Theories can go here or on the comment section but please put picture leaks here. I don't want fake leaks taking up space on in the actual comment section~

    • Now there’s a pun Nagisa’s dad would be proud of.

Anyway looks like a medical/rescue themed season which could be interesting. There’s what looks like a heart shaped paw print on the logo so animals might be involved somehow as well.

        Loading editor
    • Hope: if they do animals, it's one animal fairy per Cure instead of one collective they all have to care for. (if they're all basically going to be Buki then they better make it work like that)

Fear: Yet another baby and/or another Yell/Hugtan situation with just one fairy they all have to care for.

Fear #2: An entire episode about fairy poop. (seriously if you saw when Buki got her weapon, that's what the episode was about: Chiffon having constipation!)

    • I’d kind of like to see animal themed suits and powers return from KiraKira as well (or failing that, something doctor/rescue themed could be interesting too).

    • I'm worried that we are not going to get green and white Cures. The "Healing Good" has a blend of blue and green. They might have separate blue and green Cures or a blue Cure in green.

        Loading editor
    • Pink, Green, Blue, and Purple seem to be prominent on the logo so we’ll probably wind up getting both again.

    • I want blonde this time

        Loading editor
    • White Cure. Just a White Cure, period considering my recent complaints that Rhythm is the only reason why White and Egret aren't blues. (if you don't count Echo or Tomorrow)

Oh and if we have a central fairy...if it's a doctor theme, a snake would be fun considering the typical medical symbol.

    • From what I've seen in the logo, I believe this'll be a nature/animal rescue theme season. Can't wait to see what this one brings for us!

Pink-haired pink heroes are starting to become indistinguishable. I think the next pink should either be black, brown, or blonde-haired. The green and purple are a little hard to see. The green on the plants looks like yellow-green like green tea. In the middle of Healing Good looks like teal. That is making me think the green might be a blonde, or using yellow or blue to make up her outfit. Really, we want a green Cure wearing ALL green that doesn't have a mix of blue, red, yellow, nor pink. Toei needs to start taking better chances. At least the past greens don't bomb as hard as Doki Doki.

A letdown for not having a white Cure because that would have referenced healing boxes. The white on the heart could just be a transparent for PNGs.

Of course, no one wants mid-season Cures because it won't give other Cures a chance to have their own episodes. 2-4 Cures would be enough. A pink, green, and white team is still original in Pretty Cure, and can succeed.

      Hcpc.seijiop

Given the name is called Healing Good, I would like to see a tareme boy as a supporting character. I think girls and boys can like cute, round-eyed boys who don't look serious all the time like tsurime (sharp-eyed) characters. In a way, it does match the nice personality characters can have, something you can have as a friend. We have Seiji, and he sounds fine too.

    • This is gonna be fun~

    • Definitely can see a green cure being prominent. Maybe there'll be a pink and green duo?

As for themes, I predict animals and nature. If so, maybe the Cures would have to protect animals in a magical forest-type setting? And the Cures will have healing powers they can use if any animals are turned into monsters?

        Loading editor
    • i know pink and green cure looks possible maho had Pink and Purple that was a nice change

        Loading editor
    • Another possibility for Healin’ Good (though somewhat less likely) would be a Goseiger style series about a group of angels (albeit not the immortal kind of course) disguised as humans who protect the Earth in secret. Maybe have a human discover them and become their Seiji/Yui equivalent for the season (or better yet gain powers of her own and join them).

They could have kind of an elemental theme going for them with maybe three Cures to start each representing air, land, and sea respectively. It might also be interesting to begin en media res with the Cures already having their powers at the start (Happiness Charge sort of did this in the sense that everyone else was already a Cure before Megumi got her powers).

    • very interesting

let's see for how many heroines in this new series

    • Maybe the series will touch on environmental themes, with the Cures having to save a kingdom linked to nature.

I can also see them as fairies, especially if they want to use the nature theme.

    • Can we just have a male villain who is the prince of the evil group or what so ever and then turned good? (Kinda like Twilight but he's actually the main villain's son)

      Or

A mascot or a fairy animal character that is not small and cute? The design would be based on a mythological creature or an actual animal (e.g. fox, wolf). It can turn human but with animal ears and tail instead. It can disguise his animal ears and such but the control is poor.

We already have one but we need more.

    • 1) Starting off with title, Toei... what are you- KIDDING! I can already tell this is a pun loosely based off of the phrase "Feelin' better" which is usually used to say after you're healed so it was clever yet at the same time giving me shivers of how cheesy it was. But I won't solely judge this season by its title ofc. When I first read it, I have many mixed reactions with it; it felt iffy to me but yet at the same time has a nice ring to it which makes me feel calm whenever I say it (I'll just say this title is my guilty pleasure). Luckily, I'll get used to it as I did with Hugtto's and maybe in the end, it becomes really nice for me to listen to.

      2) Design-wise, I love it! I'll be honest, so far this has been the most beautifully designed logo I've ever seen out of all the recent seasons. Kirakira's was ok, Hugtto's and MahouTsukai felt a bit too generic while Star Twinkle's was too simple, this one has catched my interest the most as the use of colors are mixed in together very well and has notable aspects to its theme. It really sets an unexpected tone for me in precure logos, peaceful and soothing. Most are seen energetic and generic, but this one really stands as its own. This is where I'll lastly say that this logo gives me Go! Princess vibes because that season also had a unique logo. The similarities I'm seeing between the two is possible to be designed by Nakatani Yukiko, the character designer in Go! Princess due to both having a mix of using two colors, how the themes are visually told by its design, the small english translation is right in the middle which most of them from Precure logos are to the right side, has a lining design under the the title and surrounding the English translation (Go! Princess's swirly lines and Healin' Good's stems) even they both have the same color of the outer font, light brown. My guess is that Nakatani Yukiko will most likely be in next year's Precure season.

      3) Lastly, my thoughts for their themes. For their main theme, it would obviously be nature based on the plants however... I know Splash Star has used this before but this one feels like they'll be focusing about all of Earth's flora and fauna and the importance of protecting our planet. In other words, not just nature but the Earth as a whole has a higher chance of using it as a theme. I used to think it'll be medicine because of the word "healin'" but I've scratched that out of my head. I think the word healing will be used as a metaphor for saving the Earth, because really once we do something for our planet we see it as a way for not just helping it but curing and healing its wounds and to make it "feel better". Despite the cheesy pun, it makes sense as to why it'll be added in as a title. As for the paw print, which is something that I'm seeing a lot of people discuss, I don't know if it'll be used as a theme. If it will, then I hope to see it as either a sub-theme or part of the main theme because besides plants, animals are a part of nature too. I really don't want it to just be its core theme and nothing else since I find "Saving our Earth" way more meaningful.

I won't be speculating on the # of cures this time because I don't really see much hints in the logo and there are few Precure logos that don't send hints of each cure's color, just like Go! Princess's

What are you kidding? is a phrase I never thought I'd hear in my life. Nah, they aren't kidding about the show's name because it's a pun XD "Feeling good" -> "Healing good" -> "Healin' Good" But, ya know, to each their own if you like the title or not. Obviously it won't appeal to everyone!

I've been thinking about your second and third points too! The logo gives off really strong GoPri vibes, so I'd imagine the designer actually coming back for this season! I feel like the theme will be medical/cure and nature combination based off of the title alone (the pun + the floral designs). Who knows, they could be named after herbs like Basil and Thyme, which are often used in medical treatment.

Just gonna hope that we'll have a smaller group this coming year. We haven't seen a 4-Cure team in 5 years, and the last three seasons had 5-6 Cures EACH! So a 3-4 Cure team would make a lot of sense.

    • @Cure Alumi Oh the word was supposed to be an interruption to what I was about to say "Toei, what are you-". See the dash on "you-" I added in as an interruption to just joke around or make it seem as I was kidding. I actually have no problem with the title that much :)

I really hope Go! Princess's character designer will return and this time, 2-4 cures! Right now, I'm getting annoyed with the amount of 5 cure team they keep having.

    • In case you haven’t noticed, Toei loves puns and a lot of characters in this series are named as such (for example, in Yes 5 GoGo Mimino Kurumi literally means “Milk’s Ears” also Nono Hana means “Wildflower” and Aoi Tategami is “Blue Mane”). Heck, even Hugtto was sort of a pun (it means “With a Hug”) so while sort of cringy I’m not too bothered by the title.

And yeah, it seems like the bigger the team the more characters seem to be left behind as far as character development goes (Elena barely even has a story in the current season) so keeping it as small as possible would probably be for the show’s benefit.

That said it might be nice to get a white Cure as part of the main team again (we haven’t had one since Suite after all) or at least a green Cure that actually looked green.

Though if it does wind up being medical themed it might be funny to have a member named Cure Cure.

    • What we need is something closer to HeartCatch/Suite's style for their characters: start as a duo, grow to 4 and maybe have a means to set them up meaningfully, especially if it means one Cure joins at the "midway point" and one shows up much later on. I sort of wonder why they don't just do as many duos but for the most part it's probably due to less to sell with less Cures early on regardless of gimmicks. (even if duos allow for well develop cast members; not just the main Cures but the side-characters, villains, world building and whatnot)

        Loading editor
    • If the rumor of the creators of Go! Princess Pretty Cure are coming back for this one is true then it would be perfect because 2020 will be year that HeartCatch Pretty Cure will celebrating its 10th Anniversary while Go! Princess Pretty Cure will celebrating its 5th Anniversary as well. These two Pretty Cure shows are the best and I give them both a rating a perfect 10/10. Star Twinkle Pretty Cure in my opinion is possibly might get a prefect 10/10 as well.

    • I hope that there is a focus on helping others.

        Loading editor
    • I think there should be 4 Cures by episode 4. This will allow the Cures to have their own episodes, and know the villains by name. Having 2 duos will feel like 2 separate teams, and they may not interact with each other. If the focus is about helping others, maybe there will be a focus on when to rely on others because they can have a different ability than the other, or to team up to combine their powers. Strength, skill, and determination is required instead of the "friendship is stronger" cliché. Pink and green can go first in episodes 1 and 2, and the yellow and blue can go second in episodes 3 and 4. Since healing powers might be used, they should be used to revert the people that have been turned into monsters back to their normal selves. The Pretty Cure can use their healing powers to help the other Cures like if they are paralyzed and stuff too. I wish they can have permanent deaths. Maybe to an ally to show that even heroes can die in situations.

I think A la Mode had good character work and was able to juggle their 6 Cures to make sure they each got some development. Also have to agree with Elena, and I feel like Madoka may also fall into the same category if her final spotlight episode doesn't give her any development.

In terms of midseason Cures, though, I would like it if they'd have a character who already had a relationship with the Cures vs introducing a new character and shoehorning into the Cures' dynamic. That way we could a midseason cure who's introduction could be intergraded more smoothly into the main tea's, as supposed to it feeling like she was, you know, shoehorned.

        Loading editor
    • Yeah, in Star Twinkle Lala and Yuni are clearly the real main characters, Hikaru and Madoka might become important later depending on how certain events play out (I have some theories regarding the latter’s father but we’ll see) and Elena is likely a lost cause at this point.

As far as midseason additions go, Emiru and Ruru were pretty well handled in that regard back in Hugtto I feel (and Itsuki was in HeartCatch almost from the beginning), the only one that really just came out of nowhere was Aguri from DokiDoki.

I’d also like to see a pair (or more for that matter) of siblings as Precure someday as well.

        Loading editor
    • I think Hikaru is still a main character, but Madoka and Elena have definitely been shafted.

Siblings (or cousins) would be a neat thing to see.

        Loading editor
    • Yeah Hikaru is still important, it’s just that as far as Pinks go she doesn’t seem to have a lot going for her storywise at the moment, but that will probably change as we get closer to the end.

It’s a shame about the others though as I actually kind of like Elena, but like I said there may still be some hope for Madoka depending on what they decide to do with her dad (recent episodes have strongly hinted that Darknest is some kind of artificial being/AI and with his general attitude coupled with him being a high ranking government official, my current theory is that Madoka’s father is behind this somehow).

Of course I could be completely wrong but we’ll see. Regardless, Darknest definitely seems to be hiding some sort of secret we don’t know about yet (not to mention the fact that Toei still hasn’t released the name of his voice actor yet).

Back on topic, I’d kind of like it if Healin Good gave us a slightly smaller team (like 3-4 Cures max), that way there would be less chance of running into any problems regarding character focus.

In fact, maybe forgo a midseason addition entirely for once. It seemed to work well enough for Smile anyway.

        Loading editor
    • I can see them work with a 5 Cure team, but they would need to work on the storytelling and writing to make sure they can juggle all the characters with the plot.

Having no midseason Cure would also be a good idea, especially if there's going to be more than 3-4. Get the Cure introductions out of the way and that'll free up more space for the plot and character development.

        Loading editor
    • Then again, Happiness Charge only had 4 members and half the team still got shafted (Hime’s story felt really rushed and Yuko barely had one to begin with) so the problem may lay more on the writer’s side of things rather than the size of the group.

        Loading editor
    • It honestly matters on the writing and how they'll be able to pull it off with the amount of cure's they'll be featured in a season. Happiness Charge was a good example, it had 4 team members but half of them didn't even get any development, actually pretty much all of them weren't executed very well. Another thing I see it, the more cures you have, the more difficult it'll get to balance them.

      2-3 Cures = Easy 4 Cures = Medium 5-7 Cures = Hard

Despite this, even if it becomes easy or hard, writers still have to pull off a great writing for the main characters to get equal spotlight and characterization.

        Loading editor
    • Iona was basically the only Cure in that season that had anything close to a complete arc in my opinion. But yeah, while a small team would be easier to deal with the show still more or less lives and dies on the strength of the writing.

If you can successfully juggle a cast of 5 or more (which I thought shows like Smile and Hugtto sort of did well) then cool, if not then just keep things as compact as possible so as to try and avoid some of those problems (in fact I’d sort of like to see a season that was just a duo again).

I wouldn’t want a team of any more than 6 though as even in their live action shows Toei has proven time and time again that they’re not great at handling a large cast.

        Loading editor
    • Big casts are a crapshoot for the franchise. Yes! 5 sort of made it work...but in reality Urara (and maybe Milk/Kurumi) are the only characters whose arcs felt like they took two seasons to complete competently. The sacrifice: Rin and Komachi only get focus in Yes! 5 proper, Karen at the tale end of Yes! 5 and more in GoGo, and Nozomi...sometimes you forget her dream amidst it all but most of her developments are done by the end of season 1.

Smile sort of worked but it was so light and fluffy that it worked to it's advantage.

And currently going through KiraKira and...while some of it works, I sort of agree most of it is less development and more other angles of what we find out at the beginning. (only up to 16 so luckily not up to Ciel adding more yet)

    • I've been having a bunch of ideas for the new series, so I'll be listing them all in this post to save space:

a.) If the Healin' girls are interested in healing animals, perhaps they'll have their own veterinary clinic that (like the Kira Kira's Patisserie) can be transported to different locations. That way the Cures can explore different climates and help different animal species. Though despite the possibly theme idea, I can't see the Cures as being animal themed since A La Mode did that with their Cures' looks. The Cures could be nature themed, with Pink being the typical flower one while the other Cures can either reflect different aspects of nature (Other plants, water, sunlight if they want another sun-themed Cure, insects etc.)

b.) Since there's been a few animal references in Star Twinkle (ex. Yuni's cat form, the planet of dog aliens) I think Healin' may get an animal theme, even if it's a sub-theme. It's a long shot, but it's something I thought up yesterday and thought I'd express this for conversation sake.

c.) If the series is nature and animal themed, maybe the Cures will have to defend some nature-filled world inhabited by animals. Or, if they focus on environmental, the world/kingdom can be located on Earth at a secret location only the Cures can access (I can see it being in/near a forest.) The first episode can have the pink Cure discovering an injured animal/fairy and nursing it back to health, then having to protect the creature from an enemy. it would also be neat if the monsters of the week were animals/insects corrupted by the villains. Then the Cures could use their powers to heal them back to normal.

    • I kind of want to see animal themed suits and powers again, it was cool in KiraKira but also had basically nothing to do with the main theme of the show (well technically they were also dessert based).

Maybe even throw in some form changes so each girl can be multiple different animals.

Still feels too similar to Kira Kira, especially since each girl had a unique power associated with her animal (Whip's jump, Custard's speed, I think Gelato had strength?)

It might still be a bit too soon but I just want to see the whole animal idea revisited one day in a season that was actually dedicated to the concept.

I think Healin' can still do that, but not with any 'animal Cure' forms, unless each Cure is paired with an animal mascot and their mascots power them up.

      That'll be unique.

Check out the MiracleLeap visual. They will most likely add all of the Healing Good Cures after the website reveal. Right now, we have ten Cures in this visual. They're floating in front of a clock. A clock which, obviously, goes up until twelve.

MiracleLeap HUGtto and Star Twinkle preview

So my theory is, we will get a Cure duo for HealingGood at first because it would complete twelve Cures for twelve clock hands?

Also the theme for MiracleLeap might be be time travel?

    • Okay, time to throw my hat in the ring...

First, @LeahCCinnamon, I love your insight about a duo! Even though it's only been four years since Mahou, it would be nice to see one again.

Second (If anyone has said this, tell me), I think that this series might take the KiraKira route and go with a dual theme-nature and health. Nature because of the paw and leaf images on the logo, and health due to the name. What do you all think?

        Loading editor
    • Makes sense to me. And yeah, I’d like another duo to start as well.

        Loading editor
    • If we go two Cures, then I sort of hope we go HeartCatch/Suite on extra members: one that's out there and another who joins at the mid-point (instead of something like Happiness Charge where Fortune worked but they really had no idea what and when to use Honey). I'd say another Maho Girls with three ultimately but then it will lead to another Hikari/Ha-chan-like 6th and I'm not sure I really want another of those.

I can see them have a dual-themed series, whichever themes they wanna focus on. One of them should be nature, given how natural the logo looks.

Secondly, the duo idea can work if the clock theory's true. It would also be the first newer All-Stars movie to have the newest team be a duo (We had a 5 team debut in Dream Stars, 3 Team debut in Super Stars, and a 4 team debut in Miracle Universe).

    • Since Hugtto has 5 Cures, and Star Twinkle has 5 Cures, we might have a pink and green duo. But how does the clock even mean will have 2 Healing Cures? I have never seen advertisements where a movie was promoted before the next season, then added the current season Cures in the movie.

Actually they did the same thing with the last one, this is the first poster for Miracle Universe which was originally revealed around the same time the Hugtto movie came out:

Toei just seems to have started a new routine of announcing the crossover movie before they announce the next season for some reason.

Here’s another ad for the same movie that also doesn’t feature the Star Twinkle team anywhere:

The clock on Miracle Leap's group pic goes up to 12, and since there are 10 Cures in the movie so far, it's possible the last 2 spots are for the Healin' Good team if they start out as a duo.

    • Pink and Green would be a unique color set to start with I’ll admit (and if so I hope the latter is a darker shade this time around rather than just being teal again).

If the season does wind up being medical themed that sounds like a decent excuse to bring back a White Cure as well. Not counting Echo and Tomorrow we haven’t had one as part of the main team since way back in Suite.

    • The green on top looks like green tea. The pink and green duo is neat because those two colors are complete opposites like when you change them to negative.

Stop doing this already, it’s getting annoying (or at the very least stop phrasing your guesses as if they were actual facts). Also I’m curious, why do you only ever seem to post about the staff and not anything else?

Back on topic, this has probably been brought up before but judging by the clock motif in the Miracle Leap teaser it seems likely that Healin’ Good might start with a team of 2 (combine that with the 5 from Hugtto and Star Twinkle and you get 12).

Only question is whether that means we’ve got a duo to start with or if it’s a HeartCatch situation where no. 2 joins an episode or two after Pink does (I’d prefer the former honestly).

In any case, we usually start getting some real information around December (maybe late November at the earliest). I’m actually looking forward to this one as you could probably link it to a variety of different themes just from the title/logo design alone.

Yeah. That way the Cures can spend some time apart, instead of being 'joined at the hip' whenever a convenient battle occurs.

        Loading editor
    • Yeah, the problem with duo Cures is that it means that should one of the girls get attacked without her partner around they’re kind of at a major disadvantage. Also as evidenced by the Hugtto movie, if your partner ever gets hit hard enough to force her out of her transformation then you’re immediately going to lose your powers as well.

Beginning the series with two (or possibly even more) Cures is fine but it’d be better if they could also transform and fight individually when needed.

        Loading editor
    • I think that around 3-4 cures would probably be a decent amount. It's a large group but not too large that a cure gets left behind when it comes to development. (unless the writing doesn't allow it) To be honest, they should have just made STPC Cure Star, Milky, and Cosmos considering it seems like they're the only ones who matter, and even then Cure Star hasn't gotten a lot of development.

        Loading editor
    • As I’ve said before, Madoka might be important later depending on how certain plot elements ultimately play out but otherwise yeah, I agree with that.

Though as I’ve also mentioned, Happiness Charge was also a team of 4 but only two of them wound up actually mattering that much in the grand scheme of things so having decent writers on board is also important. But otherwise yeah, while sometimes bigger teams are ok (Smile and the first season of Yes 5 for example) keeping things small is probably for the best.

In fact, I’d kind of like to see another season that just didn’t have any “Extra Cures” as I’ve taken to calling them and instead just focused on developing the starting lineup. If you can’t properly handle the group you already have it doesn’t really make sense to add more people into the mix on top of that.

Mhm, I feel like if you don't do it right, 6th ranger cures steal up the spotlight and completely overshadow the original cures.

I disagree; Elena and Madoka are good characters with lots of potential. It's just that the writers aren't giving them much to work with or much episodes that focus squarely on theme, thus allowing character growth and seeing new sides to them.

Elena is the responsible one, but what else does she have? She seems rather stale as a character and, personality wise, is the most forgettable. If they want to make her a Nao-like character, they needed to give Elena something new that can also fit in with her arc. Yes she's responsible for her siblings, but what if she wants more for herself? What if there are times where she wants to be independent, or there's something about her that makes her a somewhat unideal babysitter? It'd also be cool if they showed different sides t her, like if she had a fear of dogs when they traveled to Kennel.

Madoka's arc is interesting because, while she seems like the typical 'young lady', it's mostly because of her father's expectations. Don't know how her final spotlight episode will play out, but I wish they could have shown Madoka's imperfections in earlier episodes. What if she didn't win the archery contest? What if she didn't win that piano recital she won, despite not being satisfied with her performance? If we see her lose at anything, it would be interesting to see how Madoka would react and possibly how it would impact her in future episodes.

    • Hikaru has her moments but is kind of a bad leader all things considered and I genuinely like Lala and Yuni (they’re good characters with a lot of depth to them). In fact, the latter sort of injects some much needed shades of grey into this series (she’s a good person but sometimes uses questionable means of attaining her objectives). But yeah, I agree that the other two have potential and should have been utilized a bit better.

Also regardless of whether Madoka’s father is in the center of some massive conspiracy or is simply just kind of a jerk I still would like some sort of resolution between the two of them before this series is finished.

      Yuni's pretty eh to me.

Besides her sob story, there's nothing about her I really care about, and I feel like the episodes that followed her Cure debut were trying to shoehorn Yuni into the main group since she didn't spend much time with them. Even now, I still feel like she's not really in the group, but is there mainly because she's a Cure vs having any sort of friendships with the girls. (That's just me, anyways)

        Loading editor
    • It seems like she’s finally been warming up to them a bit these past few episodes but yeah, I see where you’re coming from.

Keeping her as, well, a feral cat who doesn’t really interact with the group when not on Precure duty (I think the only real exceptions so far were the episode where they visited that festival and recently in 37 where she entered that Halloween contest with the others) is kind of unique for this franchise though I’ll admit.

One character I actually didn’t expect to like as much as I did was Sakurako. Sure she was a brat but her antics were entertaining and we learn in episode 35 that she actually has a pretty good head on her shoulders and cares a lot about her school and community.

I kind of wish we had a chance to get to know this other side of her a bit more to be honest (she might have even made a decent Cure all things considered).

        Loading editor
    • I had a feeling Sakurako wouldn't be the fifth Cure, but having a future Cure who was a mean girl (then turns good) would be cool.

    • Yeah, we’ve never really had one of her type and she did get a lot more screen time then, say, Reina from DokiDoki did (or Kirara’s self proclaimed “rival” from Go Princess who I forget the name of. She was funny but as far as I remember only appeared once early on before popping up again later near the end). Might be interesting to see one day actually.

There was a scan a while back though showing a red bottle in addition to the main five but at this point unless Fuwa pulls a Royal Candy right around the final battle it’s likely just going to end up as a scrapped toy idea.

I think I heard something similar happened with Go Princess as well, a purple Dress Up Key was advertised (as well as I believe some other merch as well in addition to pink, blue, and yellow) but in the end nothing ever materialized.

      Was she?

Even if she was, I found Reina more memorable.

    • If you’re talking about Ranko I don’t remember that clearly. She certainly acted like it but I’m not sure if Kirara had even met her before prior to her debut (and like I said, despite the end of the episode revealing that she’s also a student at Noble Academy she just sort of disappears after that until Dyspear attacks the school during the series endgame).

I came to like Reina by her second appearance but much like Alice herself she was sort of underutilized. Sakurako meanwhile has maintained a constant presence throughout the season and is basically the most memorable side character in the whole show (in my opinion anyway).

I do find it weird that (as far as I can remember) she’s never really personally interacted with her supposed rival Madoka though, with some slight rewrites episode 35 could have easily been a Madoka spotlight instead.

    • My hopes are that there is

      1. GOOD CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!

      2. A white or maybe even black cure!

      3. A rival character like Sakurako or Ranko actually becoming a cure

      4. Not a copy a Hugtto.

Also, Sato Masayuki designed Happiness Charge, right?

So let's hope that not every Cure is wearing a ponytail this time.

        Loading editor
    • Assuming it actually is medical/rescue themed then a white nurse themed Cure would make a lot of sense (white would also work for an angel theme as well). I’d also like a season where some (or maybe even all) of the Cures were sisters or otherwise blood relatives of some kind.

If the clock motif of Miracle Leap is to be taken as a hint it seems likely that we’ll probably start with a duo this time (or at least a HeartCatch/Happiness Charge style situation where the second Cure joins shortly after the first does and then they just stick with two for a little while), possibly Pink and Green given the logo. Aside from MaCherie and Amour we haven’t really had one of those since Maho Girls so that could be fun.

        Loading editor
    • If the first two Cures are a duo, how would the Pink Cure's cameo in Star Twinkle's finale work?

Of course they're going to have her appear as a civilian and Cure. But if she needs her partner to transform, wouldn't Toei need to introduce them both in the finale episode rather than just he Pink Cure? (Or they'll be inconstant and have the pink Cure being able to transform somehow by herself)

        Loading editor
    • I’m going to assume it’s either a HeartCatch situation where the second one joins right after the first or they’ll break tradition for once and have two Cures show up during the Star Twinkle finale (or better yet, not do a cameo at all and just leave it with the usual handoff at the end of the episode), we’ll just have to see.

Alternatively they could still start Healin’ Good with two Cures but have it be that they just happen to gain their powers at the same time and are capable of transforming by themselves if needed.

I actually suspect this was the case with MaCherie and Amour (the former was active during the original timeline after all) but they just never ran into a situation where they had to transform separately.

Then again, it wouldn’t be the first time Toei’s been inconsistent about this (the Maho Girls finale takes place a few years in the future but Ichika still shows up anyway).

Toei will surely have the Pink Cure give her shoehorned cameo.

I love the idea of a duo with separate transformations. It'd be more preferred than having them being side-by-side all the time.

        Loading editor
    • Yeah, the problem I’ve always had with duo Cures is that needing a partner to transform puts them at a huge disadvantage when it comes to combat. If their partner gets hit hard enough to knock them out of their transformation then the remaining one instantly loses her powers as well and if one of them gets attacked while alone all she can really do is survive and hope her partner can find her in time.

So yeah, starting with two people but allowing them to transform separately would probably be the best scenario for future shows like this.

        Loading editor
    • Lowkey just want 3 cures. I like the number three.

        Loading editor
    • I like how Futari wa did things. Since there was less cures, more plot driven episodes and character focus episodes can work well together without affecting the plot too much. That's the problem I have with STPC, the large amount of focus episodes with nothing to do with the plot isn't that great, and Lala and Yuni are always shoved in the episodes. After Unicorn Fuwa, the series just went downhill again.

        Loading editor
    • Honestly I’d like to see them not even bother with adding any extra Cures and just go back to basics with a season exclusively about a duo. But that’s probably not likely considering you can’t sell quite as many toys that way.

        Loading editor
    • But if it we're to be a duo, then I'll be down with that but I don't want to see that the only way to transform is for them to do it together. As said by Anzan, it could bring a disadvantage as the previous examples they mentioned, though I must admit it does bring a challenge to them so who am I to complain? The type of duo I usually prefer are the ones that don't need to transform together and can do it separately, take Heartcatch for example. Tsubomi and Erika have separate transformations if they were in a situation alone but they also added in a bonus of them transforming together if they were both encountering the fight. As for the mid cures, it will either go two ways; 1) they'll go to the Heartcatch route where they'll introduce a cure midseason and will bring in another cure later in the season or 2) will only bring one midseason cure and hey, maybe they'll actually do something new with her transformation, they'll add her in the duo transformation now becoming a trio transformation but I doubt they'll do that since budget can sometimes be limiting.

But it could also be that they start of with three and later becomes a four-membered team considering that I think the number of hearts in the pawprint could be a hint of the number of cures. I mean, Go! Princess's logo has two colors (pink and blue) for the font and we ended up starting with three cures. I also don't want, and realized, if they start with four, there will be a higher chance to end up having five-membered team.

        Loading editor
    • Sometimes five works (Smile, the first season of Yes 5) but yeah, generally with bigger teams somebody’s usually going to be left behind (typically the Yellow for some reason).

Though like I’ve said before, Happiness Charge just had four and only two of them actually wound up mattering by the end so having good writers is important in this regard as well.

        Loading editor
    • I just realized something! Okay, if you remember there are little, pink flowers on the logo but doesn't it look like as if they're almost shaped or placed as it was a cross? This could also indicate about an angel theme, and (adding in the word healing because angels are known for that, Star Twinkle's 2nd ED where Star and Cosmo were praying, even Kirakira's 2nd ED have mentioned the word angels.)

So now just thinking about it, what if it isn't just one main theme that they're focusing along with a sub-theme that has the same theme as its main (take the possible animal sub-theme as an example), but what if they were to combine two main themes, saving Earth and an angels theme? It would be quite cool if it were to happen, considering that angels would protect (or "heal" metaphorically speaking) our planet, I would even say that if they were to be going for that approach it would be such a creative idea that I hope it won't be messed up.

        Loading editor
    • I can see an angel theme, but I'm not sure about the earth theme. If they're angels, their objective can be to 'heal the world', but probably more in terms of helping humans vs environmentalism.

Maybe they can also heal animals and, if they want to expand, plants?

I don't get the joke, but a fallen angel (or archangel) type character would be nifty.

        Loading editor
    • A team of angels defending the Earth in secret while disguised as humans might be cool, maybe give them a human ally as well who either becomes a Cure herself eventually or at least falls into a support role ala Seiji and Yui.

If it’s another group of three or more it might also be interesting to bring in the whole team right off the bat and then spend a few episodes after that properly introducing each Cure individually. I think the closest thing we had to that was Happiness Charge where everybody except Megumi was already a Precure by the time the series began, they just hadn’t formed a proper team yet.

It doesn't have to be environmental but gauranteed it could be used as a sub or left with some features to it. Usually Earth's symbolizes life and maybe the reason why the logo has plants and paw print is because not only are humans living creatures but plants and animals too.

Maybe each cure would represent a type of life they must protect as angels; pink cure protects the humans, green cure protects the plants, while maybe the midseason cure protects animals. If it starts as a trio, then it'll be kept the same while the other would represent the spiritual aspect of Earth a.k.a Heaven. So, the Earth theme doesn't need nature as its main but as whole as a world of life and angels, being another main, as protectors of Earth.

Like I said though, we usually get our first glimpse at the designs around December or so.

        Loading editor
    • Yeah, it'd be quite a while before we get any official leaks.

Plus I find speculating to be fun!

        Loading editor
    • I can't wait to see the designs, hopefully they have good personalities and stories to go with them.

        Loading editor
    • I also hope every Cure has her own story arc and isn’t more or less just there to fill out the team (Yuko, Elena, Rin in GoGo). The former did at least have the whole Phantom thing and a weird obsession with rice though.

        Loading editor
    • As I mentioned, the pink can be the tomboy, tsurime, and instructor girl; and the green can be the cute, tareme, and happy girl.

        Loading editor
    • I will be disappointed if the green Cure (if there even is one) has pink, blonde, or teal hair.

Give her Bibury's hair color like damn.

Ever since Dream Stars, green hair has been the only missing color

        Loading editor
    • I like how Felice,Parfait and Milky design were successful and make the children accept it since they aren't fully green so... their popularity is so different than before. Felice has pink and green (see her as pinkish cure than green) Parfait has rainbow and cyan. (This is first time she as rainbow cure but her background is green) Milky on another level which her popularity is really huge because her colors is Teal (doesn't matter she is part of green cure team like Sunny tho.) and trick everyone for who calling her blue or green.

        Loading editor
    • I didn't care for Parfait's design; even if she wasn't a Green cure, I didn't get why she didn't get some kind of theme for her colors pallet. It seems like they gave her a bunch of random colors and said 'she shall be the green Cure'.

        Loading editor
    • Ciel did wear a lot of green in her civilian form though but that’s the only explanation I can think of. At least Felice and Milky look vaguely greenish (and the latter even refers to herself as such in Star Twinkle 37).

But yeah, I can accept the literally named Cure Black as being Pink because she’s the “leader” (even though Futari technically doesn’t have one) and main character of that season but Parfait’s designation has always sort of been an issue for me.

Also, Sunny is clearly orange, Luminous is mostly pink except for her hair, and Moonlight was once literally called a silver Precure by one of Tsubomi’s classmates but they’re officially Red, Yellow, and Purple respectively for some reason.

Personally I wish they’d just drop the whole policy that Cures can only be one of 7 colors (pink, blue, yellow, red, purple, green, white) and just start giving us some more unique ones one day.

        Loading editor
    • An idea I thought up yesterday; what if there was a series where the Cures had to keep their identities a secret from the villains?

Usually the Cures transform in front of the enemies with no cares, so I think it'd be a neat twist if they had t keep themselves secret from the enemies. Maybe the enemies can try to uncover the Cures' identities for some reason, like wanting to take them out in their civilian forms.

        Loading editor
    • A show where the Cures tried to keep their identities secret even from their enemies would be an interesting idea, yes. I’m not entirely sure how their first transformation would work in that regard as most Cures seem to gain their powers through some particularly strong act of bravery (which more often then not means jumping headlong into the conflict without thinking).

Near as I can tell the whole secret identity aspect is mainly just to protect their private lives as otherwise the bad guys usually know exactly who they are and sometimes even specifically target their friends and families.

Heck, sometimes there isn’t even a particularly good explanation for it (Smile did it more or less because Candy thought secret identities were cool and Riko chose not to reveal herself as a Cure in Magic World simply because she thought it’d be too embarrassing for her).

They can transform in front of the monster, but the enemies won't be there to see?

        Loading editor
    • Usually a general is typically present at the battle when a new Cure is born (they’re the ones making and commanding the monsters after all) but I’m sure you could get around that somehow.

Though that said, it might also be interesting if the MOTWs had some level of sentience and weren’t just mindless beasts. As far as I can remember the only monsters in the franchise capable of human speech aside from just saying their name over and over were the ones from HeartCatch, DokiDoki, and the first few episodes of KiraKira (who were also unique in that they started off small and then grew bigger the more Kirakiraru they absorbed).

That's what I was thinking. Just have a monster appear at first and then have one of the generals come in later. Tokyo Mew Mew did that (even though it isn't a Pretty Cure season).

Also, it would be really cool if the villains had secret identities, too. So not only do the villains not know Pretty Cure's true forms, but Pretty Cure don't know the villains' true forms. Imagine if they were actually friends with each other in their civilian forms before they know about each others' secret identities!

        Loading editor
    • That would be interesting, maybe even have some of them be classmates or faculty at the school the Cures go to as well (or even people from the same town) and neither of them finding out who the other is until near the end of the series.

Another idea would be an evil (or at least amoral) Cure who wasn’t a clone or under mind control but rather just a self-serving person who abused her power recklessly, treated the whole situation like a game, and fought anyone who got in her way (be they the Cures or the villains). She’d of course come around to the good side by the end but the idea of an enemy that knew exactly who the Precure were and could fight them on an equal level could be interesting at least.

Honestly it wouldn’t really be that different from any other reformed villain in the franchise, this one would just be able to fight the Cures using a similar power source (which they sort of did already with Twilight in Go Princess) but wouldn’t be beholden to either side of the conflict.

Of course, that begs the question of how someone like that would even get her hands on such an ability to begin with (we’ve seen in the past that if your heart’s not into it the power will straight up reject you) but I’m sure they could figure something out.

    • Whatever happens, I hope that Megumi Ogata voices a character in Healin' Good, or just a future season in general. She's my favorite voice actor.

Also, this would probably never happen, but I think it would be absolutely adorable if Kradness voiced a mascot. He's a singer, not an actor, but it doesn't hurt to imagine.

        Loading editor
    • If we’re talking voice actors then I want Megumi Hayashibara back (though she did voice Nico in the Smile movie). Kazuki Yao would also make a good villain, fairy, and/or side character as well.

While it starts intimidating, she reveals that she's in love with the lead cure's brother, and she must help her make them an item.

it'll be like a crossover of the first episode of anime-gataris/Oresuki

    • I just realized, if the rumors of this season being medical/resuce themed, then that means this would be the third time we see a blue Cure become a docter (Cure Mermaid and Cure Ange)

        Loading editor
    • Cure Aqua and Cure Diamond aspired to become doctors as well.

        Loading editor
    • Oh right, I forgot about them. Welp, guess the blue Cure curse lives on...

        Loading editor
    • Assuming there is a Blue anyway, the current rumor seems to suggest a Pink and Green duo (at least to start with).

        Loading editor
    • That would actually be interesting since Green is a rare color for a Partner Cure to have.

        Loading editor
    • I’m also hoping for a Green that actually looks green as opposed to teal like the last three have been. If it’s medical themed that sounds like a good excuse to finally give us another core White Cure as well.

    • Yeah, but who would write for this series?

Also, is it just me or does the leaked logo resemble the style of Go Princess Precure...

        Loading editor
    • I imagine we’ll know in another month or so at least. I don’t really remember any staff names too well but my vote would go to the HeartCatch and/or Hugtto writer(s).

        Loading editor
    • Here's hoping the latter...

Also, has anyone heard of a Youtube channel named Azenzone?

        Loading editor
    • Yep, I watch his reviews frequently. I’d also recommend a channel called Tyranno who is currently going through an overview of the franchise season by season.

In particular I’d recommend checking out his Go Princess video as he goes into some stuff I didn’t really notice at first (such as the series being somewhat of an homage to Revolutionary Girl Utena).

        Loading editor
    • I've actually watched nearly all of his videos on Precure sans the interlude and Go! Princess. I actually laughed a lot after his shipping jokes, the intro to his DokiDoki review, and the whole love triangle bit from Happiness Charge (Macross segment included)

In all seriousness though, I'm hoping for either Yuya Takahashi or Riku Sanjou to write for this series or for a future Precure season

    • I was a lurker previously but have something for you all. So I came across twitter the other day and I found what looks like a preview of the next 3 cures (search healin' good in japanese and sort by latest, you might need to scroll a bit). I'm pretty sure this is real. We have 3 cures so far, Pink, blue and purple + a little cute critter on the side with a nurse theme to the outfits (well the pink cure does anyway) and a classic precure side pouch. The style is very different to the last 3 or more precures that have gone by, more childish. Thought I share this, it's the closest I've come for anything about the newest precure.

    • Felice, Parfait (I still personally question this one even if Toei has confirmed it), and Milky are all officially Green Cures (the latter is even directly referred to as such in Star Twinkle itself), I just meant I’d like a Cure that was a bit more of a darker shade of green like Mint and March were.

Though as for the theme, the heart shaped paw print on the logo likely means something as well (I’d like to see the return of animal themed suits and powers from KiraKira honestly).

There’s a lot of different ways this could go honestly, we’ll just have to wait for the official reveal.

    • I think toei aware about green cure being unpopular because whatever reason. Mint and March aren't that popular than Milky in japan.. if they try different hair color for green cure then it worked fine but better than nothing.

    • They should have given the green Cures more screen time, and make their hair green. Green can't be a new color in Japan because grass and trees exist, even back then. Anything unsold, in theory, would have raised the value for Mint and March figures. Toei would still make money either way, and would have helped children whose favorite color is green to be positively represented.

But if it is a real leak, then I like that the pink Cure looks mature. We might actually have a pink Cure with a unique personality for once. I won't be holding my breath, though.

        Loading editor
    • My best guess is that it’s a photo someone took on their phone during a private showing and they intentionally blurred it to decrease their chances of being caught. Still no guarantee it’s real of course.

        Loading editor
    • Nevermind, looks like it was fake. Someone on Tumblr found the full image from that supposed “leak”:

    • Yeah, I also noticed that only the fake leaks are blurry.

Form what I can recall, none of the recent actual leaks have been that blurry.

    • I was looking foward to "Aikatsu" style precure series (art) in that blurry leak it looked like "aikatsu"

With a quick Google translate, I find that it does involve the Earth and nature somewhat, and their partners are animals with healing powers, so the mascots will more than likely resemble them. I'm waiting until I get a better translation that doesn't involve me using Google translate but that's what I got so far.

      It could be about totems.

The background definitely gives me 'magical forest' vibes.

    • Im more excited to see how they pull this off. Tbh, I was hoping it wouldnt be animal themed because my initial reaction is it'll be childish but I had the same reaction when Go! Princess was revealed like "Nooo...a show about princesses? Its gonna be tooo bubbly and cute" and turns out it was the complete opposite and ended up being one of my favorite seasons. So hopefully it can keep me interested. So far, it sounds unique and if anything...I hope they incorporate the animals techniques into the cures unlike Kira Kira where the girls just looked like animals.

Cant wait to see the designs and find out more!

    • If they reallý had 5 cures then joining with hugtto and star twinkle as another fresh+heartcatch+suite at three year in row but again, that color of background doesn't mean there will be 5 cures but more likely has something with nature/earth.

    • Can we all agree that this is the most anticipated season/most desired leaks than any other season in the past? lol

        Loading editor
    • Hmmm no I can't agree. I think it's about the same as past seasons. I remember there being a lot more Star Twinkle hype tbh, especially given at this point last year, we had like a gazillion fake leaks, while Healin' Good has around 10 from what I've noticed. It's still a lot though! The hype will most definitely pick up though when we start getting actual real leaks though.

EDIT: And also it might feel like there is a lot of hype because Precure has been getting a lot of recognition lately, and I have been seeing many new fans joining the fandom this year.

        Loading editor
    • I suppose. I guess there seems to be more speculation to me since I myself am all the more anxious and leak-speculating due to that super green logo

And agreed, there's plenty of new fans. It's also quite satisfactory to see random Precure clips on YouTube getting 100k to 1m views

        Loading editor
    • Ah that could definitely be the case. When you're more hyped for something, you'll go to see what others are saying too, so it might feel like a lot of people are talking about it more than usual!

oh wow, that proves the Precure fandom is getting a lot bigger now.

      Me neither

    • Yeah, we all want green-haired green cures that are like Komachi and Nao because when Toei tried to represent characters based on how kids are supposed to be like or like, they either don't come close to that, nor do they seem positive towards viewers. Characters that are different like Elena succeeded despite Mexicans seem to be a minority in Japan, same thing for Europeans and Americans who lived in Japan. But people including kids' favorite color being green is what we assume exist in Japan by a large population like the rest of the world. Yes, you can make a color character a great character with a great story. She can be smart and strong who trained from where and who she can find. I'm not into pink, but I do respect boys wearing pink ever since Bret Hart. I'm still say a pink and green duo is most original idea for Precure that can succeed by execution.

I know we already have a Cure Southern Cross from Happiness Charge (apart of the International Cures) but I feel like this season's group attack "Southern Cross Shot" might be a clue.

Other names Ive thought of are Cure Olive, Cure Clover, Cure Vine & Cure Heal, lol. I tried to think of names that kind of role off the tongue and would be reasonable. What names do yall think might be the official names for next year?

    • Here's what I'm hoping for Healin' Good....

We get a three/four-Cure team with the first three representing the land, sea, and sky with the Sixth Ranger representing all three. Considering the speculated animal theme, I'm thinking that each of the Cures would be represented by an animal from each of these areas.

For example, the pink Cure could be represented by a tiger, the blue cure would be represented by a dolphin, and the yellow cure would be represented by a hawk.

As for the sixth? Maybe something mythical like a gryphon? IDK

        Loading editor
    • Okay so there's this rumor that's starting to go through about the cures' and mascots' names. The link is from Ranze in Twitter. Don't know if this is true but it won't hurt to speculate.

      https://twitter.com/rarararanze/status/1203072537267032069

Apparently, it seems we'll be starting with two cures and two mascots, Cure Perfume/Chiuhara(or Chihiro???) Rinku and Cure Clear/Harebono Mebuki. As for the mascots, Wander(or Wonder???) and Nyanto. They seem pretty cheesy but that's precure for you, yet again they do sound nice ngl.

Again, I don't know what to think of the cures' personality but my opinions on their names. Cure Perfume is a nice name, simple but nice (the tone that I'm imagining Healin' Good would be like) and I'm guessing it is the pink cure. I don't know what to think of Cure Clear though, and she sounds more of a white cure due its transparent color (Toei you better give us a green cure-) but as usual, I'll get used to it like I did with Yell and Milky. The only thing that gives me confliction is what these names have something to do with its theme. "Clear" is probably to clear the bad things away from the Earth and "Perfume"... While it is a nice name, I certainly cannot know what perfume has anything to do with its theme except with another rumor stating Healin' Good's items, "Element Bottle", which some speculated that it'll be a perfume.

The mascots, again, don't know their personalities but I can guess what they based on their names. Since the website (at least) clearly revealed that one of its theme would be animals, the mascots are going to be animals too. Nyanto is obviously going to be a cat due to his name having the word "Nyan", the sound that a cat makes in Japanese fiction. As for Wonder, it took me awhile but they're possibly going to be a dog. Why? Even though I don't know if it's spelled as Wonder or Wander, part of their name sounds like "Wan", the sound that a dog name makes in Japanese fiction too. And even if it is Wonder, the pronounciation still sounds the same in Japanese, "Wandā".

        Loading editor
    • Maybe the perfume will be part of the Element Bottle? (it'll be used the same way as perfume)

Either way, the names are okay.

That's what I was thinking to within Cure Perfume. So that could possibly mean that the Healing Stick goes to Cure Clear. I know or heard that the names of the weapons are debunked but the names of the Star Twinkle cures were rumored before the real leak of the cures and it when people thought they were fake, they're revealed to be real. I'm assuming the names could possibly be real and in a few days or weeks will the real leak show up.

Yes and no, Toei hasn't made directs sequels in anime form true but some Pretty Cure anime shows did got sequels in a form of visual novels take HeartCatch Pretty Cure and Smile Pretty Cure as good examples. I do sometimes wish Toei would make a direct sequal to Go! Princess Pretty Cure that's just me and I do has some good ideas for it.

The argument can be made that "clear" insinuates a white cure more than green, but chocolate is not necesarily associated with red (Cure Chocolat), as one of many examples

They gave Chocolat a predominate brown-red theme, though red was her main colour. So even if Clear's a green Cure, that doesn't mean Toei could also make her partly white as well.

thank you, both of you just touched on one of my biggest peeves with humanity :)

I've met teachers and other fully grown adults that don't know that bugs (aka insects or in some cases arachnids instead) are animals. like that's basic biology I was taught in elementary school.

but if someone kills a bug, and I reply with "animal rights! it's wrong to kill animals!" some people will literally reply with "it's not an animal, it's a bug!"

most people I tell about this problem even, just turn out to be another part of it.

useless, ignorant buffoons.... </3 (not you guys, but the ones described in the problem)
