also a show off who prefers being cool, but can occasionally get impatient or serious. He also becomes flustered when showered with affection.

Relationships

Hiramitsu Hinata: At first, Nyatoran is not comfortable around Hinata but soon grows fond of her and chooses her as his partner.
Kusaka Orie: Orie is a lady who Nyatoran falls in love with because of her kindness. When he realizes that Orie is married to another man, he is heartbroken and decides to hide his feelings from her forever.
Rabirin and Pegitan: Nyatoran is good friends with his fellow Healing Animal companions.
Latte: Nyatoran and Latte are good friends, with Nyatoran acting as Latte's big brother.

Etymology

Nyatoran (ニャトラン, Nyatoran^?) is a combination of nya (ニャ, nya^?) which is the Japanese sound for "meow, ^[1] and tora (トラ, tora^?) which means "tiger"^[2].

History

After many failed attempts at finding a partner, Nyatoran comes across Hinata when he returns her lip gloss. However, he accidentally speaks in front of her. Due to being impressed by Hinata's willingness to help her friends, he officially chooses Hinata as his partner to defeat the Megabyogen. ^HGPC04

When Hinata wonders whether she should quit being Sparkle, Nyatoran is upset. He brightens up though after realizing Hinata will continue to be his partner. ^HGPC13

After stumbling across a fragrance shop, Nyatoran develops feelings for the store owner, Orie. Despite wanting Orie to be his new partner, Hinata gladly helps him deliver his gifts to her. But after realizing Orie is married to another man, Nyatoran keeps the gifts he made to himself and is happy with how much closer he has become with Hinata. ^HGPC18

After Hinata begins to despair after falling for Guaiwaru's trap, Nyatoran cheers her up by telling her to remember all of the successes she has instead of dwelling on her failures and every time she did fail, she stood back up. This, along with the support of the other girls, snaps Hinata out of her despair. ^HGPC40

After the final battle with King Byogen, Nyatoran comforts Hinata before he leaves with his fellow Healing Animals and Fuurin Asumi back to the Healing Garden.^HGPC44 He later grings the three girls around the place and fights against the sweet bun Megabyogen with Sparkle, before the girls take their leave.^HGPC45

Nyatoran's voice actor, Kanada Aki has participated in one image song for the character she voices. She sings this image song as a duet with Kouno Hiyori, the voice of Hiramitsu Hinata.

Nyatoran's birthday is on February 22^nd, making his star sign Pisces. February 22^nd is also Cat Day in Japan^[3].
He shares his voice actor with Jun from Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure!.
Episode 13 revealed that he does not like his fish-shaped mark being seen by others.
