Komugi Argues With Iroha (こむぎ、いろはとケンカする Komugi, Iroha to Kenka Suru)? is the 6th episode of Wonderful Pretty Cure! and is the 974th episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.
Summary[]
Komugi and Iroha get into an argument when the leash they always used for walks is gone. A new Garugaru appears, but Cure Wonderful is too shocked to move.

Synopsis[]
At the Niko Garden, the Kirarin Penguin returns to their Kirarin House, restoring another part of the garden and its diamond. Iroha is glad that she could help and thanks the Kirarin Rabbit for their assistance, but Komugi is still disappointed that she couldn't use her Friendly Tact. Iroha and Satoru wonder why, while Mey Mey believes Komugi is lacking something important. Komugi then continues to run around and complain about why she can't use it yet.
Back at home, Iroha plays with Komugi for a while to improve her mood. Youko overhears Komugi speaking while waiting for her next patient, but Iroha covers for her again. Inui and her dog Choco arrive so Choco can receive her shots, but she's uneasy and squirms in Inui's arms. Iroha calms Choco down by telling her not to worry and the checkup is needed for her to be healthy. After stroking Choco's chin, she warms up to Iroha and Inui praises her for calming Choco down. Komugi notices this and becomes jealous again of Iroha befriending another dog and starts to bark, but Youko leaves her inside so she won't scare Choco.
Meanwhile, Mayu is sewing Iroha's gift when Sumire tells her that she received a video call from her father, Takayuki. He is currently in Tanzania photographing lions, which he shows a Mayu a picture he took of. Takayuki was moved by witnessing the lion and its roar. Mayu is happy that her father is having fun and Takayuki says he loves observing animals up close. When Takayuki asks Mayu how she's been doing, Sumire says that she has become friends with Iroha, but Mayu insists they aren't friends yet.
At Iroha's house, Komugi tells her she wants to help her, but Iroha misunderstands what she means and plays fetch with her. Komugi tries to rephrase it by saying she wants to be useful, but Iroha has her nap with her instead. The next morning, when Komugi gets ready for her walk, she notices that her leash is missing and freaks out. Iroha joins her and remembers how the leash turned into their Friendly Tacts. Komugi becomes depressed because it was her favorite leash. Iroha goes to borrow one, but Komugi still wants her old leash back. Iroha says there's nothing she could do, but Komugi still won't walk until she has the old one back. Iroha scolds her for being selfish and the two start arguing. As a result, Iroha cancels today's walk. Meanwhile, another Garugaru egg starts to glow in the forest.
Later that day, Komugi and Iroha still ignore each other, which worries Iroha's parents. Tsuyoshi assumes the two got in a fight earlier. At the dog walk, Komugi runs with Daifuku and accidentally hits her head on the fence. Iroha tells her to watch where she's going, but Komugi ignores her in a huff. Satoru asks Iroha if anything happened between them and she rants about how stubborn Komugi is and the argument they had earlier. Iroha doesn't know how to help Komugi and thought that being able to talk to her would bring them closer. Satoru tells her how hard Komugi tries to be useful, while Iroha just wants them to get along. Suddenly, the egg hatches and a lion Garugaru appears, letting out a loud roar.
Iroha tells Komugi to pause the arguing for now so they can rescue the Garugaru and the two head out. Satoru tries to leave Daifuku behind, but he wants to come with him. Meanwhile, Yuki starts becoming alert by the Garugaru as well and goes to the window. Mayu notices all the animals acting strangely and wonders what's wrong. The Cures reach the Garugaru and transform, while Satoru catches up with him and hopes the large monster doesn't reach the town. Wonderful asks what animal it is and Friendy is surprised that she doesn't know what a lion is, and Satoru explains it's because they're usually found in zoos in Japan. Wonderful confidently goes to save the Garugaru, but it lets out a really loud roar, which causes Wonderful to freeze in fear. She tries to escape the attack, but her legs won't move, and the Garugaru slams into her.
Wonderful wonders why she's shaking, and Satoru says it's natural for someone like her to be afraid of a lion, which is known as "the King of Beasts". Friendy tells Wonderful to stay with Satoru while she tries to befriend the Garugaru. Unfortunately, it doesn't listen and tries to pounce on Friendy. Wonderful can only watch as Friendy chases the Garugaru throughout the forest. Friendy knows she can't just keep running away from the Garugaru, so she summons the power of the Kirarin Penguin to allow her to slide around the ground so she can trap it.
Meanwhile, Wonderful continues to watch the battle, but despite her still be afraid, she stills wants to help Friendy. She attempts to use her Friendly Tact again, but again nothing happens. The Garugaru notices and charges towards Wonderful. After hearing its roar, Wonderful panics and her Friendly Tact shockingly disappears. Friendy tries to protect Wonderful, but the Garugaru strikes both of them and knocks them out of their transformations. The Garugaru attempts to attack again, but its mask starts to glow and is suddenly in pain, so it retreats into the mountains.
As that happens, Iroha chastises Komugi for not staying back, but Komugi wanted to be with her. Iroha tells her that they don't always have to be together all the time and they start arguing again. Satoru breaks up their fighting and tells them where the Garugaru went. After Satoru lets them know he'll go looking for the Garugaru, Iroha and Komugi head home, but Komugi is still upset. That night, while Iroha sleeps, Komugi gets out of bed and apologizes to her being unable to help her. She says goodbye to Iroha before leaving the house and running away into the rainy night.
